I have a 48" Samsung TV could not be turned on. After a few detour I spotted the following symptom: T-Con board's 3.3V will shut off a moment after turn-on if con1 to LCD panel was connected. If the other flat cable from con2 to LCD panel remain be connected 3.3V will stay on and back light will be dimmed a few moment later. The board number is BN-95-01309A. How can I be sure that source of the problem was the T-Con board or the LCD panel itself? When con1 disconnected LED1 LED2 would lit but LED3 remain be off.

My board looks a little different, but one of the blue lights only flickers on for a millisecond (which also produces a bright flicker on the TV screen), when I adjust the ribbon from the main board to the Tcon. Since I can’t measure volts, is there any other way to tell if the Tcon is being overloaded by the main board power?

The model you repaired is exactly like mine but 55 inch. It has 2 flashing blue led lights on the t conn. There is a odd image that randomly appears in the upper right or left corner that can be seen with a flashlight. It looks like advertising something about it being the best selling model or something for four years straight. It's crazy right? I will test the led lights when the suction cup things come so I don't damage the glass when I lift it off. I really appreciate the detail and insights you provided. I got it all apart, just waiting for the right tools to arrive. Thanks a ton.

These videos are so informative…I have a Samsung UN65KS8000FXZA….took it to a repair shop they said it was the main board, want nearly $500 to fix…couldn’t do that. So I brought it home, ordered a new main board….it kind of came back to life, with a distorted pix (lines through the picture) and the sound was there….BEFORE I changed out the main board it just died, no picture or sound, and the back lights would intermittently flash, that was it…..so it’s not just the main board…what else could it be? I am ready to just trash it..it was an expensive tv and maybe 4 years old…..

I have a 58-in Samsung 4K UHD smart TV that I bought in 2018. The volume refused to increase so I did a hard reset by unplugging it and now I have no sound and a totally black screen. Tried shining my flashlight and nothing is showing up. The red light turns on solid but that's it. The red light will flash if I do the remote control but nothing happens. Night before we had a thunderstorm and I think a strike occurred nearby so just wondering if there's another hard reset method before I have to tear into the TV and check the power supply.

    Hi!
I have a samsung plasma tv PS64F8505ST (the last plasma of their high end tv models/ 2013 European model)
I would apreciatie the help from you about my issue. Last year i replaced the Y-susboard due to no picture. This time my tv turns of about after 30-90 minutes. Everything just shuts of, even the led light. Cant turn on the tv with my remote even after i replugg the cord to the outlet. I thought the problem sat at the X-sus board.
I tried switching to another x-sus board but the tv wont even turn on or show any picture. The power board starts to "clicking" instead so i unplugged the x-sus board from the powersupply and the "clicking" sound went away. When i switched back the old x-sus board it worked fine without any clicking sound from the powersupply but the tv starts to turn of again after 30-90 minutes. I had the powersupply get a light inspection (just looking after any visible faults) but the guy said that he didnt se any problem with the board. What do you reccomend me to do next?
    Best regards

Hello Sir, thanks for the great videos,
    I got a samsung ue65h8090sv
The tv will turn on but the backlight will not, i ve seen a video suggesting to disconnect the cable that connects the power supply with the main board and with this method if the backlight turns on it mostly means that the main board is bad, so i disconnected the cable connecting power supply and main board and indeed all the led lights from backlight instandly turned on... I got a replacement main board (used) from a person who told me that the tv had screen damage so the main board should be ok as new... I replaced the main board and still have the same issue!! Btw when i turn on the tv and i press the volume button sometimes i can hear the sound and sometimes not, also tried to check the screen with a flashlight but i couldnt see anything at all... Please if you could help it would be very appreciated, (could it possibly be the t con?) And since the backlight leds light up when i disconnect the cable that connects the power pcb and main board pcb could this still be that the power supply is bad? Or did the guy aold me a bad main board?!
Please any help would be appreciated ❤️ take care subscribed!!
Edit: i measured the voltage for the leds when i forced the leds to turn on, and i had on different cables like 82 volts and others like 220 volts, when i connect again the cable between power supply and main board and the leds turn off, i get lower voltage output on led cables varying -20 up to -30 volts...

Change the power, then tcon and main boards and same issue. Cut the TV off, held the power button down for 30 second waited turned on and same issue. Disconnected the TV held the power button down 30 seconds. Plugged it back up and same issue. My model # 75uk6190pub. The power button has never flashed before it went out. Now the only thing I've noticed that changed is it flashes 3 times then powers own. Sound and functional but still, no picture. I did the panel at a time on the tcon board and no picture on either side. Any suggestions?

We need to up the troubleshooting game to techs. The TConn DC to DC IC blows through panel short. The TV needs to be prolonged 'burn in' tested since the problem resurfaces. T-conn board hardly ever likely goes bad and when it does survives the 'bypass tape method...Wish you could tell me the set survived this repair....😓

I am learning how to fix things, if the T-con board was faulty, should you not get the sound if you can't get any screen showing.

Question: I have sound when I connect to a TV source BUT NO BLUE screen at all (just black picture) is that the T-con board or a burnt LED/bad LED strip? How will I know if it's the screen or an LED/LED strip that's bad?

Great work. I have a BN95-01953A t-con board on a samsung un55ju7500 curved led tv and it only lights up one blue led, i see the onter led but its off. I see that the tcon board on this video has three turned on. Been trying to get the schematics to see what activates the missing led power on the tcon board but no luck. Would you be able to help me with this dilemma?

Does an Insignia Ns-39d310na17 have a t-con? Have no picture which could be led strips but it has sound & there's no backlight inverter.

Greetings, Thanks for the Vid. I have a HiSense 55" Roku TV It shut off the other day and would not turn back on. The standby light turns on when plugged in then dims and flashes once goes black for a couple seconds this sequence repeats continuously. I replaced the power board. Same issue. I measured the power from the USB port and the USB power seems to cycle with the light sequence. as if the TV is rebooting. Any ideas ?

There are 3 led lights on that board. Mine is the same. The 3rd led is not powering on. It kind of blink quite fast when you turn on the tv. But then...no image.

I have that same tv and my screen is black but you can see the picture really faintly with the room is darkish. Would that mean a backlight issue?

  • @rlhead35

My Samsung has the same no picture issue and replacing the T-Con board didn’t help. Backlights are on. Removing one of the T-Con cables resulted in a snowy 1/2 screen with an image on that side. Removing the other cable resulted in the original no picture issue. So is the screen/panel bad and the TV garbage or can the LED driver be replaced? Thanks in advance

Big Dog, My problem is I'm losing signal and then it comes back again, I change the mainboard already and I still have that problem. But I notice that if I change my cable HDMI cable to HDMI2 it works fine, but this is a new board, could it be something else, if so do you have a video on the solution or fix?

Never heard or even seen that problem on an LED Tv. I would definitely try the T-Con if the both half's of the picture is perfect (no lines and picture is not jumping).
