@@kindbud Hell yeah, do it up man! I've had used cars all my life and this is the best new option for a car guy for the price imo. This year they made the gear ratios faster too. All you need is Ktuner plus TSP tune and PRLs Cobra intake with the street maf. At that point you're already pushing 235whp/290trq weighing 2800 lbs. It's a nasty set up to start with. I know cause my buddy has a 2018 with that setup lol he's pulling on WRXs no problem

@@abrahamduartejr2895 I appreciate it. But honestly, there's so much more to know for me. It takes years to understand engines and transmissions inside and out fully. Unless you work on them constantly, it really comes down to reading info and watching videos. Start slow and learn the basics. Once you learn how a car operates and know the parts and what they do, then you can get into more complicated stuff like tuning and modifications. My suggestion is learn everything there is to know about your car and where everything is located. Honestly, once you master that then you can pop the hood of any car and be like oh there's the intake manifold, there's the fuel pump, there's the exhaust header, there's the ignition coils, so on and so on. My point is just learn something new every day. Only way to understand these puzzles called cars. Also recommend forums also. A lot of info and community conversations. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. We all started somewhere and ppl are willing to help.

It's crazy you mention a rock hitting your car, as one the size of a tennis ball came rolling in front my car just yesterday. Luckily it didn't do any damage as it bounced off my tire lol, but man I got worried for a second that it would break something. Not to mention a small stone cracked my fog light glass on the passenger side now I have to replace it smh. These Toronto roads I tell yuh...

Damn that’s extremely low! It really depends on your goals, but for a street car all the bolts ons (I/h/e/fp). Good street tune and a set of coils. Plenty of fun to drive on the regular

Hey so with hondata do they send you costume tunes for your mods?? Or do they just provide basemap tunes like street/race/economy ? Or do you have to go get a costume tune from a tuner for your mods ??
They only provide a few basemaps with certain mods! But you have to go to a tuner for a custom tune for your specific mods

Simple bolt ons k&n intake, throttle body spacer, skunk2 header, invidia catback, and hondata custom tune

I believe there is a special feature with hondata that allows you to view your air/fuel ratio on the tachometer with the press of a button on the steering wheel.
Nice car man I respect honda/Acura alot more since I got my tsx for such a small engine they pack a punch my tsx has full exhaust mufflers a cai and Hondata and people cant believe it's a 2.4 L 4 cylinder

What motor mount and gaskets do you need to get when you get the header?
You’ll need a rear motor mount, I went with hasport 70a and you’ll need a new oem donut gasket. Either from an ep3 or s2k

Depends on your setup, im on full skunk2 setup (header, exhaust, intake) cost me roughly $1,300, got it street tuned for $300 from e-tunez.

Last "real" VTEC equiped dohc Honda ever made in my opinion , car sounds amazing. If you haven't already done so you should experiment with raising your crossover point up alot higher than what did you say 4000rpms? To an extent the higher the cross over point the more high end HP you'll make usually , which is in these cars where it really counts, try set VTEC to 6700-6800 then test drive it and come back tell us what ya think . My bro picked up an 08 SI sedan 2 1/2 years ago and he's got every bolt on you can do , this summer we are doing cams , valve springs and retainers then getting it retuned, have fallen in love with the 8th gens SI sedans through riding in and working on my lil bros car , I'm older so used to the older classic hondas and respectively had a pretty wicked b18 swapped 91 Crx from 03-2011 , I'll never stop missing the shit outta that car , it.literally became part of me and I became part of it, a piece of my soul truly was lost I believe when I sold that CRX.
Yessir I agree with you! Last real vtec experience, never got to play around with the older Honda B series. I know those were really cool with the way vtec hit and the crossover. At the time, my tune had the lower vtec set at 4000rpm and then the higher vtec at around 6000rpm so you essentially get both with these cars. The early one helps you get to the actual vtec point lol. Can’t imagine what these cars are like with a built head and new cams. Must pull real nice and be a joy to drive for real 💪🏾

Probably mid 5s with boltons and tune and a 13 to 14 second quarter, supercharged hits low 4s and 11 or 12 quarter, its traction thats the issue with FWD the power is there
