You are doing a few things wrong, but the way you put the stencil paper into the machine the 2nd and 3rd time is more or less right. I do the same thing, but feed the lone yellow sheet in through the back, slide the crimp up to where the lid closes and click the lid shut over the white and purple sheet. It ends up the way it ended for you in the 2nd and 3rd test. The main problem is that you need to use a line drawing with no shading and no solid black areas in the image. This is a standard stencil machine, and it works fine, but its applications are limited. If you want an option that gives you all of the shading nuances, but an inkjet printer with eco tanks, and buy something called 'inkjet stencils'. fill the new ink reservoirs equally with 'inkjet stencils' ink, and print stencils from your computer, or phone (if you buy a bluetooth enabled inkjet printer). This stencil system costs more in the beginning, but every $150 bottle of ink gives you 4,000 stencils!! Good luck!
I did with my echotank printer, with this crap linework even not possible to get it, it's jammed and I garbage it! You can use this for your Mona Lisa, click the link ua-cam.com/video/rK4MZV-6_kQ/v-deo.html
I rip the yellow sheet off when i do it, also you may load the images into a program and remove some of the shading and really just try to get a line stencil not such a completed image.

Did you print the image first with a regular printer and ink....and then transferred it to the stencil paper?
