How do you get the edges of your initial cube to have that frosted look? Is it some sort of extra shading option? It looks very nice and I would much prefer staring at an appealing look like rather than just some flat grey faces when I work. It didn't even occur to me when I wrote this, but I suppose I should ask if it is just a default thing in Blender 2.93.
In the top right of the viewport, where wireframe and solid view are, there is a dropdown. I have cavity set to "both". It makes seeing depth a lot easier for me. docs.blender.org/manual/en/2.93/render/workbench/options.html
@@JoeyCarlino 25:03 "Making eyebrows... I'll just select the feet again (in object mode), duplicate it, back in edit mode, and then delete everything, add in a plane with shift-A..." Still doesn'n make any sense to me. What do you gain by creating a new object and then delete it in edit mode?
It saved me time by not having to add the same modifiers that were already attached to the feet. I didn't have to delete all of the faces, I could've kept one and reused it for the eyebrows, but it's usually just quicker for me to delete everything and add a new primitive compared to deciding which face to keep. You can make a new object too, it's just a different approach.
ugh...should've done that for my scarf...I did plane and yes you can do that but that's the longer way lol. But it's just hard when yo have a character with arms :/

Thank you! I suppose it's about time I update Blender, since I apparently still use 2.79, haha.
Very nice! Can you edit the textures of different parts when you do the colors that way?
If you want more than just a color change, you'll need to make a new material
Nice
Awesome tutorial! Are you editing your videos in Blender too?
No, I'm using Davinci Resolve. It's also free!
hi, very good work. Can you add a link of reference images please? Thanks
Good stuff!
But why would you duplicate the feet and then delete everything in edit mode? Instead of just creating a new geometry?
I'm not sure what you mean. I created new geometry for the feet

@@JoeyCarlino Aaah, ok. The modifiers. That makes sense.😊

i have clipping on it still shows line between them in face what should i do?? plz help
thanks for this
There might be a hidden face in the middle that you need to delete. I show that during the nose modeling.
How do you get the selection cage around the cube when your putting in the loop cut? Mine is just the outline of the cube.
If you're talking about edit mode, you can select your object and hit tab
Please make a video of rigging............... i'll be wait for this..
I am here
