On Alec Bohm.......he has never performed well in the playoffs. He's also another hitter who isn't the most patient at the plate. I'm not advocating for either side of the Bohm argument, but I think those factors deserved more acknowledgement here. On Rooker......he appears to be a DH primarily. Not sure him and Schwarber on the same roster works. Really good video overall though.

I wouldn’t blame Kevin Long for Turner at all. He might just be an aging player who isn’t as good as he used to be. Same with JT. He’s a 33 year old catcher who was overused the last few years. That was gonna eventually catch up to him. Schwarber has had some of the best seasons of his career as a Phillie. Castellanos was never a serious MVP candidate, let alone a perennial MVP candidate. He was always a streaky hitter and got paid after a career year. Maybe you could give him some blame for Stott’s lack of development but I’m not blaming him for the veteran players not performing. They’re established guys making a lot of money who do things a certain way, and a hitting coach isn’t making much of a difference there. The bigger issue with the team is roster construction.

The Bohm hate is hysterical, he’s cheap and under control. He went to the All Star Game. $$$ The Kevin Long diatribe has no basis in fact. Why do you hate platooning? Every team left in the playoffs does it. Rooker is a K machine, Profar is the guy, decent pop, low chase rate, walks alot, he’s your lead off guy.

This is a bit of a weird trade, but I wouldn't mind Sal Frelick. He hits for contact, he doesn't strike out too much, he is fast, and he is a good fielder. He also isn't someone who you could be afraid to move on from if Crawford get called up.

I’m only 6:38 through the video and I have disagreed with about everything you have said. How do you know this is Kevin longs doing? What’s the proof that he is telling these guys to hit a homer every time. There is absolutely no proof. On top of that saying you would rather have Estevez over Hoffman is crazy and saying Estevez was put in bad positions in the playoffs is wrong it’s literally the other way around. Hoffman was left in when struggling in his second inning of relief in Game 4 which led to Lindor homer is Thomson got him out sooner that may have never happened.

The Phillies offense can’t hit any other pitches than fastballs, teams immediately figured this out and they got the least amount of fastballs thrown to them in the second half. This is why they lost so much in the second half. This is why, if we don’t land Juan Soto, I’m very disappointed with us bringing Kevin Long back. Also, the Phillies minor league system for hitters is still bad, every great team has that spark from their minor league system at some point in the season, the Phillies had basically no contribution from their minor league system in 2024, and that is cause for concern moving forward. They need to be really careful with Miller and Crawford and not ruin their approaches like they did for Stott.

I would have Rojas # 1, Stott #2, Turner #3, Harper #4. Schwarber #5, Realmuto #6, Bohm #7, Marsh #8. Need to move on from Castellanos. Harper needs protection at 4. Like Werth did for Howard. Turner can be the Utley at #3. Need speed at the top of the order. Yes, this is Harper's team. He is not in the Justice or Ohtani. Why can't Turner give us 20/20. Speed kills.

I don't think any major changes need to be made. They just need to perform when it counts.
