- Watch me turn a box of tic tacs into a mini ecosystem. Since I made the first tic tac terrarium reel on instagram this trend has really blown up! For this one I kept it simple & tried to resemble a leafless winter tree.
Substrate:
Coco fibre 1 part
Sphagnum moss 2 parts
Orchid bark 1/4 part
Charcoal 1/4 part
Worm castings 1/4 part
Hardscape:
Black lava rock
Mini twig

I never would've thought of the tape to remove glue residue! I love finding chemical-free ways to do that sort of thing.

This is awesome!!! When I was a kid I turned a tic tac container into a small ant farm. It did NOT work like I thought it was going to.
You can use oil to dissolve residues of glue, fir resin etc.
peanut butter and hand sanitizer both work for glue, too 🫣

Personally to remove the residue I use lighter fluid and it works amazing

Hey, how do you source the substrate and different types of moss. I’m in India n it’s very difficult to get a hold of these. Not very popular here (n very expensive even when available).

ok but where's the false bottom? without it mold will grow and kill your plants.
If the substrate is at the right moisture level, mould won’t be an issue🌱
