May God bless you think media for always inspiring the world to improve their youtube content.
THANK YOU for explaining this to me like a newbie 😂 I got so discouraged with watching photography/videography channels with “beginner” videos, because I felt like I learned next to nothing after wards due to it being over explained. Love these videos on lighting, camera basics, etc!! 💙💙
Just want to thank the entire Think Media team for all your great content! I've learned so much from your channel and appreciate all the work you do to inspire others!
Wishing you all well!

Needed this tutorial. I’ve wanted that blurry background for my vlogs or out videos where we just sit in front of the camera and talk. Thanks Think Media!

Hi, nice to meet you!!😊
We are yamaohashi, Japanese couple traveling around New Zealand!🇳🇿
We’ve started vlog since this year☺️
What you said is exactly same as us!😳
Basically we are shooting with our GoPro, but it cannot blurry background!😣
So we will try that too!!
I just started shooting video and picked up a Canon M50. I never realized I had a passion for this like I do. I've never considered myself creative, but since I decided to try this out, I've realized that I have a passion I didn't know about. I REALLY enjoy the process from planning to the shoot through editing. Thanks for all the great videos to help a guy like me learn!
I just bought my first Canon M50.. will come in the mail tomorrow. Can't wait to get started!
You are such an inspiration I’ve started my own UA-cam because of you hope your methodology pays off and my channel is successful
🤔 Absolute gold. I've been through quite a few videos on other channels on camera basics and it's usually very long-winded, the presentation on this is short and sweet and gets right to the point without complicating everything. Thanks!
Been doing video for 5 yrs, self taught.. learned so much from this channel! I now edit videos for husbands real estate firm for their UA-cam channels.. talk about full circle!

Been shooting as a hobby for a couple of years. This is the clearest explanation of aperture I've seen. Thanks for making it!
Been shooting video for my UA-cam for 7 years, just got my first real camera (zx-e10) 1.5 years ago, before that it was my phone or a go pro. This is my first time learning about f stop. Lol. Trying to focus on more high quality videos. Thanks for this!
This is the best explanation of aperture that I've seen! Thank you Nolan and Think! Great summary at the end, too.
I really love this video. Very informative and taught me a lot about how Aperture works
I got my Film degree at Arizona State University and found this video very clear and insightful! It's always nice to hear different teachings on how these mechanics work.

Growing up, I've always used whatever camera was around. It was fun but I didn't think I'd ever do anything serious.
Recently, for my birthday 🎉, I recieved a surprise gift from my family: a Canon Eos Rebel T7 😮. Though it's considered a beginner camera, it's the most advanced camera I've ever used.
This video really helped me understand aperture and other technical terms. You explained very well. Thank you!
bless this channel, thank you
Another good video Sean. I shot for years before truly understanding basic things like ISO, shutter and aperture. Understanding these simple things helps improve results significantly/

Very helpful Nolan! Thank you. I have 3 lense's. F4 Tamron 18-165mm, Sony F2.8 18-135mm, and Sony F3.5 10-18mm wide angle lens. Sounds like I need to add to my wishlist a sigma lens F 1.4? With real estate home tour videos and talking head types, what mm for a lens would you recommend?
Great tutorial. I love my Sigma 16mm lens. 📷

Great video, I've been shooting DSLR or have had one for many years but the lens and aperture information always over whelmed me. I am now waiting on a New Cannon M50 for doing a blog and Vlog shoots and re-learning the information. Thanks for your help.
Good use of aperture definitely changes a good video to a great video. Great video dude 💪💪
Amazing ❤️💯
thank you !
Great Info!!! I have a question. How do you match two cameras when shooting a interview with different aperture?
Thank you 👍👍
Thanks Think Media
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It is amazing what a difference apature can make. I'm guilty of just sticking on auto focus and cracking on with it. Would you make a video on shutter speed?
Hey guys! I finally got my m50! Which friendly budget low f stop lens would you recommend?
Good video 🔥💥💥
I’ve been shooting for about 2 months, I have a lot of work to do on my videos thanks for help
Thanx!
Thankuuuuuuuu!!!!
Just started. Looking for a point and shoot camera within budget for hiking and landscape. This helps with finding the perfect equipment.
Oh gosh I need this video! Still recording on my iPhone 7, but I need a new camera
thx!
very interesting
Okay 👍 I really appreciate this video. I want a blurry background. I am trying with the Sony RX100 VII and can't seem to get the F stop to F1.8 like you were saying. What camera is best for this when it comes to aperture? I want an affordable camera for youtube videos and aperture.
Nice video 💚💚💚
I am just about to purchase my first camera, a Sony a6400 and the sigma 16mm 1.4. I will in the main be using the equipment inside from behind a desk and creating "Talking head" content. I will try to get the blurry background from a wall that is roughly 6 feet behind me. I have an assortment of lights. so my question is...
Do I start with the Sigma wide open at 1.4 and lower the lights to control the exposure? Your answer to this will be much appreciated. Thanks, keep up the great work, Peter.
shooting video for about 6 months and i have the sigma 16mm 1.4!! too good
I have been shooting videos for my business for a few years. But now I am starting to get more and more into better and better videos and even movie quality videos to explain so aspects of my business
please add more videos to the series
I have the sigma 16mm lense too, it's so rad
I'm actually trying to record with my canon rebel sl2 and I don't want my background to be blurry, but I have no idea how to get this. The Aperture setting in my camera doesn't seem to affect my video at all. I'm not sure what to do since everyone wants that blurry background but I don't! (my lens is 5.6). Any advise?
And could you please tell me which camera I have to buy whether Sony r canon as I’m beginner I want to for long term
Thanks for the video.
What about shooting with a drone where the subject is far away from the camera. Is it still possible to have the background blurred using the aperture?
Thanks...nice tutorial.
