Tsauchab river coming down through the Sesriem Canyon on its way to Sossusvlei in the red sand dunes of the Namib Desert. (3 January 2021, Namibia Floods)
I walked the bottom of the canyon in 1990 and wonderedwhat it would look like with water in it. patience is everything in this vast beautiful country .
Interesting year for floods, heavy rain in the southern Hemisphere. In this video Namibia but also widely reported in Australia and in Agentina- climate change?
A privelage to see this in my life time after being in Namib in November 2020 heartbroken to see the drought and praying all the time for the rains to come. FANTASTIC!!!!
Thank you for capturing this amazing site, I flew over the area in 2019 and it was devastating to see the effects of the drought . Water truly is a blessing and life giving. What a delight.
More rain is comming to you . We have so many cyclones coming in from Madagascar. The rain u got is from the cyclones. Eloise will hit us on friday or Saturday . Pray for Mozambique and Zimbabwe please. South Africa will be hit aswel. Great to see water in your country again. U can see the cyclones on africa weather satellite
@@ReneeWardRealtor yes the cyclone Eloise will come near you. Shes very big. Go look at all the last 4 cyclones that hit Mozambique the last few weeks. The cyclone chalane went all the way to you . You can check on youtube for Eloise. And check southern African satellite weather on google. Wish i can send u the screenshots. There is another one forming as we speak. U never look ?
I loved your video, thank you. The spectacle of nature is truly magnificent! And how nice was it to.see no pollution coming down with the water bar one plastic bottle.
Wow is all I could say. God is truly amazing. The blessing of rain and just to hear it gushing as it flows is so beautiful. May blessings cover this Nation that life will flow even in the desert places from the abundance of the rain. Namibia, have a blessed year ahead!!
Prys die Here. Amen.
It is nothing but the blessings of God. The dry, lifeless desert is filled up with God's bounty, the water. Thank you for the video. Love from Calcutta, India.
trees grow there already, they said in other videos they planet a larger ammount of trees there. guess that is where the water comes from, trees bring rain back. beside that, trees keep the minerals in the ground, grass and other plants grow then much better.
It's amazing how the deserts in California remained very bone-dry in 2021 while this is happening in a desert in Africa. At any given time, it's always "some desert's time" to get heavy rain :)
Thanks for sharing! Was there in '97. I will never forget the raw beauty and ruggedness of Namibia. Hightlight of all my travels.

Underrated comment. That's an even more rare spectacle than seeing water in that river itself... That's what makes these deserted places so special
Subhanallah ❤️🙏
Thank you! Make a follow up video when the desert blooms!
Baie dankie vir die mooi video. Dis so dankbaar om so iets te sien. God seen julle nog met baie water. Van Gauteng

Now we. Must build the bridge over the road for the river lol
Yip. No one is crossing the road on that day.
These images remind me of the song from Toto, "Africa", and the lyrics from that song, "I Bless the rains down in Africa". xx
Oh that is soooo true!! I can hear the song playing :-)
