sometimes you can find surprisingly good items for cheap! the purple pen is such a pretty colour 🥰

The dollar general in my town has this whole thing in the craft/stationery section of markers and pens singularly sold for a dollar and they're very good quality, plus dollar tree has a lot of good things. It's crazy how cheap art supplies could be and such a good quality too! ♡

Actually, having expensive materials is not that important. Important is the painter who uses that pencil.

I honestly got just like 5 or 10 dollar markers (I’m Aussie prices are higher here so they would prob be atleast 6-8 dollars with Americans??) and they blend so well!! Like they legit just feel amazing I have adhd and I am such a texture and feel person and they are just perfect for me they were pretty cheap marker wise so hooray!!

Yes!! I haven't gone to Oomomo since just before the pandemic escalated. I went back recently and there's so many more options for stationary and art supplies 😊 I was so ecstatic to see some brands I missed out on during my Japan trip!
Some context for the one I used to go to at Aberdeen Centre.. it used to be Daiso for as long as I remember, but then they all cut ties with Daiso (even the Yokoyaya downtown) and rebranded in 2019, so I got some whiplash thinking they were gone forever. Daiso is back in town now since 2021 😆 I'm just happy to have more options and different locations to go to.
cut ties with daiso??? oooo scandalous 🫣 jokes aside im rly happy with oomomo though, feels like daiso doesnt have as much stationary options, though oomomo is def pricier for some items the quality is def up there 👌

My country has an economic crisis so even 10 dollar is worth so much here, but i wanted artist stuff too so here's what you can get if you live in a country like me
-Talens Art Creation Sketchbook, believe me these are the best cheap sketchbooks
-Mechanical Pencils, they help so much I honestly prefer them over normal pencils
-Some random pens for inking, you can find them everywhere and believe me they help much, if you have the opportunity buy the ones that dont react(?) to water i recommend them
-Simple guache and watercolor kit, these are(usually?) cheap and easy to use once you get into it
Note: This is kinda my opinion but if you use stickers, random papers in your sketchbook it kinda gets you more motivation so you can use them too if you have : D

I don’t know if you have miniso there, but if you do PLEASE GO THERE! IT’S SO CHEAP!! I GOT 6-10 PENS FOR 2 DOLLARS (from promotion that time). Even without promotion a three pen pack was 1-2 dollars. :0 (Not just stationary but everything there is cheap) 😍
