Ive fixed about 15 tvs in the last 2 years. Since my son's birth I have needed to find a way to be home so I took this little hobby and I have to admit your video was very soothing, relaxing, informative straight to the point and I felt like I was really there with you. My favorite TV fix video ever man! Thank you.

Samsung contractor wanted $900 to fix my 65” LED UHD TV (less than two years old). I ordered some $30 eBay LEDs off eBay for my tv model and followed this guide (slightly different but I found my way) and now my TV is back alive!! Thanks

Follow up, it’s been 4 months and my LEDs are dead again. I’m only getting sound out of the tv and no picture. Looks like I’m ditching Samsung and going TV shopping

Having a bit of a problem trying to disconnect the small plug from the led strip. Tried pushing in the 2 small tabs on side but it won’t budge. Tv repairers said this tv needed a totally new led screen £800. I insisted it was the backlight but they wouldn’t have it. What a rip off they are. Great video. Thank tou

My nephew had the same thing happen to his 55" Samsung T.V. two weeks ago. I told him it could be fixed and he said he wasn't even going to attempt it. So I went home, ran across your video, and long story short I have a 55" Samsung T.V. hanging on my dining room wall. It cost me a whopping $18.78 with tax and free shipping. Thank you good sir for teaching me something new and thank you for making a video that was so easy to follow.

Thanks for the valuable description of your repair process! I used this process to re-seat the connector for the "bad" LED on my 65" Samsung. Re-seating the LED corrected the problem with my TV. In the process of repairing the LED, I cracked the top corner of the LCD and scrapped the TV. As already mentioned in the video, take care with that LCD and get help when putting the TV back together. The 65 and 70 inch models may be more awkward to handle.

Sometimes I watch these videos to learn if the repair is something I can do or not. So many fragile clips and components...I'm thinking I'm not up for this kind of LCD brain surgery. You should go into the repair business. Few want to do repairs anymore. Given the time-consuming nature and chance for further damage, I can see why. Thanks anyway. I bow to your skills.

Yesterday, I used your video to guide me in repairing my TV, and it was very helpful. In the end, I replaced the LEDs, but the top part of the screen looks a bit darker-maybe I misplaced some part of the layers, or it's simply wear and tear from use. However, it will work as a secondary monitor for some emergencies, and the results are: professionally: a good attempt; personally: very satisfying.
    Thank you for your video.

You are amazing I'm an electronic technician well little rust because I don't do the job many years! But your video is amazing the way you explained you should be a teacher! My recommendation for all this sensitive electronics is to put an surge protector due to voltage variations on the line the element suffer also most all the electronics power source works from 110 to 220 volts so in countries have 220 they are working on maximum and it make their life shorter originally I'm from Chile and back in there when I use to service electronics they get toasted because sometimes you have 210 and than goes all the way to 240 in my house we use to do when not using it unplug it and they will last longer or put a switch on the line ! Now here in USA we have 110 so if we have any variations it won't hurt that much but still always I do have surge protectors is a little extra money but it keep you for do an expensive repair I do still have big box old 📺 plasma and also the new led TV and no issues because of my protection ideas hopefully this information help to all of your followers! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR AN AMAZING VIDEO ! AND THOSE BANANAS LOOKS 🍌 VERY TASTY ALSO ORGANIC PERFECT!!!❤❤

Did some research on the Samsung tv ...ordered LED strips from aliexpress for a little over 8 dollars US which included shipping...also of note is to not keep the backlit settings on max...supposedly the LED's will last longer. I like the fact that you kept to bezel on the surface and lifted off the backing which had the circuit boards...made much more sense than flipping it over and lifting the glass off from the top.

So i just finished up fixing my samsung 65inch led tv by looking at your video.
End result: the tv is back to its life, but again, there's a slight shade on the right side. Also i dont know how, but now i have 2 thin black lines in my screen. I did not touch the screen panel in any way. Just did it as you did it. But, im glad its alive again atleast.
1 thing i noticed, the inner(last) hard plastic you remove before changing the backlight, that plastic was melt from below. Also the previous backlight was burnt abit aswell.
I put it back as it was after replacing the backlights. I did test the backlights before putting everythin back in order.

    • @MyPIDream
      @MyPIDream  3 місяці тому +1

Great job! 65 inch and above are the hardest to do because of size. I now recommend you lower your brightness control to around 50% to prevent another failure of the backlight strips. I believe this is the cause of most of these type failures.

@@MyPIDream thankyou for this video. It was a great help.
One of my friend suggested to remove and reinsert the display cables again as that might not be properly inserted which caused the line to appear. Ill try that tonight and also update on it if it worked.

Success! Bought LEDs and power and control boards fm Jimmy... hardest part is opening the case then removing the white bezel as noted. Swapped boards to NO EFFECT (returned) ; only 1 LED was bad. WORKS like NEW... So because I bought a new 43 TV (not trusting my ability... compounded by the 'try to fix since it's already broken mentality) I now have an extra 43... so I bought an xBox for it! NO MONEY SAVED! :). Gotta love America! I do!

Absolutely great demonstration video. Thanks for the education. BTW the reason I started watching you was your servicing of your Mitsubishi wall unit. From that point on I was hooked. Thanks, enjoy all the PI videos.

Thank you for the video, this is very helpful. We have this 65inch samsung tv and the issue is pretty similar to what you have in this video. Will try to order the LED strips and maybe fix our tv with myself. Great vid!

I had a back light issue, tried a few standard things that didn't work so, using an open hand, i hit my samsung 3 to 4 times, firmly not hard, on the back upper left. Worked like a charm 😀

Thanks for this, very helpful, I repaired my tv by myself. I went to a "technician" to replace the mainboard, after that the screen was very dark and he said that the board wasn't working properly, I took my TV home and see your video. I disassembled all, and I realized the both Led strips were ok but the guy installed the transparent projector screen upside down :). So I change that and everything was perfect. Another thing to check is in the settings, go to Eco mode, if it is high then the screen will be dark. Thans again

I found a small Samsung 24". It didn't have a power supply. I bought that and a remote control on Amazon pretty cheap. But it has a black screen. After watching this video, I don't know if I want to go further! It looks like a lot more work than I thought it would be. It might be worth it for a larger TV, but not a small one.

Thank you so much. 1 st was warranty and that was replaced. But new TV did same thing. And I was about to buy new TV. My sons TV just went out to last night! So I'm glad I found your video. I will have two TVs fixed cheaper than buying one. Again thank you for making this video!!

Make sure you turn down the brightness in the settings to around 50%. This will extend the life of your LED light strips years. Glad this helped!

OCD dictates that as the new LEDs were slightly different then after all that work both LEDs strips should be replaced but hey what a good job 👍

so let me get this straight , the part of the tv most likely to go bad first is also the most difficult to get to 😑😑😑 well played samsung, well played. im not doing all this. ill get a new one black friday and donate this one to a mom and pop repair shop lol since theres clearly no reward in buying an expensive brand name anymore, ill get whatever nonsense walmart practically gives away this year lol thanks for making and posting this video tho! so great for anyone with your time and patience 😂❤️

Expensive brand name? Lol All Wal-Mart tv's are garbage! especially learning about samsung, they only last 2 to 3 years. Have to pay for the Expensive ones for quality

Thank you for the info, replacing the backlight LEDs did get the screen on my Samsung TV to light up again, but sadly it now has a black line down the middle. Guess it’s just time for a new TV… 🙁
