I've got a couple of SW200 movements, both run at + 3 secs per day. Both are the standard version. I wouldn't want to pay $600 bucks for a COSC certificate either! Love the gilt relief dial and the nod to the Fifty Fathoms.
Everything seems great! I don’t love a magnifier but those chip off with relative ease. That Doxa on your wrist is what I’m about though 👍🏼👍🏼 Edit: I don’t know if I’d attempt removing the cyclops on an acrylic. It gets a pass now because I love acrylic.
That's a great review Pete on a watch brand I'd never heard of and a type of dial I had never seen before. You're never too old to learn and the child is father to the man. I picked up something new today. I didn't know about that circle thing on the Blancpain either. I think that it's more than probably worth your money on this one. Excellent. 👍🏼
I like the gilt, the hand shape, the dimensions, the bracelet, the bezel, the lume, and the acrylic crystal. I don't like the large circles for the 12,3,6 ,& 9 indices. Kills it for me. Should work logically, but just looks weird to me for some reason. Don't like the blue on the top hour marker either. Overall, cool watch, just not for me
The thing is theres enough microbrand guys with cash to mean this might fly, its a handsome watch and appears slim which is the most "lux" thing you can doon a dive watch but anywhere above fifteen hundred bucks and your in Omega town, certainly vintagey seamasters and theres Muhle Glashutte, if you're looking to add a divewatch to your budding collection this would be an insane choice. Also the specs ain't super impressive at the price...Gotta say it looks great, maybe enough people will fall for it, they deserve the luck. People are bitching about Bulova charging a grand for their new diver.....
Peace! It's hard to charge that much. They're an unknown brand so I think that's too high. Thier watch might be amazing but it's too much! Zelos started at 300 now They're selling watches at 10k. Tipsum need to take a leaf from that book
(Have you been drinking)? The Sellita SW300-1 is a slim automatic watch movement, Swiss made with 25 jewels. This is the main competitor to the ETA caliber 2892. Many reputable watch companies are using this movement as an alternative to the ETA mechanism due to it being more economical and readily available. Or in this case a chinese copy.
Ha, obviously I know what the Sellita is. You threw me off when you said Chinese copy. I thought maybe you were referring to a watch model. They aren't using a Chinese copy movement.
@@camarocarl7130 it was a loaner. So you are saying they are putting a Chinese copy of the Sellita sw300 in there? What makes you think that? Genuinely curious.
@@dannyg6592 Gotcha, not sure we can equate sapphire to price or cost tho, Lorier said it cost more to use acrylic and sapphire is available on tons of sub $200 watches.
@@ChillinwitWatches And I will never buy a Lorier due to that reason. Acrylic scratches incredibly easily and those scratches do not all come out with poly watch.
@@dannyg6592 that's fair! And I mostly feel the same way, 9 times out of 10 I want sapphire, but I think the acrylic adds to this particular watch. Appreciate your honesty and opinions, as always!
I don't think you can tie acrylic or sapphire to price. In most cases acrylic cost more. If you simply don't like acrylic, I totally get that, but it's not a matter of value.
I got my Typsim two months ago. And the hype is real. Luv it.
One of the most honest reviews so far of this watch. Nice job Pete. 👍

Great looking, but it should be $999 pre order with sapphire bezel and glass, and a no date option
Great review! Thanks!
Lots to like on this one. But I'd trade out the COSC certification for a sapphire crystal and bezel please
Really nice review, Pete. I love that crystal. Very cool!
So old school! I love it
It's a really cool watch! I'd usually try to avoid acrylic crystals, but I really like this one and it doesn't bother me. And even like the cyclops. 😄
I like a good cyclops these days!

I agree $1200 should be it's price point.

The watch is great looking an all but that price point I'm with you Pete probably close to $1k
Acrylic!? I’m not careful enough for that, I get the whole scratch and builds character thing but really!?

Also, silly name.....
The Bulova has miyota 82xx! This has not a sw200, but chronometer grade sw300! It's pretty feature packed imo, just no sapphire.
@@ChillinwitWatches Fair point, and acrylics better than bloody mineral,it's a cool watch, just gonna need a fairly free spender to consider it
The hour hand is horrendous, looks like a tie from the 60s.
Chillin design, nice specifications. Unfortunately far out of my budget 👍🤜🏽🏆
Peace!

I agree, any micro over 1k is a tough sell, it is a sweet watch tho.
@@ChillinwitWatches sweet review too!
Prefer the Invicta than a chinese SW copy.
I'm probably missing something obvious, but what's an SW?

Overpriced, underfeatured and unattractive. Big pass.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! What features do you think it's missing, sapphire?
@@ChillinwitWatches Agree 100% on the subjective nature of beauty! And yes, the use of acrylic on bezel and crystal at that price is absurd.

An attractive watch but with acrylic crystal and bezel there is NO WAY those price levels are any way justified or value for money

Dramatically overpriced
