Ya think?
This was a damn Rammstein countdown
How do you make a list of great Industrial songs without Ministry?
honestly
Skinny Puppy is my all time number one
This is terrible, in context of industrial music... You can tell that whoever made this, isn't 1) exactly a fan of industrial music, and 2) isn't exactly clear what industrial music is. A bunch are, while great songs, terrible examples of industrial music, and therefore don't really belong here. There's a ton of truly great actual industrial left out of here... And the reliance of Rammstein basically outs their limited understanding of what industrial even is, if the rest didn't already. This is the kind of person who would put the Eagles, and Neil Young on a list of best country(hint: neither are country), would call Slayer death metal, and Black Flag pop punk...
What would be your recommendations?
You said it all, my man.
sorry, i think you tried your best but do your homework. "Industrial" is not just synthie-Metal. Industrial being first mentioned by Monte Cazazza is an dada-ish artwork Lifestyle and its first musical output is being recorded by Industrial Records in the UK. Throbbing Gristle (formerly COUM Transmissions) did it first, being followed by SPK, Monte Cazazza, Einstürzende Neubauten and a few more.
The "second wave" of Industrial Culture connects to the cold wave scene and was now lead by pure musical acts like Skinny Puppy or Ministry. Ministry mixed up trash metal elements, dance elements, synth elements to the Industrial atmosphere of his main project and Lard, RevCo or 1000 homo DJs. Projects like Nine Inch Nails are art-concepts between Mainstream Synth and deep ambient artwork as well as rock and metal elements.
The term "Industrial" describes a lifestyle, an artconcept and at least a bit musical reference to "strange" or "cold" artificial soundscape.
Listen to these:
1. Throbbing Gristle - 20 jazz funk greats
2. SPK - Leichenschrei
3 Skinny Puppy - Brap back and fourth
4. Desiderii Marginis - Years lend a golden charme
5. Ministry - The land of rape and honey
i think this adds more understandinh by what Industrial culture COULD sound like :-)
6. Lard - The Last Temptation of Reid
Here I am taking notes
The original industrial is pretty weird avant garde noise stuff most people wont like.
1:34 The name of the sng is actually Mutter
Combichrist? Die Krupps? Eisbrecher?
Also, Rammstein can thank Al Jourgensen and company for the riff in Du Hast in particular….listen to Just One Fix that came out a few years earlier. Pretty much identical riff.
Rammstein can thank Trent Reznor and David Lynch for being part of the "Lost Highway" soundtrack and being discovered by the USA
That's why I call Rammstein pop-commercial-music and wondering why there are too many Rammstein in this chart, like it was compiled by newbie
@@dimioo listen to yourself. Who cares what is what. Just listen to what you like. You sound like the dumb kids I went to middle school with. The type that if they see you wearing a band shirt they ask you to name (insert random number) songs by the band and if you can't do it you're a poser only in this instance you are complaining about someone liking Rammstein and saying they must be a newbie. How about this, maybe the person just really likes Rammstein.
Let’s fix this list a little bit in no particular order. Too much Rammstein! You can also throw Doubting Thomas and maybe another KMFDM song in there
10 Thieves-Ministry
9 God OD-Meat Beat Manifesto
8 Tin Omen-Skinny Puppy
7 Suicide Jag-Chem Lab
6 Join in the Chant-Nitzet Ebb
5 Head Hunter-Front 242
4 Daisy Chain For Satan- My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult
3 Wish- Nine Inch Nails
2 Supernaut-1000 Homo Djs
1 Beers Steers and Queers- Revolting Cocks
Well your list is definitely better but I wouldn't throw beer steers and queers at number one
I tend to think Rammstein wouldn't even have existed as they do without Ministry's Just One Fix.
Um Rammstein is good and all, but they don't deserve this many spots on the list. A good place to start is Wax Trax. This label was at the forefront of the industrial movement. I'd like to see Thrill Kill Kult, Nitzer Ebb, Revco, and VNV Nation here!
Love the Wax Trax! Excellent Wiggin music.
Aligned. There wasn’t one song by ‘Covenant,’ either
Skinny Puppy and NIN for me..
There are some winners on this list but left out 99% of the artist considered industrial. (TG isn’t even mentioned).
This vid is trash
White Zombie industrial? And no Ministry? But I see you like Rammstein! 😁
Why would you think they are not industrial?
@@Qliphirot there is a long list before
bands like Rammstein and White Zombie are not even industrial...
Rammstein is industrial METAL, name may sound similar, but there is a very big difference between these genres
i liked sounds at the very end
in this list is exactly ONE industrial song, and this is COIL... the rest ist rock, metal, ebm :)
I appreciate the effort. This list needs some work though. It looks thrown together.
Don't encourage him
Where is Ministry and TKK?
SKREW should be all over this 'top 25' list
At the second Rammstein song, I knew this person was going to say ‘Du Hast’ was the best one
For anyone getting into Industrial Music, listen to these songs...
Daniel Miller - "Warm Leatherette"
Depeche Mode - "People Are People"
Nitzer Ebb - "Murderous"
The Monks - "I Hate You" and "Monks Chant"
Devo - "Mongoloid"
The Nine Inch Nails - "Head Like A Hole", "Closer", "The Hand That Feeds", "Terrible Lie", pretty muchh all of their stuff.
Joy Division - "She's Lost Control" and "Transmission"
$u!©!d3 (I can't put their name) - "Ghost Rider"
Skinny Puppy - "Assimilate"
Hanatarash - "House Dust" (be kinda careful with your ears on this one)
Neu - "Hero"
Big Black - "Bad Penny"
Kraftwerk - "Trans Europa Express"
Throbbing Gristle - "United", "Hot On The Heels Of Love" and "Discipline Live (1981)"
The for the recommendations I'm just now getting into industrial music :)

Nice!!!
And yw, glad I helped!👍
@@N3krOmanc3rr
Another one, Liebe Auf Den Ersten Blick by DAF!
@@dj-um7el thanks so much! I'm slowly making my way through your recommendations lol
@@N3krOmanc3rr
Cool
👍
Yw
Well I'm ok if you didn't mention the all time best concert performers for industrial. Anyone (almost) can record stuff. It takes substance to go on stage honestly.
JIN-ROH is AND ONE.
Yes!!
erm, Stigmata by Ministry should surely be on this list
Resumen del video, Rammstein es el dueño del metal industrial 🤘😎
Pero no de la musica industrial
Gana Skinny Puppy y Nine Inch Nails🔥🔥🔥😎
@@caillouodereck6817 por éso dije METAL INDUSTRIAL
Supongo que está bueno, pero a mí Rammstein me disgusta xd
No sale Hanzel und Gretyl? BLASFEMIA!!
mf really just attributed panzermensch to a jin roh amv wtf
Moar rammstein
Lol. It's a Rammstein list
honestly march of the pigs should have been up there
Ahh? Were is Deutschland?
Fuck not 1 of those Rammstein songs should have been on this list. Lol
Is Rammstein more industrual than Front Line Assembly? I thought it's pop music. There are too many Rammstein in this "chart". Who is the source of one? 20 years old teen? Come on. At least listen for Front Line Assembly - Transparent Species (electro-industrual bridge 3:30)
No ministry, no godflesh
Seems more like you have a thing for
I love the industrial music, but i dislike Rammstein xd
Where is marilyn manson
White Zombie is not industrial! Also, where's Das Ich?
I miss Einstürzende Neubauten for example fütter mein ego ua-cam.com/video/2E_3VZcqCDk/v-deo.html
SPK, Throbbing Gristle and Lustmord
Not one original industrial track in this list.
с койл ор просто
А чё такого? Койл вполне себе индастриал.
Rammstein is not an
industrial, it`s pop music
Lol
just outside germany
Раммштайн только и хорош в индастриале. Остальные -...
Rammstein isn't industrial, but commercial pop music with some industrial elements
😅🤣😂
Thumbs down, not because i dont like the music or disagree with the choices. But because there are too many mistakes in a short list. Like wrong song or band name.
Wonder if the maker of this video like Ramsmstein? Anyways this is an awful list. Many iconic artist not mentioned
This is about the worst list of top industrial songs I've ever seen. Hardly anything from the 80s or early 90s. Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Ministry, KMDFM, Nine Inch Nails, Thrill Kill Kult, Pigface, Nitzer Ebb, Meat Beat Manifesto. Rammstein? Get real. Rammstein aren't terrible, but they are derivative third-generation formulaic industrial. Their stuff wasn't original, groundbreaking, danceable, melodic, subversive, influential. Even the songs they did include on their list from the bands I listed above aren't anywhere near the best songs by those bands.
Well this list was a waste of my time
lol no
