I mainly practice in Sweden. Here clomethiazole (heminevrin, distranevrin) is used for delirium. It has a good effect calming the patient and put them to sleep. Sometimes the delirium is gone when the patient wakes up. Anyone else with experience clomethiazole in delirium? Any other pharmacological tips?
Would it be possible to get a list of references for the info in these slides? All, but specifically the study discussed comparing seroquel vs placebo. And the claim that 4mg is sufficient for antipsychotic effects of haloperidol and anything over that is only increasing risk of side effects.
