An absolutely stunning performance, with the glorious Nidaros Cathedral with its fantastic pipe organ for a backdrop. Kudos to everyone involved. Gjeilo's compositions are among the best being written today, and these performers do his work tremendous justice!

Absolutely amazing performance, alrhough rhere was an annoying distraction .... Luke static. It did interfere with the clarity and being able to hear the singing in the forefront and ocheatra in the background.

Where's the piano (I think I hear a piano playing along at certain moments) situated?
It is to the left of the orchestra, you can see it at about 4.48 - the back part of a grand piano. And right after you can hear it play.

Why on earth is the orchestra playing so loudly throughout the piece?? The girls’ voices are lovely and positively drowned under that unrelentingly noisy orchestra. Why???
Yeah I'd vote for an acappella version
Perhaps it's the video audio, and was more balanced in real time.
I agree, though; at least in the video they are drowned out.
