- Join us this week as we discover the largest waterfalls in the world located in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Falls are 1,708 meters wide and 108 meters high which means they are neither the highest nor the widest Falls in the world but that is still the largest curtain of falling water on the planet.
Victoria Falls are also known as "Mosi oa-Tunya" ("the smoke that thunders") which is not a surprise at all because there are 550 million liters of water that drop every minute over the cliff and continue to flow downstream.
Europeans first discovered the Falls in 1855 when David Livingstone, a Scottish missionary and explorer, visited the area. He named the Falls after Queen Victoria in England.
Today the Falls are one of the seven wonders of the world along with the Great Barrier Reef, the Grand Canyon, the Aurora Borealis, the Paricutin volcano, the Harbour of Rio de Janeiro and Mount Everest.

This video is Amazeballs! Now I want to go to Zimbabwe. The only problem is that I'm vegetarian and I can't imagine eating zebra or crocodile steaks. That's so cool that elephants just walk around on property!

Hello, i am sure the girls enjoy this more than just sitting in a class room, this real, in a class room you start to look out the window and yearn to go to the real life, those girls will grow up real rounded out, in a world falling apart, and they will learn and be very happy showing them and teaching the life, thats real natural and you show them right there, nothing better than that.and i enjoy just watching them enjoy it all, and Victoria Falls, is beautiful, and i had a different pic of Zimbabwe.
Yes they're for sure getting a world schooling experience with everything they're seeing. When I was there age I never even heard of Malawi or Zimbabwe.

You hit the jackpot," Zimbabwe" the dollar is like gold there, they have Hyper-inflation, as there money is worthless, plain papers, nobody will give them gold for there paper, anyway this a very exciting video, to see those animals in there own environment is something else, and i love the way you had those snacks on the river boat in the middle of nowhere in a jungle they treat you like a Queen as the dollar means something to a few people there, and have a great time, i'm still laughing bye
You should have see it. People on the street were selling their monies as souvenirs.
So far the dollar is king in this world, but not forever, it will not take the place of gold, which has been around 5000 years.

Where were the wild animals while you were hiking around? Looked like thick jungle to me, couldn't they have jumped out at you?
Pity you guys went during the heavy water flow season. i'm pretty sure you would have loved the experience to walk to devils pool & swimming right at the edge of the Victoria falls.

LOL. So funny that you had issues sending the girls ahead alone. That is normal in Africa because they wouldn't want to stress out kids. Travelling with kids you get privileged VIP treatment and a lot of helpful bending of rules and laws for their convenience.
I also wanted to say to never approach the wild boar. If you come close to them then make some noise so that they know that you are there. If you accidentally startle them and they charge you then just side step at the last second or jump over them. They aren't able to turn when they run. We have lots of wild boar in Hawaii and on our trails. I have hiked with them and they never bothered me. They are curious and like to follow me around in the woods. But I know plenty of hikers who were charged or attacked by them.
Those are not wild boars but warthogs. They are much smaller and generally lazy and placid until you startle or scare them. Don't take dogs anywhere near them as they would rip the dog's stomach inside out out of fear

strange how people view the vic falls from the zim side and go back without viewing it on the zambian side also were it's most spectacular and larger. Cost involved maybe.
Probably/mostly because of cost. We did both and both sides and both were amazing to see.
That's because the best view is from the ZImbabwean side. Remember the water falls from the Zambian side towards the Zimbabwean side

"in the village the peaceful village the lion sleeps tonight" NOT IN THIS VILLAGE. Those tiny ferrity type animals are not Daisies they are Mongoose. Warthogs have tusks that are incredibly sharp and dangerous. Be careful startling them and never feed them.
