Song is 🔥🔥🔥
how much does he charge for an EP ~6 songs as example
The thing is that I love how cohesive you mixes are but at the same time each element has its own place. A video of your philosophy when mixing would be very appreciated by myself and everybody that is subscribed to your channel.
Totally agree, I love how full and punchy your bass always is
love the camera look and smile when the plugin kicks in ... thanks for the video walkthrough! keep rocking and having fun!
Another great tutorial.
Can’t find a better way to express my gratitude to the skills and knowledge I have acquired from you so far!

Nice video i like this type of stuff a lot
Man that Violet sounds good, I'm starting my 6 month free subscription cuz of this video.... They all sound really good, I love studio rack too. It's so much easier to load preset chains then the pro tools presets and I can move all of them from one vocal track to another in one plugin.
That song sounds very good, i like ssl plugins
Track is Fire as always:))
nice video! do you have a video of the mixing aswell? sounds fire
Good mixes whaouuu love it's 💯💯💯💯

Event 2030 🙌
@@SeanDivine thank you going to see if can purchase some… thanks to you I’m purchase a UF8 and a UC1 keep it going bro!
Good djob brot
Is solid slate logic available on hp now ?
Is there a difference between doing this in waves studio rack and using patcher in FL studio? Coz all the plugins in one instance sounds great!
I’m not familiar with patcher - with StudioRack, you also have macros, parallel splits, etc. Give it a try though!
Morning Sean. New producer here. Thanks for you amazing videos and presets. I got your vocal and mastering plugin. Would you use only this ssl chain on master track or would you use one of your mastering preset + this ssl fusion preset ?
Actually, this would benefit from being followed by an Mastering Chains SR preset - you wouldn’t likely need all the processing I have setup but definitely the bus compression and the limiter can be used with the Fusion to enhance it.
Thanks Sean! For some reason, my Fusion plugins (VST3) are not showing up. The audio units version is available and I see the VST3 version in the Library Audio Plugins folder. Any idea why StudioRack is not finding them? It's not just StudioRack as Studio One also doesn't see the VST3 version.
I'd try installing the latest versions from SSL's website. Then a rescan in StudioRack should fix it!
@@SeanDivine Thanks for the reply. Figured it out - you cannot run in Silicon Native - had to switch to Rosetta for the VST3 versions to show up. Are you also running Logic in Rosetta? Hope SSL releases Silicon Native versions in the future.
Hey Sean the master sounds great! I am having troubles gettin the fusion plugins to showup in Studiorack. I bought the fusion plugins yesterday and they still won't show up but they're in the VST3 folder. Is there something im doing wrong?
What DAW are you using? Did you try rescanning in StudioRack?
@@SeanDivine Im using Pro Tools nd I tried rescanning Studiorack nd it kept saying 0 plugins scanned
@@TeezoTarantino Hmm I'm on Logic... if you re-install the latest version of the Fusion plugins from the SSL website, run your DAW in rosetta mode (if you're on Mac), then rescan... should work like you see here!
Yo Sean, do you use these SSL fusion plugins along with Ozone??
Sure do!
@SeanDivine
To be more clear... what I'm trying to say is do you use the SSL Fusion Plugins along with any processing from Ozone besides the maximizer?
Sean please can you make a video emulating ssl fusion plugins with waves plugins using waves studiorack🙏🙏🙏🙏
I can not find those speaks you have any where. The ones I did find they where jacked up.
You might check Reverb or ebay. They stopped making them a while ago.
@@SeanDivine thank you I’ll check it out
can we use waves ssl plugin to do this?
The sound is coming from the fusion plugins. Waves SSL models the channel strip and bus compressor from the console. SSL fusion is not part of their consoles. It's a separate hardware box. The fusion plugins model the functions and sound of the hardware box unit. Waves SSL models the 4000 series studio console. They are totally different products.
is there a place where i can get this preset?
I updated Mastering Chains SR and it's included :) bit.ly/mastering-chains-sr
great video & S/O to my guy Bubby i've worked with him a few times in OH, But would've been better if you used waves..some of us spent so much money on waves it's only right😅😅😅
More new Waves tutorials on the way 🙌🙏
@@SeanDivine my mane💯💯💯💯
Was this recorded with your aphex channel?
I didn't record this song - just mixing and mastering :)
i have studio rack but i cant load up different plug ins
Update to V14 from Waves Central
@@SeanDivine I did let me try again
I dig your work and knowledge. Huge learning has been done here.
Have to be honest so much of modern music really lacks soul and sounds very samey. No disrespect to you but the artist in this track sounds like a thousand others of that genre.
Here is a question : Do you ever work on projects that you don't dig?
I get that a skilled producer/engineers/ mixer can work on anything and certainly improve it but would I enjoy producing of mixing this tune? A bit fat no. There are so many good R & B and low key rappers than have blazingly good vibes nd heaven even an occasional breakout.
Guess I'm just a old boy saying get off my lawn 🤣
I can find something I dig in every session I mix and/or master. Every engineer is different in terms of what work they take on. I don't believe it's my job to necessarily judge the song in terms of my own taste. I do have to understand what the artist is trying to achieve and be excited about helping to make that happen... otherwise, I don't take on the work... and I did personally enjoy working on this one :)
No replacemnet for skill.
I wanna purchase this preset but I don’t have those plugins
Some of the native ssl plugins are my no brainers to go to though I still refrain from purchasing the fusion series. I'm sure they're good but I would rather have them in one plugin looking like the hardware and possibly with a couple extra features that are not available on the hardware. That would be a quick purchase with no hesitation.
That was overall intent of this tutorial :) We set up all the plugins laid out in 1 studiorack instance, with the macros setup to control the same parameters as the hardware. The plugins do have many extra features / advantages as well.
SSL makes great hardware, but their software is not their strong point. Hoping a 3rd party plugin developer will model their fusion box more accurately. The plugins do look very useful and sound nice but like you said in the video it sounds different from the hardware. Thanks for the demonstration of the product. The plugins do sound good still.
If you're expecting a plugin to sound exactly like analog hardware, I think that's asking for disappointment with most of them. The key for me is whether or not the plugin provides a useful alternative that achieves similar results. I believe these plugins do that very well, not to mention having some advantages and extra features over my hardware Fusion.
@@SeanDivine I agree with most of them. But some of them do get it right. Yeah, if it works, then why not use it? A lot of people think the CLA 76 sounds nothing like a true 1176, but it still gives a nice character to vocals that might be preferable to a hardware 1176. I can see the fusion plugins doing something similar.
Agreed. CLA76 is a great example. A lot of commentary and comparison to the hardware… at the end of the day, it just sounds good and works in about every mix!
@@SeanDivine amen to that! 💯💯💯
The drive kill bass like crazy .... way more than the HW don't knbow why SSL doesn't fixe that !!
Under than that everything here can be achieved with something else .... BUT and it's the key .... those modules ares so well thinked and set up by SSL that they lead even a pada one in safe moves , hard to f...up a mix unless you push the HF to much imho , the rest is great ....
Nice trick for the chain !! Nice video !
Man! I wished that I could afford the real ssl fusion hardware, it sounds a million times better than the plugin. Oh, well.
Analog Gear..and Nebula Plugins...blow that away...but at least your using the Waves Rack to make them sound better.....
the SSL Plugins sound reall smeary and digital....and flat
