Looks super useful. I've seen these a few places now. Will have to try and pick some up. Have used magnets before to rig but very rudimentary. This seems a nice approach. Love the window idea but slightly daunting depending on the window.
These magnets are a great idea. But you can buy them much cheaper on ebay. Just search for "1/4-20 neodymium magnet rubber coating". You could put together a combo kit equivalent for less than $300. I found 44mm diameter mounts for $7.70 each, quantity 4, which works out to $123 for 16. I found the even larger 88mm diameter mounts for $10.15 each, quantity 4, which works out to $163 for 16. 1/4-20 hex aluminum standoffs are a good solution for the the handles. I found a pack of five 3 3/4" standoffs for $12. A 12"x16" steel cookie sheet can hold them by sticking them to both sides. Just make sure you get 1/4-20 and not M6 threads.
Thank man, just got me 4 large magnets with internal thread and 4 with external thread. I get so much help from guys like you that this chanel is worth the effort.
I tried these at $18 a pair. They're missing the 1/4" bolt, but you can use an adapter or attach a magic arm for more flexibility. Very strong: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002032167581.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.7d0f4c4dcvsGiw
The only good thing about this Melbourne Lockdown is more Gaffer & Gear videos coming out.
That is so true
Very cool! Great mounting solution for Titan Tubes. Thanks for another great video.
Amazing. Looks like something I can definitely use.

Yeah, I wish I had baught the combo kits, the bigger magnets for thicker glass would be handy.
That's great find, wonder if you can demonstrate the Australian tape that doesn't strip the paint I find that very interesting
Great work Andrew, thank you for sharing your knowledge....
Very interesting, thanks for the quick vid!

Andrew, another excellent review - ordered
I'm still waiting and wanting to see a van tour.. When Andrew? :(
Another excellent review.
Do you carry trussing in your arsenal?
If yes, what combination of lengths/bends do you find are a good kit?
I don't carry any trussing and confess I know little about it
Reminds me a lot of the slightly larger rigwheels magnets, have you tried those at all?
Not yet, thanks for the heads up
@@gaffergear Anytime! The rigwheels versions are larger, but not something you can get in a kit like this, but a very similar design.
You’re the man! Thanks! 👍🎬😊
Hi Andrew ! Please make a video about how to use a LONG JOHN SILVER stand please !!!
Greetings from France
Lorena
Thank you ! Amazing
These are great. Thank you!
Possible you can give the link for photographic aus tape?
I think they recently added an E, now spelled Androokie
Great product but I cannot get past the $250.00 price for the small kit.
I use regular fishing magnets and the respective 1/4 20" adapter (mine came in m6 or m8 threads), they perform as good and cost next to nothing

How do you spell: Photographic "os?" Tape
I'm pretty sure that's likely the same as what we here in the US have and use called gaff or gaffers tape.
@@DJSkippy Gaffer tape definitely will rip the wall paint/wallpaper. I wouldn't recommend. The product Andrew mentioned doesn't damage the walls.
It’s not the same as gaff tape. It’s 2in matte black paper tape. You can find it on most websites under that name.
Also called photo black.
@@KevinWilling Thank you 🙏🏾
Cobber, been doing this for a year now with magnets from Bunnings
Which ones mate? you putting your own thread in?
Wow
