Taking the Morgan to the ‘Ring’ is another great reason to buy your own trailer there is plenty of room to store one in shmuseum v2. I think a Union Jack nose cone or bonnet would look great. Most of all enjoy your Super 3 when it arrives.
Hey shmee I knew you would buy one, I’m buying one as well. You say it’s a small car, it ain’t that small you know ,and as you found out when you came up close with a lorry,it is a wider car too, Even wider than the existing one, and that is also wide I’ve been up to the factory and the public morgan experience many times as I’m 22 miles away, this new super3 is even more amazing than it predecessor when you see it in the flesh, not even your videos of this car do it as a much justice as when your one feet away from it. If any of you are wishing that it had an V-engine, please make an effort with friends n family to the factory if you can as you will be presently surprised how beautiful sculptured this 3wheeler is.
Absolutely agree with everything he said, a very good friend of mine was visiting from Australia this summer and we hired one to spend the day touring around the Malvern hills, I will never forget the day, beautiful weather, I hadn't seen my mate for many years and we had an absolute blast, everyone was smiling and waving, everyone stopped to ask us about the car, we simply could not stop smiling and giggling like little schoolgirls whilst driving it - it was superb. We were messing about doing drive by videos on some moors where there was a family having a picnic, in any other car I have no doubt they would have been annoyed with us disturbing their peace, but they loved it and gave us a cheery wave. I've driven a few performance and luxury cars, nothing gave me more pleasure than that day with the Morgan.
My only design improvement suggestion would be to double the height of the roll hoops to draw a straight line to the hood in order to protect the average sized driver upon going inverted. Or, even better, offer an optional F1 style halo device. This would work quite well, since the central support beam would be located left of the driver’s sightline.
This is actually a decent idea, but their market is mainly fans of the classics who probably wouldn’t want a halo considering they are relatively recent and ruin the ‘classic’look
If you were to do that for that reason you would also need to fit a 5 point harness to hold you inverted as well as some padding, arm restraints helmets & other things to make the system work. Its not that simple. I drive a Porsche 356, no roll bar, no seat belts just a lot of care!
Morgan must be fun, but what really captured my eye was that white xj220 in the background. Still, in 2022, stunned how modern and timeless it looks, like early 70's prototypes
Just amazing!!! Thank you…I’ve ALWAYS, been a Morgan fan…the ones, with for wheels…never knew they did these 3 wheeled cars! Thank you…this…literally felt like I was in the car with you!!! Why I appreciate you…SO MUCH!!!!
Watched almost all your videos Shmee but this was the first I couldn't resist commenting on. Your super cars are all cool but this is truly a great car for having fun!!! Enjoy!!!
I'm still not sold on the looks/three wheelers in general but i've got to admit it looks fun to drive and the sounds are amazing, all the whines, clunks and whirs just scream "rally car" to me for some reason, obviously it's not remotely a rally car but it just sounds so reminiscent from when you get the in car views of them driving from stage to stage.
Have to admit Tim, I just didn't get the appeal of this car - until I saw the smile which didn't leave your face. Very few cars do that to you. I get it now.
With all the expensive metal in your garage a £50k three wheeler has had more smiles per miles than all of them. Your reaction is so much more evocative in that.
Looks like the Morgan will be the best car in the garage for British Country lanes and a right blast as well, looking forward to the content when it arrives
Love the super 3, my father used to say convertible cars are perfect for winter in Australia, drop the roof, turn on the heater and enjoy, I hope the Super 3 is going to be available in Australia, Rj in Oz
Difficult to compare to the previous 3W as the new Super 3 has moved it on a few generations. People always think I’m driving a vintage car in the 3W and the Super could be a 50’s relic 😝 Love my 3W and never get rid of as you said they put a smile on everyone’s face. I get more looks than even driving around in my GT8 and other Aston’s. Great to see you getting back to a Morgan but my preference would be for the 3W. Still could be persuaded to have both😝
That looks ike a perfect addition to the shmeemobiles, considering the diversity of cars in the shmuseum, it looks right up your street. Can't wait for the spec on this.
i wish more places had these 3 wheeler, watching Tim drive it made me super jealous and wishing they sold them here in australia. i would be on one of them like a bee on a flower
Incredible that you've continued the ownership of experience of this type of car. Looking forward to seeing the final product! Little hint in the intro 🧐 BRG??
U.S viewer here. We have a family friend that owns a Polaris Slingshot. Same layout as the Morgan, but it has a Chevrolet 2.4 4CYL and a 6 Speed Manual. We borrowed it for the day, and we took it on the interstate, in a construction zone, beside semi trucks. Now, if you're in anything else, its fine. But in the Polaris, there were rocks being thrown off the road, and we felt TINY compared to anything else. It was TERRIFYING
Hi schmee, this is going to be a fantastic addition to your collection. Would you consider getting a TVR Tuscan 2 or Sagaris in the future? British classics that will fade away if not preserved.
Great review, however many of us do use our Morgan Three Wheelers for long range touring rather than just for quick trips to the pub. Only a few weeks ago we had 50 M3Ws on the Isle of Man for a week which caused quite a stir. In the last 12 months I've done 12,000 miles in mine with trips to Wales, Scotland, Lake District, France, Belgium and the Isle of Man with Switzerland and Italy coming up in Sept. The Super3 should be even better for touring with the luggage, storage and accessory mounting options. I'm certainly looking forward to driving one soon.
Imagine this chap’s carbon footprint. On the matter of the car, the century ago Morgan three wheelers had folding hoods. If this did, it would be as realistic a daily driver as a Caterham. I did that with a S4 7 a few years (decades actually) ago and it was a great challenge and as much fun as I could imagine gleaning from car ownership. I’ve never aspired to more than one car at a time.
I love the Super 3! Morgan can frankly do no wrong! I do keep thinking its only a matter of time before somebody is crazy and makes a Turbo version of this with 250bhp given its a Fiesta ST motor minus the turbo. Turn the paniers points into radiator points and let the fun comence.
I think the biggest problem is the price, for me if I was interested in this kind of thing, the Caterham 7 offers pretty much the same type of package, arguably better in some respects, for a good bit less money
Hi Tim that looks a lot of fun. As you say a Sunday car to go out for a meal or to the pub in. Having had an mx5 with leather seats I would definitely not recommend it. At times I had to put a towel on the seats and if it’s been parked in the sun then o boy. Go for a cloth of sorts. But agree with you on a bold colour.
I drove the last generation on the roads around Boston, Massachusetts. It turned boring yet pretty roads into little F1 circuits, but at mostly legal speeds. I love how even the most experienced drivers (You, Jay Leno, etc) just get giddy when driving it. I want one badly. Time to work on the wife :)
This will end up like the Mini Cooper!!! Sounds cool to have one then you realise you have 20 other cars that are way more exciting to drive and before you know it. It's sold!!
A really unique vehicle!! Looking forward to the spec! I'm thinking it's something that pays tribute to its predecessor that you've owned. But who knows?
Nup. Ridiculously exspensive toy that you would take out a few times a year. $120,000 in your garage here in Oz. About the same as a Caterham 620R. No contest.
British racing green with yellow wheel arches and gream leather interior ... brushed aluminum gauges really go old school .. maybe a matching super 7 parked next to it ,
As a biker I have experienced many flys hitting me at 60+ MPH in the face when my visors up or even a little stone kicked up from a car in front.. Get yourself some goggles and a gentleman's cap. Protect that money maker 🤣 👍 ps I can really relate to the fun had in the Super 3. My favourite most fun bike was the slowest bike I've ever owned. Theres something about pushing a slower vehicle to its limits at legal speeds over pushing something very capable at licence losing speeds no where near its limits.. Its the reason I gave up superbikes and now run middleweight naked bikes or supermotos. Can't wait to see this on the ring 👍
Nice, very nice colour too, but even the lowest budget Caterham will make it look silly on a nice road, and has just as much street cred, plus you'll have just as much fun if not more (IMHO). Nice vid as per.
I can just imagine this on the Nürburgring. That'd be one hell of an experience!!
or on the autobahn LOL
@@jaszm4713 taking it to the autobahn would be a really scary experience even with a helmet and everything
@@jaszm4713 lmao you would hear the scream of the driver more than the engine😆

I love the look of this compared to the three wheeler, especially in this colour. It looks a lot more contemporary and fresh
It's amazing how this collection is evolving, with each car it just gets better and better !!!!
Thanks for your support!
@@Shmee150 always
Thanks for a great review - I take delivery of my Super 3 in November and you've got me doubly excited! Keep up the great work!!
Did you get your Super3? How pleased are you with it?

Your enthusiasm behind the wheel of all sorts of different stuff is infectious.
Finally, a 3 wheeler returns, been longing for that experience for a long time now!

Absolutely gorgeous design, Morgan really nailed it. Exhaust sounds good but you do hear what sounds like a bit of bevel box whine.
Seeing your first quirky summer cars successor makes me really miss the Classic Mini. PLZ add another one to the garage soon? 🙏
I wouldn't mind another one
@@Shmee150 maybe a mini project after the Clio V6 is done?
Classic mini was shite, don't bother unless you plan on putting a superbike engine in it.. Clio V6 project is cool.
Seeing this refreshed the old 3 wheeler memories old one does look more classic but this sure does look good especially those wheeels
Morgan must be fun, but what really captured my eye was that white xj220 in the background. Still, in 2022, stunned how modern and timeless it looks, like early 70's prototypes

With all the expensive metal in your garage a £50k three wheeler has had more smiles per miles than all of them. Your reaction is so much more evocative in that.
Very nice - there is something else like it - the Pembleton, who currently make a 3- and 4-wheeler. Smaller and a little less expensive.
Pure joy as not seen in many previous videos, well done as you made me smile.
Ya gotta admit. Shmee has the rides.
Looks like the Morgan will be the best car in the garage for British Country lanes and a right blast as well, looking forward to the content when it arrives

Do you see $90000 plus worth of fun....... ??? You can get a beautiful Australian muscle car for that and it will hold its value
Shmee150 Awesome Video I think it's awesome that you got drive that Awesome Morgan Super 3 and I can't wait to see yours on the channel
This little vehicle really sparks the imagination...and that is an amazing thing.
Sorry, I prefer the earlier S&S motorcycle engine and non-digital instrument panel. Nostalgia is my bag.

The Shmorgan is on its way! 👍💯
Having had the chance to own the previous one for 2 years you're exactly right: "it isn't perfect, and it doesn't matter".
the Car that put a smile on everbody face. wonder how fun this is on the track
Looks like so much fun! would be interesting on the Autobahn :X
I think that would make a good design as a four wheeler, too. Fair-in the front wheels and give it running boards......
Morgan makes two different four wheelers :)
@@brqxton8974 Yes I know.

These just look so good in the fighter place livery's with the shark-teeth though.
I'd hate to be in an accident in this thing. When you get it, let's do a Ring lap.
The colour combination is spot on.
Perfect!
Who knew that the most in depth car configurator other than dedicated consultations would be Morgan’s? They’ve got quite an amazing one.
