Thanks for the vid tutorial Dj. I haver just done mine but a bit of luck. Tested the new blower then plug in the old blower. Hoorah the old blower worked, I spun it around and squirted silicon spray and all appears good now. Lucky for me as I mistakenly ordered a left hand blower (USA market, Im in Australia) so I was contemplating removing the motor etc from the new one and installing in my original housing. The catch is that the fan blades are different orientation on LHD and RHD vehicles so I reckon it would be a bugger to get the old fan blade of the original spindle without damage. Cheers Gaz
Bro, you did not line up the dowels on the motor. There is two plastic poles that need to go through the motor alignment tabs. It looks like you bent the pole on the curving side of the fan.
@DJ Prekese I have a 2009 x5 and experiencing the same issue but im getting confused on the final stage resistor... is there one on the blower itself or is there a plug in type ? and can it be replaced...
A very good video, thank you 👌

Yes the motor comes with the resistor
So you didnt need to access anything via the glovebox liner?
i did from glove box .
If you think this is “easy” plz do a Volkswagen Golf one… they are easy
