Just a heads up, if you really want to lose altitude you can do an emergency descent. You put the aircraft in a 45 degree bank and hold right at the edge of the yellow band. No pulling on the yoke to keep the wings unloaded at that speed. It's a commercial maneuver and it works great. An alternative is the steep spiral which you can look up here on youtube. Excellent flying man! Can't wait to get this game.
@@BluGames When climbing to altitude for skydives you generally fly in a lazy figure eight that way you don't fly to far away from the jump zone. Not sure if you didn't notice or ignored it but it was on your flight plan on the right screen in your cockpit. I think the guide was trying to show you as well. IRL time is money and you generally try to squeeze in as many jumps as you can with in your allotted time frame. it's usually about sunrise to dusk on a good clear day. A seasoned pilot will beat the sky divers to the, ground using different methods of rapid descents like @WestAirAviation mentioned.

If you want to lose altitude in a hurry without gaining speed, there is a maneuver called a forward slip. You go full right rudder while full left on the steering wheel.
15:37 optimize, working at drop zone and understanding further operations, including the aircraft portion. Everything is about time and efficiency, especially the time the moment you start to the time you shut it off, there’s supposed to be about every 3000 miles or so. I watched a streamer get a “taxi without clearance” deductions while he was fully stopped in the position hold box. I flew the exact same mission and the exact same thing happened to me in the same spot lol.
Nice, I just did the same mission. But in decent, I followed in the blue rectangles. Took AGES! And in the end, I got a MASSIVE penalty for taking too much time 😂 Everything else was perfect. But the time took too long simply because I did what touse blue path indicators showed. This system is kinda confusing. Should we follow them? Should we ignore them? Odd. But the mission was fun.
Should have started your business first - you end up gaining $30-100K per mission and the same XP. Granted you get stuck in the sight seeing business for awhile until you get enough money for another business, but it's the fast track to all your certs.
So glad to see someone explaining not to follow the guides with these missions. You will never make it to the top in a Cessna... I would never have left them if not for these skydiving missions. Great job messing with the camera angles. I desperately need to watch stuff on the Garmin Autopilot. Haven't ever seen it on like your right screen, so I'm missing out...
It's not a good idea to completely reduce power during descent, as the engine will cool down too quickly, which could result in a crack in the engine's cylinder head. Maintain 2000 RPM during the descent, use techniques that increase drag, and keep the speed within the yellow arc.
3:50 I’m disappointed they don’t have a jump door on that because the jump planes I jumped from even a Cessna has a door that opens up and clips onto the wing below. I’m also disappointed to see that you can’t use the twin otter or probably the sky van, both are reputable, jump aircraft for many jumpers. Hoping they add them in or the system/sim has them available to us later.
I had a transport yesterday mission that was 1.5 hours long and right on final it froze… I waited another hour for it to magically unfreeze until I had to manually turn off my PC. I had to go visit my GF and set up my flight stand and seat i just ordered to her apartment. So I have to wait until tomorrow morning to go back home and play on my computer table at home but I am so excited for this sim pit. I’m halfway set up and it looks so damn good!!!
Nice work. I've done about 5 of these skydiving missions with the 172. Using auto pilot-vertical speed (nose up/nose down) to climb at 75 knots I may have been thinking too realistically about how fast my descent is in terms of safety. and couldn't for the life of me get execution time above 10%. If there's a giant open door/ side panel of the plane gone, don't be in the yellow pushing the structural integrity of the plane if that big opening was closed. always descending at most like 115 knots. I'll have to try again now and see if I can dive closer to the craft-damaging speed-limit. See if I can't pick myself up a S rank flight. :)
NICE! This video helped me a lot. Drop jumpers 87%, Stability drop 75% Execution Time 100% !!!!! Yeah with door-off ops you can only really hear three things…the engine, the wind and the stall horn after engine cut unless you shout. They talk about “pulling the cord” lol sounds like they’re using the old T10 ex-army free-fall rigs which actually did have ripcords for the main and front mounted reserve rather than a modern throw-away or pull-out pilot chute on a ram air ‘square’. You can't do a power-off descent like that!! Rapid cooling will crack the cylinder heads. You need to keep power on and spiral descend. Sim is totally unrealistic.
Lycoming issued a bulletin years back advising that you could cool their cylinders safely up to c. 50F / 10C *per minute* You’re ok to chop the throttle - just don’t whack it all the way back to idle and leave it there. Still not an ideal ‘jump ship’ though…
Also one more thing a 172 can’t go 150-160 indicated that’s over speed for that aircraft and I don’t know why your speed tape is different than mine. It won’t let me get over 120 without being in the red. Max speed for a Cessna is 120 knots and that’s with the throttle 100 percent. Also how did you not stall on approach doing 45 knots? The flight sim is so slow and glicky
Maybe you should try upgrading your cheap ass computer.
They couldnt even be bothered to build that into the game? No free fall view of the skydivers, no parachute opens to see, and no getting to watch the parachuters land. Lazy ass 😂
Woulda been nice
If you change to outside view when they jump you can see them free falling.
