Interesting! - I remember crocheting this pattern in that exact same geometry in school at the end of the 70ties! 😉 I had made one for my grandmother back in the days. 🤗
I love this tutorial and you're overall aesthetic!! Really inspiring. I'm relatively new to crochet, but always been interested in Victorian era fashion. I'm excited to make this and can't wait to see more from you!
Those historical patterns are so confusing to me. The way they describe things is crazy to my brain. Happy for smart ppl like you that can understand the patterns and show us how to do them. Thank you!
Lorelei, this is a beautiful unique shawl. Bravo 👏🏼 for sharing the antique-y recipe for us. LOVE IT, maybe a little longer for me, I like my shawls to cover my arms and butt! Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Thanks for updating to modern terms. I have 2 questions 1) you have a tutorial on the foundation chain? My chain stitch irregular. 2) how long does the measure? I'm plus size. Lovely and smart style. Peace
Hi, yr channel just popped up on my feed. Vintage crochet is soo interesting. This is a beautiful piece. I am subscribed and follow Corrina on 'just vintage' channel and she is incredibly talented and clever too. I made one of her 1864 pieces; a Shawl and a scarf, I have subscribed & hit the like button as you seem have that rare quality and ability with the vintage pattern. I'm unable to read patterns in any format; due to brain trauma, so this is great for me. I'd like to try this with the coloured yarns. Thank-you❣️

Very pretty ❤
a beautiful shawl! yes, you are right in saying that this is not a sontag - those are indeed tied behind at the waist, not like this shawl at all.
Beatiful, Will be nice if u use a light material. Maybe in the future?❤

In German there is the word Sonntag, which means Sunday!
Perhaps this word was previously only spelled with one n
