Mine is still holding on after I cleaned it out a few years ago when I get around to it I’m going to change the whole fuse box but for right now it’s fine
Maaaaaan .. I had a lifter collapse and rebuilt engine while tuning it ... this exact thing happened to me . But i assumed it was something I did wrong engine Just found this issue today . Why couldnt I find this video before

Lift the two gray tabs or lever whatever you wanna call it up and it should come out. Sometimes the plug-ins on the backside of it gets stuck and you have to wiggle it around a bit but it’s not nothing too difficult
My washer pump is not getting power to the fuse which may be this situation. Did you disconnect the batter to pull this fuse thing or is it safe to pull without disconecting the battery
What is that red wire on the side of the fuse box pls cause mine fuse box is same like yours but its not connecting just hanging i ddont know if that is the ground wire or something
What I’m starting to find out with these trucks is that the wiring system is garbage I recently had a starter issue where the starter was engaging while I was driving I got a video about that too it was my starter wire
@@roberthanna4400 just walked by the truck and reverse lights are dimly illuminated with no key. Interested to see what it looks like under the fuses tomorrow
I have experienced that also my handle wasn't broke it just wasn't latched all the way and the truck shut down on me in the middle of nowhere of course!
How he explain his story is literally exactly what I am going through, spent 2 weeks looking for the problem.

yup. had the exact prob. put on the scanner and it said the fuel pump and low voltage. checked the relays and that's when i found the corrosion.

How is my truck running and I’m missing half those fuses? I checked because of a fuel pump scan tool reading and that fuse is definitely missing.
Good video!
Thanks
Symptoms sound like my '69 C-10. The box is the only possible cause left, asl all other components are new or checked out.
Hope you get it figured out brother!

Make sure to check your battery cables really good also! On my truck I just assumed that all that was good and found that the post was loose

@roberthanna4400 it's running and trying to tune it but still have a spot where engine wants to die at about 1800 rpms . Giving me bad data
How do you get the fuse block off?

Thank you sir

Hey bro you think if i replace my fuse box with a new one the car wont have to go through a learning phase ? Or a reprogram of some sort ?
I don’t think so my buddy replaced one on a trailblazer and didn’t have to do none of that but I can’t say for sure
This seems to be what is making the reverse lights not work on my 05 lotta mouse piss on top as the old girl has sat. We’ll see
No voltage through the fuse but i have it on one side. Wires are all fine
