Great vlog showing the beauty of Namibia! Namibia is an incredible country. I've been twice now and wouldn't mind going back again as there's just so much to explore.
Hi there. I have discovered your UA-cam today Wednesday, April 05, 2023 through the Lesotho 🇱🇸 episode. I love your vlogs. Keep those vlogs coming. Greetings and much love from Johannesburg in South Africa 🇿🇦. 💖💖💖💖🙏🤝
Enjoyed this video. It is so relaxing and interesting to explore these amazing places with you. Namibia was beautiful. How do u find these gems, Trip Advisor or by word of mouth? I read that Namibia has a relatively high crime rate, so is Washington, DC...Thank u for showing the food. I like to taste the local cuisine when I visit new countries. Looking forward to the next part. I hope you are all wearing sun protection. Thank you. Watching from Maryland.
We do a lot of research to find out about these places and then sometimes it’s just as we go along that people tell us where we should go. The next video is exactly that...we weren’t planning to go towards the coast but a nice couple at a gas station told us how beautiful it was so we decided to take the drive and see for ourselves. Definitely wearing sunscreen. 😉 Trying the local cuisine is a highlight although we didn’t try those insects I showed. 😂😂😂
My dear. Namibia is not realy a crime ridden Country. The. place where they went for church service is in Central bussiness district. The people around that church is more homeless people loittering around there. That's why she said it was wierd. I can promise you we are a peaceful multicultural country. Try and visit after the covid then you come and see for yourself
Those palm fruits look like what we used to call vegetable ivory, I have some that I brought back from Zimbabwe, the inside is a white ivory ball which is why they are so heavy
I have to add when i ate in remote places like in the US in the 50s-60s i lost weight eating that food in desert areas in western US, and on the road it said water polluted don't drink it and the Arizona temp 125* and passing death valley you don't slow down, and pray your car keeps going.and once going to Florida with two friends my car broke down and sold it on the road and we got a lift to bus station to Miami, and coming back we drove somebody's car back.
Wow, my home country. I've traveled Namibia alot too, my most favorite places is Twyfelfontein and Deadvlei. My favorite town is Katima, in the caprivi strip.
I am very sorry Tylor had such a bad experience , and you have to be very brave for a trip like that, you found one Shell gas, were there many along that route in the desert? anyway i was happy you were able to cool off in that pool, and those monkeys are something else, and Chloe was so cute in her outfit and tell her i expect a kiss from her being so cute, bye bye have a great time.
First of all, the theft story makes no sense. so the guy stole his money put it in his mouth and walked away, i hope chloe believed you. Isnt What really happened was Tyler snuck to film some namibian bars and splurged on some Amarula
Woman alone with two little girls over thousands of kilometers of desert country - you are a brave lady. God bless! Namibia used to be German West-Africa and then South-West Africa before the elections in 1990 when it became Namibia. The German influence is still very strongly imbedded in the architecture and food & café culture. BEAUTIFUL land of my birth!
We had an amazing time going through your homeland. I do travel with my husband though. He just doesn’t like to be on camera. We found that so interesting to see the German influence in Swakopmund.
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders : there are still a lot of Germans living in Namibia and thousands upon thousands more that visit, especially Swakopmund, annually. My great grandparents were German, but we grew up Afrikaans - the majority of people are actually still Afrikaans (close to Dutch & Vlaamse) but the new Government only speaks English. We just love the "nothingness" and wide open spaces of Namibia. Keep safe and enjoy your travels. GOD BLESS.
yeah, it is countrywide - you cannot buy alcohol. The reason being that we are a predominantly (around 92% of the population) Christian. But you can consume alcohol in a restaurant or your own home on a Sunday. Also drinking in the streets is prohibited at all times.
This is not meant as a dig, particularly since I don't know your specific circumstances. However, "going where the wind takes you" is not exactly challenging when you have the cash to stay in decent hotels, buy food, rent vehicles, get a SIM card as soon as you enter a country (lol) etc., etc. My backpacking years in the late nineties were a whole different experience - e.g. will I find a cheap hostel, will my fellow train passengers share a bite of food with me since I hadn't eaten in 20 hours, will I get arrested for sleeping on a sidewalk, can I learn to communicate basic needs in a foreign language in a few hours rather than after studying it for a few months, etc.? Just my take on the subject...
Right at the beginning of the Video you said you can feel the UV of the desert: surely you meant Infra Red (IR). Anyway I agree that the (re-)radiation is intense. Your accent does not sound South African to me; Perhaps Canadian? (English is not my first language - so I may be totally wrong)
You make very good video clips! I don't want to sound ignorant but I'd never feel safe in Africa with my family. Everything there with the exception of animals, you can find in America, which is where I go mostly. What happened to your husband? Traveling alone with your girls!?! Either exceptionally brave or outright insane! Be safe!
Which countries did you visit in Africa? Namibia for us felt super safe but like everywhere you go you need to play it smart. My husband prefers to be behind the scenes and is the one who takes all the pictures for Instagram. Where’s your favorite place in America?
We go everywhere in America. I'd say that I prefer the West though. Colorado all the way to California. And beyond... Hawaii. I'm European, my wife Canadian. There's plenty to see in Europe and North America. We do venture occasionally elsewhere too - Central America, islands off the coast of Africa and on our list are China and Japan. But I'll never go to India, Thailand and the end likes.... Zanzibar and Madagascar are possible options though despite what I say about Africa.
Africa is fine, what happened in Namibia to her husband can happen anywhere in the world. My grandma was robbed in London when she came on holiday. It's not just unique to Africa.
I am from Namibia. We do not discriminate against gau people. The also got their own Lesbian, gay and Transgender whatever. But we do have a lot of gay persons even gay marriages also. Come visit our country and see for yourself

Thanks! We really enjoyed ourselves too.

Thank-you so much! It's comments like these that keep us motivate to keep going. 🤩🙌🙏💕
Been there recently and it looks amazing with all the rain they had. Normally the best time to go would be April when it's greener and less hot.
Someone has gone to a great deal of effort to create, edit and produce this fine video.
Thank-you! We try our best.
Cape town and surrounds deserve at least a full week to appreciate properly

Tylor, very sorry to hear of your extreme misadventure. Like Chantal said, it could have been worse. But still un-nerving. Again, God bless!

It looks great I love ❤️ Africa lived in Nigeria and Ghana loved it so much

Another trip home for me, loved it!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying them!
Nice music to go with this video. Ita awesome.
Ha ha “they always say shame”....I never realised but it’s true we always do 😂
Yeah 😂😂
Very. True, shame is a frequently used word, sometimes in inappropriate contexts
I once visited Canada about 50 years ago, and they did not sell alcohol on Sundays.

The canyon looked like a smaller version of Grand Canyon , but with no water in the river. Maybe after the rain the water is flowing again?
Yeah I’m actually not sure. It was completely dry when we were there.
Beautiful
Must be a rental vehicle with the kids on the roof.
Great video.
Best one yet by miles.
Ah thanks! Wait until you see part 2. I think you're going to really like it. 😉
Whats the name of the first song please?
Because the word Nambia is in the title, my phone sends me everybody else's trip to Nambia!!
Oh that’s funny. Yep! Our phones are listening to everything we say even. Crazy how the algorithm works.
I am from Namibia
Another fantastic video.
Thanks! 🙏❤️

Love from India.🙏

Sink area and shower area looks like they use concrete. I like that look. Believe I will pass on the dried worms. ha!
Those dried worms are Mopanie Worms, I also don't eat that.
Ah muy bien y mucho cuidado lo que pasó chicas.
triggers very good guide
very nice church

The middle girl doesn’t seem to like being on the videos.
Nah she doesn’t like being on camera too much.
Three girls second second waiter and manager
Hahaha naminbia I think
You mean deutsche südwestafrika
Old namibian don't get mad it's just a joke
A joke in very bad taste.
It's not crazy when Namibia is getting money from other countries in in exchange of uranium 🤷♂️
Just sounds scary when they’re using it to produce bombs.
You make very good video clips!
