I bought a cast iron loaf pan. I weighed the dough (the white bread recipe) because I used a lot more flour than I thought I was going to need. It was just over 3 pounds so I made 3 loaves. The cast iron loaf rose so much more than the other 2 metal pans. I want 2 more cast irons. 🤣 SO, SO DELICIOUS! TFS

@@SheriHemingway We used to have a Mrs. Baird’s bread factory where I grew up. LOVED the smell driving by. We even got to go there on a field trip for school. Tasting that bread with butter straight out of the ovens was so good. Now I want to get up and make some 🤣🤣😂😂.

Why add honey? If I don't use honey, will it drastically change the flavor? I'm just curious if the honey is for flavor or if it helps prevent too much browning or? Thanks in advance.
Hi! I just tried this recipe and the bread was so pillowy soft and delicious. However, one of my loaves had a huge air pocket/hole in the center so definitely can’t be used for sandwiches or anything. I did use rapid yeast instead and I put them in my microwave to rise. Or maybe I didn’t roll it into a log as tightly as I thought! Any thoughts on where I went wrong?
I am curious, do you let the bread cool down completely before you bag it up? I can’t wait to try this recipe. Making bread has always been one of my favorite things to do. The luscious smell throughout the house and the delicious taste is so rewarding. Since it is just my husband and I at home now, we will not be able to eat two loaves before they would ruin, so I want to be able to freeze a loaf.
Hi Sheri, today i tried this recipe and it come out so good. I just used all purpose flour instead of adding wheat flour. I just follow every step and surprisingly came out beautifully. This recipe is perfect even if i used only all purpose flour. I am glad i made it.. thanks for recipe

You could try it. I have never made it with less honey, but I don’t think it will change the flavor much. It might use less flour though. Let me know if it works for you. 😊

You did not get all the air out when rolling it.
In place of honey can i use sugar?

How long do the loaves last in terms of expiration?
3-4 days. They don’t have preservatives so they don’t last on the shelve as long.

Not sure what I keep doing wrong, but every time I make this whole wheat bread I get a blowout on one side.
