Our choir is singing this beautiful song Saturday for the celebration of the life of a long term, beloved choir member. It is so easy to tear up when singing it. It also reminds me of a beautiful song based upon the lyrics of a Tennyson Poem Ask not no more.
I had to perform this piece with a choir at a funeral for one of our peers that died in a car crash and it was one of the saddest yet happy things I've ever had to do in my entire life
Yesterday, Sunday 7 January 2024 our choir, Hosana Chorale, sang this song too , "O Love", in HKBP (The Bataknese church) Tebet, Jakarta, Indonesia. Praise to the Lord we could sing this song. ❤❤
Just as beautifully sung and recorded as written. A rare gem. The recording would however benefit from cutting off the muted and odd-sounding applause at the end.
Our tiny church choir of 13 did this last Sunday. It meant so much to each of us. My ear/mind hears this piece, though, just the way this performance went. Kudos to the combined groups, the accompanist, and the wonderful conductor! 'll be listening to this particular recording often. THANK YOU!
Years ago our small choir sang it for the first time and a few months later at my son's memorial service. Both times the fullness of sound of our few voices makes me believe that the Heavenly Choir was present and joining us in praise!
Always sad to see empty seats in the audience when the music is so gorgeous.
Beautiful, choir !! If you're not moved by that final chord, you're not living.

Breath taking with stunning intonation and articulation...
The purity of the tone allows the diction to shine through. Exquisite.

Love this hymnal, beautiful awesome message, thank you choir, for sharing the music.
Elaine Hagenbergs re-issue of a favorite hymn. The melody is lovely. A pleasure to the ear.

Horas Amang Saya Richard Siahaan Dari Choir HKBP Slipi
Bolehkah Saya Membeli Partitur Lagu ini 😊
That is the most incredible version of O Love that I have ever heard.
Flawless, gorgeous, inspiring indeed. All the more so if you can appreciate the personal circumstances in Matheson's life when he wrote the words.
Flawless. Gorgeous. Inspiring. (NYC professional choral conductor/composer here).

Same for me. Our choir sang it this morning, and I had a struggle to sing my baritone part through the tears. Sacred feelings!

Very good, working on this at the moment.
Can you stretch out how far away each bulb is from another?
are they on spotify?
No, I don't believe this is on spotify. This is the only place you will see this performance. These two groups had only performed together twice.
