Had the same issues with same model number and size tv. I was able to hit menu, system, reset/ admin, then hit reset TV to Factory Defaults. Followed a few question , language , time zone etc. It powered itself off and back on and boom stayed on and still working. ( Tried all the other stuff, unplugging power, holding power button for 2 minutes, nothing worked. Resetting to factory was my fix. Thank you for this video.
Thanks Lance. This actually fixed it for me too! Ours was same model and size too. Suddenly would power on and then after about a minute or two would go black. Factory reset and now it’s staying on. It’s darker than it was so going to adjust slowly the pic. Thanks again. Maybe this saved replacing a board.
When powered up and shining a light on the screen I can see the screen dose have the input Viewing some youtube videos, the first suggestion was the back-light LED’s may have failed. I have disassembled the VIZIO E50x-E1 down to the back-light LED’s. Viewing other youtube videos suggested the trouble may be with one of the other boards. Several hours before the screen went totally black, the upper left corner was darker then normal. Thank you for your very good help.
I tried changing the LED driver it didn't work. I then unplugged all of the ribbon cables and plugged them back in and that worked. It has been working for a year or so after that repair. I gave that tv to my daughter and bought a Samsung! Hope this Helps.
im part of the 1% of owners where changing that didn't help both my boards were ok. what fix it was going the picture setting and turn on the clear action bottom. no idea why but it help with my problem.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!! I had the same issue with my 32" VIZIO TV MODEL: D32h-G9. When I turn it on, the screen showed a 1 millisecond white flash from the left to the right side and then the screen goes black but i can hear the channel playing and I can change channels. (I don't know if the T-Con board or the Main board). Please Help!!
We bought a SMALL 24” VIZIO tv because we just needed it to fit in our old living room cabinet. (We have a larger one upstairs for watching movies with Roku. Anyways..the small downstairs tv worked fine, but it accidentally tried to connect to internet. We don’t have the internet connected to it..just an old antenna. Anyway..the directions were to get it to stop trying to connect it to the network..and to get it back to ANTENBA setting..that you need to do a factory reset, which I did…so I was able to get it back to Antenna setting, but now there is NO COLOR. I tried setting the color, contrast, and briteness, etc…but still NO color. Just black and white. What else can I do???
If you will change picture auto brightness setting to low medium or high has seemed to resolve issue for now. Do not replace board as advised in this video will not fix issue
Now that i see ur video. Where can i find the model number or serial nber of Vizio tv. Cus i have same problem. Tv with sound no pics. Did the flash ligh thing and saw pics behind it. So i want to try and fix this first before buying a new one. Always a feel good feeling if u succeeded in fixing it. Wld appreciate ur input
If you cannot, after trying as hard as you can, find that information..."YOU" are absolutely " NOT ALLOWED" , to work on that tv...or any other device brother.

My TV works fine 99% of the time. But while I'm watching it will go black but it comes back on in a second. Longest its taken was maybe 10 seconds. It will flash them quit a while. The top menu always comes up like switching input. TV menu doesnt go off. I'm leaning toward a cable box problem with mine. Anyone have any thoughts?
Did you ever figure it out? My M65-C1 is doing the same thing. I even posted a video of it: ua-cam.com/video/A6HdprydfII/v-deo.html It kind of comes and goes, and sometimes gets really bad, but I'm sure why. I'm thinking it may be a problem with the main board.
