A year ago I really liked this guy so I drew pictures of us kissing (get your mind out the gutter it was just kissing) and my dad found it and he just asked if I drew it and when I awkwardly said yes he just laughed and said “it’s actually a really good drawing” so I’m glad he didn’t get mad (I was 13 at the time so I thought he might get mad)
I would do the same if I was in a parents shoes in that situation. I rather laugh it off so the child can know it’s normal and a part of life no big deal. Unlike the family I grew up with that made a huge deal about things like that
I'm 12, last year I was at one of my siblings' houses for something, i don't remember what, I brought a sketchbook to draw in when I was bored (it didn't have much in it but I don't like ppl looking at my drawings unless its my friends or I share it on my channel) my mom went through it, there was nothing bad in it, but again, I don't like ppl (especially my family) looking at my drawings. so I, of course, didn't want her looking through it, especially when she didn't have a reason to. my sister was defending me. (guess who's my favorite sibling btw /hj) and my mom said to her "SHES 11, SHE DOESN'T GET PRIVACY." and that's stuck with me since then. I have a decent family, it's just that I feel like my mom doesn't respect my privacy. (probably because she doesn't) (sorry for venting btw idk how it came to this yall 😔)
every person deserves privacy, and if you arent getting that privacy you deserve say something about it. from what you said, it seems your parents wouldn't flip out if you wanted to sit down and have a conversation about what you want. remind them that you're a human being too, and that you should get that privacy you need. no parent should be allowed to go through their kid's diaries, or sketchbooks without permission. obviously, it's a different case when your child is showing signs of depression and suicide, but you get my point. i hope you can get your mom to understand!

You don't draw naked people in art uni classes? We draw a lot and on big size of paper. So, the naked body is a normal topic for artists, but .... if you make it spicy, it starts to be for adults.

If you also don't wanna do that then hide your sketchbook under your mattress. I raised four kids and have two grandkids. I wouldn’t say anything if my kids had drawn nudes. I didn’t say anything when I found their “corn” either. I don’t think shaming someone for natural curiosity does anything but possibly making negative consequences. However, discussing where and when things are okay or not would be a better approach. Also finding a much better hiding place for sure,lol. Their aunt would flip if she found it and she did. On my son but I checked that crap pretty darn quick.

I live alone with my mom, and she's really open about this stuff and would be very supportive if I told her about it.. Just to be clear, my mom isn't like the birch described in this video.

I was scared I thought she was going to beat me with a sandal or a belt/ wooden spoon but she just laughed it off my dad wasn’t too happy about me drawing that stuff though .

A year ago I really liked this guy so I drew pictures of us kissing (get your mind out the gutter it was just kissing) and my dad found it and he just asked if I drew it and when I awkwardly said yes he just laughed and said “it’s actually a really good drawing” so I’m glad he didn’t get mad (I was 13 at the time so I thought he might get mad)

I would do the same if I was in a parents shoes in that situation. I rather laugh it off so the child can know it’s normal and a part of life no big deal. Unlike the family I grew up with that made a huge deal about things like that

I'm 12, last year I was at one of my siblings' houses for something, i don't remember what, I brought a sketchbook to draw in when I was bored (it didn't have much in it but I don't like ppl looking at my drawings unless its my friends or I share it on my channel) my mom went through it, there was nothing bad in it, but again, I don't like ppl (especially my family) looking at my drawings. so I, of course, didn't want her looking through it, especially when she didn't have a reason to. my sister was defending me. (guess who's my favorite sibling btw /hj) and my mom said to her "SHES 11, SHE DOESN'T GET PRIVACY." and that's stuck with me since then. I have a decent family, it's just that I feel like my mom doesn't respect my privacy. (probably because she doesn't)

every person deserves privacy, and if you arent getting that privacy you deserve say something about it. from what you said, it seems your parents wouldn't flip out if you wanted to sit down and have a conversation about what you want. remind them that you're a human being too, and that you should get that privacy you need. no parent should be allowed to go through their kid's diaries, or sketchbooks without permission. obviously, it's a different case when your child is showing signs of depression and suicide, but you get my point. i hope you can get your mom to understand!

Not really. To an extent. Do any of you have experience being an adult or having kids ? Kids get privacy but to a certain extent or parents wouldn’t know what demented things they’re up to to properly teach them what is and isn’t ok to think or do.

You don't draw naked people in art uni classes? We draw a lot and on big size of paper. So, the naked body is a normal topic for artists, but .... if you make it spicy, it starts to be for adults.

I drew the last one on my schoolbook so I'm cooked :D I mean bro draw it in pencil whenever you do so you could just erase it. If you don't want to rip the paper that has it and hide it somewhere. If you also don't wanna do that then hide your sketchbook under your mattress. Trust me I have religious af parents (I'm religious too so I don't draw r34 much, mostly suggestive but when I do it's digital) and they like they get REALLY mad when I draw gore or any of that so I just hide the sketchbook under the mattress. I raised four kids and have two grandkids. I wouldn’t say anything if my kids had drawn nudes. I didn’t say anything when I found their “corn” either. I don’t think shaming someone for natural curiosity does anything but possibly making negative consequences. However, discussing where and when things are okay or not would be a better approach. Also finding a much better hiding place for sure,lol. Their aunt would flip if she found it and she did. On my son but I checked that crap pretty darn quick.

my parents never really looked at my sketchbook before, but two of my guy classmates straight up STOLE IT from me once… and then looked thru the ENTIRE thing. (and then gave it back, luckily.) its not like it was *that* bad ‘cause i was always afraid to draw nsfw in my sketchbook, but there were still some guys kissing in there so uhm😊…

Edit: This is only because I personally feel embarrassed that it's something I like to read. I live alone with my mom, and she's really open about this stuff and would be very supportive if I told her about it.. Just to be clear, my mom isn't like the birch described in this video.

With me I make nsfw art work than I sell it through I started drawing dirty stuff when I was 13 I was very hormonal and manhood was just beginning for me and plus at the time I was insecure my sexuality ( I’m gay ) and was ashamed of it and so I used to draw very explicit art work of baras ( The manga/anime version of a gay bear) and let me tell you homeboy did not hold back I even drew kinky stuff my mom found it by accident once and I thought she was going to be mad at me but she just giggled when she saw it and gave me the birds and the bees talk but she said she doesn’t have a problem with me drawing that stuff because it’s commonly for people at that age to be curious about that stuff and that’s the age where puberty really starts to kick in so she understood why I was drawing that stuff. I was scared I thought she was going to beat me with a sandal or a belt/ wooden spoon but she just laughed it off my dad wasn’t too happy about me drawing that stuff though .
a couple years ago my mom found a kinda spicy like not so bad just a full body nude woman drawing and i freaked out so much i hid in the pantry. she actually didnt think it was as bad as i was making it, and she even said that i did the anatomy very well for my age. apparently she wasnt the only one who thought that because months earlier, my *6 YEAR OLD SISTER* FOUND MY DRAWING MONTHS EARLIER AND DREW SPICY PAGES JUST LIKE MINE.
