Thanks Nick I bought this system a few months back. Works great but yes I have struggled with the timing when doing 5 HDR. Also the head not going back to the 90 degree position on start up. Can’t wait for your next in depth video. Love your work bud.
I believe that you can get a shutter confirmation cable, which will make the head move once the brackets have finished, no matter how long the exposures are. I may do another video, but have got many more videos lined up before then.👍
Hi Nick - thanks for your video - really helpful. Looks like Red Door have gone out of business - do you know there is another reseller in the UK? How are you getting on with it?
Thanks for sharing - kind of still overwhelmed…want to keep using the manual rig. But will keep referencing the video to get things set properly before I use it professionally. I wish we had a great manual or tutorial to set up with clear definitions of how to set up and use all the features of the app.
Comprehensive tutorial as always. Got a Mecha system a while ago and and enjoyed playing around with it to be some great kit but have found it to have a steep learning curve and a bit overkill for my particular needs. So, I was just wondering if anyone might know of any sites or forums that accept second hand nodal ninja mecha gear as you rarely see it on eBay for example. Many thanks for any suggestions!
Just a stupid question, great video by the way, you explain so clear and nice!! I was wondering if you can also use it for flat panoramas (partial), not 360°..thxxx:)
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to do an in-depth review; with hardware like this it's really needed. I don't think I would use this for a simple 4 shot pano, but I am interested in moving to some longer focal lengths and I can't imagine trying to shoot 100 photos on a manual head. Thus, depending on the kind of shooting you're doing, this is potentially a no-brainer product. I agree the UI is cumbersome and frankly ugly, but options in this space are few and far between and the quality of the Fanotech gear is second to none. Hopefully they will improve the control aspect (fortunately that's easy to do without needing users to buy new hardware), but otherwise this looks pretty solid. Thank you once again.
Great tutorial, a bit tricky the mecha app , until you understand all the parameters it's a bit confusing. Wanted to ask you since I shoot nikon full frame d750 and with a crop lens @15mm with tokina fisheye 10-17mm, for my 360's, but will be moving to Sony a7r iv, for obvious reasons, not sure if the lens you use Samyang 12mm F2.8 Ultra Wide Fisheye Lens for Sony E, will it be ok on a full frame Sony, since I'm not able to see from the video which Sony you are using!! Will this crop lens mount E, work ok full frame? Thanxxx so much :)
Hi Nick, thanks for the review. Could you please record a video that shows how to manually control the lower and upper rail by phone (app). That's what I need as I use DSLR controller app for taking the photos rather to use the mechas presets...so if you could show how to rotate it by phone app without taking photos it'd be perfect
Hi, I’m using Platyball as my tripod head and when I try to find the nodal point I don’t see any perceptible differences between nodal rail and the Platyball. Any comments on that matter? Thank you.
Hi. I loved your video. Thank you. After watching, I wanted to get the Ninja Easy leveler II, but it seems they stopped producing it. Would you recommend something similar?
As usual Mr Powell, fabulous insightful video, keep them coming
Thanks very much!! Plenty more to come. 👍

Great video Nick. But please level the camera before starting
Ha ha ha, I knew someone would pick up on that. 😂😂
Happens to me often!🤣
that's what I wanted to see. If this could somehow make the levelling more automated

It would be worth trying the 360 panoramic photographers page on Facebook.
@@NickPowellPhotography Will do! Thanks Nick! 👍

Thanks very much, yes you can 👍
Q; Is this the ONE you use in the video : Dual Axis MECHA C2-E2-E2 With NN6 and Nadir Adapter

Absolutely no problem at all, pleased you enjoyed the video. 👍
agree, its wizard for those longer focal lenghts. I may get the bottom rotor!
Hey Nick. How do you work to remove the tripod? Is there a Nadir Adapter function with the Mecha? Thanks

I will try and get another one done when I get my own Mecha, but all you need to do is slide the bar on the app interface.
@@NickPowellPhotography ok, thank you. Does the slide bar work both for the lower and upper rail too?
I would have to check, definitely the lower rail.
What is the Mono Pod / Tripod you are using with this setup.
It is an Innorel CT85C Carbon Fibre tripod.
Hi Nick How do you bracket shoot with your Mecho C2?
Hi, I’m using Platyball as my tripod head and when I try to find the nodal point I don’t see any perceptible differences between nodal rail and the
Platyball. Any comments on that matter? Thank you.
I have never heard of the Platyball before, but as far as I can see from the website, it's not designed for 360 purposes.
Hi Nick. The links supplied show this with a NN6, do you know if the NN5 can be used..many thanks.
I wouldn't have thought so, it's quite an old head now.
Sorry it will not fit the older NN5's.
Strangely I just noticed I do have a NN6 anyways lol, I may take a look at this setup :)
@@VisuallinkWebMedia how did it go with the nn6?
thanks for sharing! :D
No problem 😊
Do you use slant mode with this 12 mm lens and does the Mecha support it ? Is the nadir taken in slant mode ? Thanks in advance
No, normal camera orientation

It is brilliant, but there is a bit of a learning curve.
