Welcome to a huge Stardew Valley project! We'll be speedrunning the Community Center in Stardew Valley today, which is one of the longest and most difficult speedruns in this game!
I don't have much experience with Stardew Valley speedruns, so hopefully this goes well!

could you imagine this from the perspective of the townspeople? some guy moves in, sleeps for a week straight, then gets to work finishing the community center. he speaks to nobody. his only goal is repairing the community center.
And then he will never be seen again.
Almost like hiring a contractor 💀💀💀
It's even weirder, because they never actually see him working on the community center. He just keeps sprinting in there with arm fulls of random vegetables and fish and stuff, leaving it in there, and one day it's suddenly fixed.
Extra terrifying when you realize he's one bad day away from deleting the universe.
Just a silent, robotic, absolute monster of improving his community

Your commentary on my guide was interesting and I'll definitely be making some updates based on it, especially areas where I wasn't clear enough or didn't include backup strategies for newer runners. Also, I totally did accidentally omit writing to smelt 5 Iron Bars for the Steel Pick upgrade! Oops.

The reason you get two sets of rabbits and ducks is to offset their production times. Their product is heavily dependent on daily luck so if you get an unlucky day they produce their item you have to wait until the next production time. If they're not on the same day you have two chances at daily luck to be in your favor a week.

@@notscarlet8321I think for the second one you want to buy it on a different day so you get the offset production days. But yeah I tend to buy a couple of each animal anyway so they’ve got a buddy. 😊

Watching this video makes me realise that Therm is either insanely lucky or unbelievably unlucky and there is no inbetween. Sometimes it flip flops between the 2 states but there is never any middle ground 🤣
The reason you bought two rabbits and two ducks was to, yes, increase your changes of getting the feather and foot. You got them on separate days because (I think) there are cycles involved. Like, every three days or something you have a chance getting one, but you can get one faster somehow if the cycles are offset? I don't really get it. It has something to do with offsetting something.
It's daily luck that their production is heavily dependent on so more shots at better luck days the duck or rabbit produces.
Ya that's exactly it. As a note in your casual games it's also semi worth doing as well. Especially if you want a ton of ducks/rabbits. Buy them on different days.
I believe ducks produce eggs/feathers every two days, synced with goats producing goat milk. Rabbits produce every four days, so every two productions of eggs/feathers equals one set of rabbit wool/foot
As a note, you can get all kinds of goodies from the barrels and boxes. Gems, hardwood, wood, cave carrots. It's always worth breaking them whenever you see them. I also but a chest next to the elevator to dump and then continue mining.
I found a Wooden Club on a barrel
Mine Chests are a must. I keep one of food and one for goodies with a small stack of spare chests in it in case I need more room
Counting the times RNG blessed you vs the times it cursed you I'd say you were blessed this round.

in the mines, when you go to elevator levels there’s no point in expecting ores or gems on that level. always try and get or find a mineshaft as the next level down will be much better luck! :)
You can get gems, you can't get ore. One recommended strategy for gold is actually to get to levels that spawn diamonds and just reset constantly for diamonds.
I have almost finished my CC. Five items left. I’m actually going to finish before winter year 2, but it’s taken much longer than I thought especially with the rabbits foot.

Therm, ores cannot appear in floors multiples of 5, just gems, that's why you didn't find any copper on them!
on my casual modded run i finished the cc on spring 3 of year 2. i was infuriatingly close to year 1 cc but the damn truffle in the chef bundle got me lmao. I was doing remixed bundles as well.

Every time I watch people play Stardew, they always hate the Dark Mines/Areas and that is completely understandable. I always make sure I have bombs with me before I get to the Dark Mines/Area or staircases, its such a pain in the ass
i'm glad i'm not the only person that just staircases through those levels lol

I know it’s too late now but if you have your mouse hovering over an item, the Community Center Icon will “animate or move” and if it’s already donated or doesn’t need to be it stays still😊

Hey there, on day 1 go to Pierre’s and buy as many parsnip as you can and plant them all along with the ones given to you to start. Birds wont attack plants until after the 1st harvest and itll get you closer to the $3k in time quicker!

I love the thought that Therm moved to this tight knit town, proceeded to only ever talk to like 3 of it's inhabitants, ran around town frantically, slept for days at a time, only emerging to collect crops or go to the mines, proceeded to fix their decrepit community center, and did not elaborate.

Not sure if I imagined it, but very early in the run at about the same time you got the ores, the guide said to prioritise making furnaces and smelting bars. At the very least, I remember many speedrunners having furnaces in their houses by the end of Spring.
