I’ve never had to remove the fuel tank to get the plate out. It is very possible if you wiggle the plate a bit. Don’t have to drop tank, and don’t have to remove the fuel filter
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk It was a bastard, and we did have to muck around with the filter position, didn't disconnect. It finally did come away ok and slip back in. Done now thanks so much 🙏
my son's vz commodore underneath is caked in dirt from roadworks. what's the best way to clean it without a hoist or a pit so I don't get covered in muck when we're do the repairs? Any areas to be careful of and what type of cleaning fluids best work?/ thx Mark
I just go to car washes that have the drive through under car jet blast. But you can go nuts mate nothing to be careful of under there everything can get wet
Thanks for watching mate, really appreciate it. Motorgear premium pump are pretty good. They have a cast impeller on the back which stops the blades rusting away and gives a bit more flow. I’d recommend doing a big flow thermostat at the same time.
They are just copies of the VE wheel so they are made for this stud pattern and hub. No machining needed. Thanks for watching mate, appreciate the support
Thanks for watching mate. On Vx and VY commodore they only run 1 universal joint at the venue bearing. These generally don’t fail. I’ve only seen one fail a car that had over 500rwkw. Front and rear of the tailgate they run a rubber coupling (like a donut. See my manual conversion video as I talk about them in there). As for these couplings, they do wear out over time. There are slight wider ones you can run, but that requires you do shorten your Tailshaft slightly. Alternatively, there are aluminium ones with spherical joints in them that you can buy off eBay, however they do give some vibration and driveline noise. I tend to just stick with the stock style ones and replace them when needed
Man good too see no fkn around, no bs videos on the commodore's. Your shop would be worth every cent to send your car too mate. Good stuff 👍
You just made my day. Thanks heaps man I really really appreciate the support and kind words. You’re a legend 👌🏻👨🏻🔧
I miss my old shagn wagon
😢😭
I do love a wagon
Drivers Side shock is impossible to remove without disconnecting the fuel filter and still the tank prevents removal of the base plate. Ideas?

Good wagon
Hey mate what exhaust are you running on your wagon?
It has the cheapest extractors that I could find on eBay, going into a high flow cat. From there, it’s just a stock standard exhaust
Great vids! I have the same VY wagon and need to replace the water pump. Can you recommend an after market pump brand please? Cheers

mint. What series those wheels off! Did they need machining or fit straight up??
