Hey Joey, what program do you use to edit your videos? I'm curious because It's always top notch. Do you have any tutorial suggestions on how to get proficient with editing?
You're the real Blender guru! Honestly, I would've probably quit using Blender by now if it weren't for your videos. You explain everything so clearly and with a nice sense of humor. Thank you so much! P.S. Christopher's tip is spot on
everybody wake up, new joey carlino vid just dropped edit: I've been needing tip 11 for so long now, every time I tried googling it I couldn't find it 😭thank youuu im saving this video to my assets and inspirations playlist in case i need your wisdom at a later date 🙏
For tip 11, you really should use the new menu switch. It actually lets you implement a drop down menu in the geo nodes interface where you label each option - no more having to violently scrub through a number index without knowing the options! Literally my favorite addition to blender 4.1. Makes my job 1 billion times easier
True, that's better when you have a limited set of objects and you want them labeled. The method I show is more dynamic because you can use a whole collection but without labels.
In general, I've already heard some of these, but a majority of tips are difficult to grasp at once. Might need some practice. But this is a very interesting and high-quality video, my respect.
19:26 stretchy bones: you can also simply add the bone constraint "maintain volume" to the part you want to be stretchable. This will affect the children of that bone as well, but this can be changed by going into child bone's settings, under relations, change "inherit scale" to "average" or "none"
If your Blender project crashes and you haven't saved in a while you can check in your temp folder for one of the autosaves. %temp% in the search bar on windows will navigate you to there.
Thank you so much Joey. You know most people would be judgemental and wouldn't actually help me get my parents back but you actually tried to help me and gave me some good tips. Good on you.
11:39 Personally I prefer to change the Noise Texture from 3D to 4D then using the W slider sort of like a seed. It absolutely 100% is NOT a seed, but it works wonders for creating more randomization when using noise textures that have similar settings.
My father seems to be still alive, but we haven't had any contact for about 25 years and so we are both more or less dead for each other. He is a selfish jerk, but I don't care any more.
Hey, just wanna say that your multible character modeling tutorials helped me so much with learning how to make my own. Ive been trying to make stuff with blender for years but kept giving up, untill recently. This video too has a lot of handy tips. Thanks a ton!
love this video! the added sfx when clicking buttons or dragging sliders makes me mad that we don't get these things in most computer software nowadays
My parents know how much I go to therapy about Blender! How could they!? (Comedic, but blender is actively something I commenly talk about in therapy, because of the panic attacks and perfectionism issues, and the fear it gives me)
Joey thanku for making videos u help me lot in blender me has a beginner I thought I can't keep it up until I meet u now I see I am progressing day by day cause of u thanku so much buddy 😊
Ok so uh I have a complaint, I showed my parents what I have done in blender on a video call using this tutorial… and they told me to get a real job :(
Pfft I've had several startup files over the years. I always leave the default cube there, so I get to delete it. Best part of any project if you ask me lol
Finally! A chance for me to win them back, it's been 10 years since they don't speak to me, after that terrible day when I didn't know how to delete the default cube :')
Thanks for tip 17, with an Azerty keyboard, sometime you completely miss keybinds that qwerty users may stumble upon naturally, I promptly remapped this shortcut.
At 11:00, "adding a noise to drive the color ramp" sounds like a pretty convoluted way to word things, probably due to the order in which this node tree is built. and at 11:42 you could also spare yourself the hassle and change the "W" param after making the noise 4D.
I've watched probably 200+ Blender tutorial vids. This might be the greatest of them all. Do you have any tips on how to get as tall of a truck as yours? My feet aren't quite 3 inches so I hopefully qualify for the extra big lifted version but i just don't know how
holy hell nobonoko is now in blender. great video! very funny! also my mom has had several knee surgeries before this… wtf… stop referencing my mom’s life…
hey Joey! Could you make a tutorial on how to rig a model for VRM or VTuber streaming? I’ve got a character ready in Blender, but I’m not sure what steps come next to get it working in a live stream. Any advice or a step-by-step guide would be awesome! Thanks!
Instructions unclear. Now I have to pay on my own. - Thank you very much for all these tips and tricks, explained in an understandable way! Have a great day, Sir!
Ngl this video is gon halp so much in the future, but I got a question. Y'a got any tips for universal mouth rotation/movement?? I want my 3D character's mouths to move around like a 2D character
HOLY FUCK this video is massively good Thank you Joey for all the immense effort and all the content you put out It has helped me tremendously All the best wishes to you P. S. I love you just like your parents
"we both know you're not a beginner" Me: (who just spent an hour trying to figure out how to properly render an animation because the video it gave me was less than a second)
8:23 Smooth to surface... I don't want to swear in my comment, but I am quite tempted to swear because I think I've probably lost a thousand hours to modeling and trying to work around smoothing that makes limbs into noodles.

@Guneal thanks, I use davinci resolve. Casey Farris and Mr Alex tech have good videos
I will NEVER stop deleting the default cube.
I want to inflict as much pain as possible on it
It's tradition!
totally agree
it's tradition at this point
I some times just open Blender just t delete the default cube and then close it!
My parents already love me, but now they love me even more! Thank you Joey Carlino.
Maybe I’ll finally be invited back to thanksgiving dinner now!
Thanks for the great tips, the colorful view for mesh is something i never saw, and eventually found by clicking randomly in blender xd
Thanks for having me ❤️❤️❤️ ! I hope my advice will be helpful and lead to someone leading them to eventually sweeping the Oscars and then EGOTing

Fixing my familial ties with this one 🔥

ı watched it but my parents said that they still hate me. clickbait.
idc, i'm watching it anyway.
It's not about watching, you have to apply the tips
Are you ok bro?
you need to make something, sell it, make money, then your parents will be happy
Sad but does it work for wives though?
Truly different and quite refreshing, I watch Blender tutorials all day, this one was fun.
you can use alt-mmb to select around which point in your scene your camera orbits. i use this instead of the auto depth or orbit settings
In general, I've already heard some of these, but a majority of tips are difficult to grasp at once. Might need some practice.

nice one, this saved me a bunch of times
I would still use autosaves if they didn't eat up my storage space ;(

as someone who doesn't have a computer i found this really useful and helpful
That was an awesome video, the tips were nice, and once again, the sound design is immaculate as always.
I’ve endured endless top blender tips videos. This is #1 at light speed, and I’m only halfway through so far.
8:16 is so good for topology
love this video! the added sfx when clicking buttons or dragging sliders makes me mad that we don't get these things in most computer software nowadays
omg I ALWAYS forget "alt" is a key. And tip 12 would've made my sleep apnea toddler much more appealing 😩 Thank you, Joey and Friends 🙏
My parents know how much I go to therapy about Blender! How could they!?

"Joey Carlino without eye glasses can't hurt you, he's not real"

Ngl this video is gon halp so much in the future, but I got a question. Y'a got any tips for universal mouth rotation/movement?? I want my 3D character's mouths to move around like a 2D character
