Awesome work, thank you so much
Glad you liked it!
I'm working on a playing card project and I remembered you had the tuck case opening rig tutorial so I searched for it and now I found out about this awesome tutorial, I wanted to experiment with geometry nodes for playing cards this is a great start point for me 🙌
Glad I could help! Would be curious to see your finished animation :)
Many Thanks for everything, my Friend!! Best Wishes to you. 👍🏾👍🏾

Same man, Its ingenious the way you explain things, and the work is top tier!
@@chukwumaokonkwo9524 Thanks a lot, glad you like it :)
Genious! You are very cool! Thank you
Happy to help!
Same problem, same solution! I am making a trailer for a game that contains cards, client hasn’t the budget to have something as refined as it would be with a Houdini/Unreal workflow, and it’s nice to use the geo nodes to keep the entire project confined into Blender without the whole hassle of importing and exporting. Thank you for this video, this definitely has saved me a few hours of trials and errors
Thanks a lot for your comment, glad it could help you!
thank you so much sir. i was an easy tutorial. i made a short about this, i had fun ❤️🌀
Glad it was useful!

Whoa! This is wicked cool man! Thanx 4 sharing! :)
Thanks a lot, glad to help! :)
(ça me semble mega complexe...)
very awesome tutorial, which this I'm trying to create a clipboard effect but it seems that I can't manage to lay them out in a specific order as to compose a full image. Any clues on how to make this happen?
When you instance object from a collection onto a mesh, the order of the objects in the collection is what will be mapped to the point of the mesh on which it is instanced (so the fifth object in the collection will be instanced on the vertex of index 4 (because the first index is zero), knowing that you may be able to get the effect you want!
Only nerds can apply the the tutorial steps. And I wanna do it!
Not nerds, professional 😎
awesome tutorial. But i have a question, how do you isolate those three cards at 0:40 along the beziere curve geometry node?
I select some cards by their index, for example I test the indexes greater than 13 or less than 10 ans I am left with the 10, J and Q, cards on which I can do some transform (and I put my boolean selection as the selection for the transform)
@@alexandre.albisser Thanks.
Hi, great vid! I'm trying to be able to randomize the order of the cards but without having repeat cards. Using a random value on the instance index always gives me duplicate cards. how would I do this?
Glad you liked it! If you are using the collection info node, I believe the index of the cards is determined by either their order in the source collection in the outliner, or their alphabetical order in the collection. So you can either manually shuffle the cards in the collection in the outliner, or use a tweaked version of my shuffle algorithm from my "shuffle objects with a simple script" tutorial, in which you shuffle the names instead of the location or rotation!
Hope that helps!
Also the first answer here can help you blender.stackexchange.com/questions/265202/geonodes-mix-position-with-random-index-values-how-to-make-random-values-uniqu/
@@alexandre.albisser Thanks!
I have a question, when I add the math multiply and the add nodes to give it a better effect nothing changes no matter how high I change the multiply number to
I must admit that's a bit vague, you can maybe shoot over some screenshots via my Instagram so I can have a look!
@@alexandre.albisser same problem unfortinately
@@user-jj9mq5wf7r is issue was that he set the offset value of the line to zero, hope that helps in your case too
Is there any way to split curve into subcurve based upon whether the control point is vector/smooth, if it is vector then break from here and if not then make it continuos.
I believe you can have this information in the handle type attribute, which could allow to separate geometry
@@alexandre.albisser but how it will be used for splitting curve.
@@rajendrameena150 I'm not sure I understand what information you need
Bro we need in depth tuturial about Geo metro node project base
I don't understand what do you mean?
@@alexandre.albisser I mean we want more tuturial about geo node
@@rofiq206 that's a sure thing :)
I have problem,i added the noise texture but nothing changed
Are all the cards origin set correctly? Alternatively you can set the noise to 4D and plug an index node as the w input
@@alexandre.albisser how do I know if the card origin is set correctly? I tried to follow your nodes I think the only different thing is the vector curve and the multiply input
I tried setting the noise texture to 4d and connecting indux note and nothing have changed
@@mahdyamjad6213 best thing you can do is download the nodes on my gylroad and reverse engineer them from there, can't offer much assistance without looking at what you did unfortunately
@@alexandre.albisser I'll try to do that, thank you for your time

Hello, désolé si tu as eu cette sensation,
