- Did the Phillies Make a MISTAKE With Taijuan Walker?
Since Taijuan Walker has been moved back into the rotation, he has struggled for the Phillies. After putting him back, Spencer Turnbull was taken out of the rotation, losing his groove he had to start the season. Was moving Taijaun Walker to the rotation and taking Spencer Turnbull out a mistake by the Phillies?

Walker shouldn't be a Starter...period 👍
I agree. Turnbull should be the 5 starter
This channel is so good
Thank you man I appreciate the support!!
Our wish has temporarily came true! We shall see what management ends up doing with walker. Hopefully trade
I’m hoping they can get rid of him. Tired of seeing him pitch
Yeah..he is not good at all. After he cried about not pitching in the playoffs last year, you would have thought he would come in and pitch with a chip on his shoulder...but nope..he flat out stinks
Exactly. I thought he would have a good season because of not pitching last playoffs. He just thinks he belongs here when he hasn’t earned it
Seriously, how many starts do you need to see to consider that demotion? Why didn't they have Walker rejoin the team as a long reliever, and leave Turnbull in? Sure, it's entirely possible his sub-2.00 ERA may not have lasted through September, but he was putting up numbers leagues better than Walker.
One fear I have is that they won't take Walker out of the rotation at all (as you said, he isn't even competent as a fifth starter rn). A greater fear I have is that Turnbull would be out of sorts if he were to be allowed to start in Walker's place, due to the aforementioned disruption of his rhythm!
Yeah that’s why I never wanted Turnbull out in the first place. They just ripped him out of his rhythm. Putting him back might mess him up. But anything is better than Walker.
It won’t change unless he is traded
Nobody wants this guy too so we’re kinda stuck. I’d rather DFA him and eat his salary than to watch him give up at least four runs a game
I think the front office is pushing more for Taijuan to start due to the hefty contract. It looks better if we keep him in the rotation when we go to trade him rather than putting him in the bullpen and barely using him. It’s sucks and I don’t agree with it but I feel like that’s what is going on here
I certainly hope they trade him.
Oh man they made a huge mistake. Before Turnbull got hurt the fans would chant “WE WANT TURNBULL!” While walker was pitching. Walker sucks.
Well we put Turnbull in the rotation and he immediately showed why he had that limit… hopefully the hometown kid Phillips can replace his production for a bit
He only got hurt because they shoved him back in randomly. He was in a groove until they ripped him out. It was a bad move
He lost the last few including tonight against the dbacks
Walker lost the game tonight against St.Louis, get the guy out of the organization, he’s not a winning pitcher
Anytime he is on the mound it gives the team a disadvantage
@@StickyChris If he didn’t give up two 2 run homers the Phillies easily sweep St. Louis, 72 mill for a losing pitcher? I blame the manager and organization
Is he a goof?
