    You hit the nail on the head with calling Valorant players quitters. I only play valorant solo queue, and unlike CS where I also do, rarely does it ever feel possible to come back in Valorant. Even if I have a bad start, it can turn around, but everyone else just wants to get out if they don't get off to a good start, and I usually agree to surrender so I don't have to deal with them. Thanks for the great vid!

      Honestly, it feels like a part of the crowd that Riot appeals to. And partly why I ended up staying away from Valorant.
      I remember this used to be a problem in League way back when, to the point people started asking for the ability to surrender after the first 15 mins of a match and when they finally got it things got worse: Even in casual games people will start trolling if they try to surrender at 15 and don't get the vote their way.
      So I guess it's all about that instant gratification: "If I ain't winning it ain't fun".

    I thought it was only a problem in lower ranks that people wanted to surrender in Valorant after losing the first couple rounds weird to see that it's a problem in higher ranks as well, especially coming from CS where people only surrender in 4v5s and very rarely otherwise
    Edit: I realized you can't surrender in MM unless at least 1 team mate leaves but in faceit you can even if no one leaves(I think you have to play out 1 half) probably explains why there are less surrenders but people seem to leave more in Valorant than they do in CSGO at least in my experience

    For a huge number of people, Valorant is what Overwatch was back in the day. A way for non-competitive gamers that don't really play FPS games to try to get into the tac shooter genre. Colourful, with agents with special abilities. A lot of people simply don't like the competitive mindset while gaming so they rather give up and hope the next match is against weaker opponents. They don't play to compete, they play to win without stress.

    i feel like some much needed context for the surrender thing (which i also find infinitely frustrating) is that in League of Legends, where a lot of the community is from, just saying "go next" after a game goes slightly wrong is insanely common especially in the top 50% of the skill bracket, mostly due to how much harder it is in that game to front a comeback. it still absolutely sucks to deal with in soloq with how not true the same fact is for Valorant, though

    I'm not sure how related this is, but I've been playing some OG Titanfall lately and - even though I have a tendency to lose every 8 out of 10 games - I always stick through every match because, despite getting outmatched by Pilots _and_ demolished y Titans, the game is still really fun, instinctively wall running and skipping across rooftops, running unseen between Titans, occasionally getting a kill or genuine spree every chance game, it's just pure fun even if I'm not very good.
    Admittedly, that is down to the fact I haven't played in years and I seem to be paired with Gen 1 babies, but I am getting better, Hell, I even managed to singlehandedly acquire all three hardpoints in a match once (of course, my team subsequently lost them, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) and even managed to flip the score in another; it's just like the team advisors say, sure the enemy might be winning but even if they've just got a quarter of the winning score left to acquire we can still use the power of friendship to turn things around, and it's videos like this that prove that.

    As someone who's hit high elo in both C's and Valorant (supreme in cs and radiant in valorant) Valorant players quit way more, i play with a duo most of the time just to make sure I've always got at least one person trying, people would see their win rates go up 10% or more if they just stopped surrending before the fist half

    I really hate how people give up so easily, I always refuse to surrender and I always try to boost the morale of my teammates because you never know how it's going to go, I have literally come back from games I have never should have won. I always appreciate your attitude and the fact that you keep saying the same thing, it's not over until the victory or defeat screen shows up.

    Thank you for calling out the losers mentality! I don't play much Valorant but even in CS I have so many friends that just give up if we're down 4 or 5 rounds. I hate that people expect every win they have to be a stomp, and think that if they're losing that they should accept it and get rolled over. I always say, every game is winnable - that's the *winners mentality* !

  • @ansgarmoneyboy
    @ansgarmoneyboy 2 роки тому +5

    i think its especially stupid to give up when you have only played one half of the game. Players in your team may be very good as Ts but bad at Cts side so giving up after losing even a 12 - 0 is just plain stupid and not even accounting the fact that the fewer round discrepancy there is the fewer points you lose on a loss. In my opinion the best solution to this problem is to remove the surrender option except for, if someone disonnects etc. Just thinking about how many comebacks from 15-0 i had in cs is wanna make me throw up as soon as i hear my m8s say gg go next after a 5-0. The problem is not only that ppl actually give up but by giving them the option, they will have given up on the game even though the vote won't go threw.

    I'm new to the game and I need some advice. So I like using the buldog gun because it gives short burst rounds so I son't have to control mr clicking everytime. But everytime I buy it, ny team trashtalks me and say I'm throwing using a useless gun. Is Vandal or Phantom better then Bulldog? If so I will start using it from now.
