Regarding the dialogue changes: there is now a mod that restores the old script in the latest Steam and GOG versions of Sisters VS Sisters. For anyone reading this who wonders if this can be done for the console versions the answer is no. Consoles and their software are way too locked down to allow for modifications like this so unless you have a physical PS4/PS5 copy with the 1.0 version of SvS you're out of luck on a console. Now all we need on PC are the playable Maho and Anri. Though I think it would be cool if we got an option for the victory scenes even if they aren't needed on PC.
"For anyone wondering if this can be done for the console versions the answer is no" The fuck are you talking about? Do children these days seriously not know about hacking?
@@JohnDoe-kh3ti What you're suggesting isn't even remotely comparable to installing that mod for two reasons: 1. the technical expertise required for installing the mod on PC is very low. 2. While Idea Factory may not have a proper modding policy they seem to not care as long as you aren't profiting from it (they took no action against mods in the past) By comparison what you're suggesting not only requires a higher level of technical expertise but it would also go against rules of either of the two console platforms that the game is available on.
Unless I'm mistaken the swimsuits are available in the PC and PS4/PS5 versions if you get the Digital Deluxe version and only the playable Maho and Anri characters are exclusive to the Switch version.
the big problem is how restrictive it feels, the AP dampers the combat forcing you to switch to another character midcombo or run till it refills, you can't instantly switch between Attacking and Defending meaning you have to commit to one and hope you stop the enemy if attacking or block it completely or sidestep it, you can only use items when your Special Meter is filled so again it's either Special Attack or item, and is it just me, or does the buttons tend to go haywire either going a different direction or instantly accepting on the menu, otherwise, good ideas, just not good execution that needs more work
Playing in japanese and main quest dialogue is voiced 100%, side mission cutscenes arent sadly, but its not a big deal, dont know how much less english dub has
Looks and plays well enough on Switch so going with this platform due to Maho and Anri. Still would prefer if PS5 got an update with these characters and swimsuits and play it on PS5
I really love Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters and I''m going to buy it for Switch too. I want to support the game and the battle system. I'm absolutely sure it has huge potential to be a leading franchise with this unique battle system. It can be a milestone. It just needs more experiences, more developement and so on. About censorship: Its ERSB fault. Not Idea factory or Compile Heart. Be thankful to the EU the grand master of censor ship.
Not only are Rom and Ram basically Fuwawa and Mococo, they even got their personalities kinda right. There is a pretty big difference between Rom and Fuwawa though...
I forgot where i heard or read this, but it sounds like late Switch versions of many games usually need to have some type of additional exclusive content, even if it's a nothing burger like just 1 costume recolor. Sometimes devs will go the extra mile, but in this game's case its full on characters.
I don’t have a switch so I hardly check out reviews for it but the inclusion of the maho and anri caught my eye, does maho have a goddess form? This comment is pretty late so you might not ever see it but it’s all good.
The SVS developers played Neptune Quest, and it was INCREDIBLY obvious when I played SVS. Planeptune's building designs got ripped, they ripped rooms and floors from the Poseidon City basilicom, and even turned the basilicom library into a cutscene backdrop. I was nearly crying of joy when I saw how much they must have loved it. And now I can't wait to see any Lowee maps they create, because I was LEGIT proud of Opal City's design.
And then there's me, I kind of have to play the Switch version cuz a PS5 and a good PC is too expensive for me at the moment. Also am I the only person who finds the extra movement in the text cutscenes to feel a bit uncanny? IDK going off of the Rebirth series and VII, (as well as a bunch of other anime games outside of neptunia) seeing Vert move her hands like she did in one of the first cutscenes weirded me out for a second since I normally expect either PNGs with lip flap movement being the most you get for movement or full 3D models if they are moving a bunch. I know that it's a me thing but still, I kind of prefer the style of the older games TBH.
It's likely due to how the Switch processing becomes strained while in handheld mode. Notably, the resolution of games becomes capped at 720p and the GPU becomes underclocked in order to save on battery life. Because of this, many games are developed to adjust their performance accordingly depending on whether you're playing in docked or handheld as to provide a smooth gaming experience in the latter without sacrifices to the former. With that in mind, it's likely that the draw distance is limited in handheld as to account for the reduction in console processing.
@@vysethegallant638 That would make sense if the camera was capped to how far you pull out in handheld, but what doesn't make sense is locking it from zooming in very close to the character, wouldn't that help performance and not decrease it?
@@Darksider087 In the video, YSN noted how the character textures and shaders weren't the best. Assuming that the review was done in docked mode, I'd bet that the models are of lower quality in handheld. In that case, I could see the developers putting a cap in how close the camera could zoom to prevent those flaws from being too apparent. But that's just my guess. I'd have to personally see just how different the character rendering is between both docked and undocked.
@@vysethegallant638 Thats the funny thing as well, if you force the camera in close the models still look great, even in photo mode. And thanks for these explanations.
I’d imagine the transitional thing with SvS and GameMaker Revolution might be due to the loading times on the Switch compared to PS5 or even PC. Loading times were pretty quick on PC (at least on an NVME). That said, it’s a shame that the other versions aren’t getting Maho and Anri as paid DLC. Gamemaker Revolution and most of their recently announced games don’t even have confirmed PC releases yet. And their whole thing about refusing to bring games stateside if they had to change things has aged like milk considering since NxSK they have a new “global standards” policy in place. I doubt the DER;Q games are going to make it through those policies unphased.
I had no idea about the swimsuit DLC being locked behind the digital deluxe version only (and not available physically). That is such a bullshit thing to do to Neptunia fans, and I'm honestly reconsidering getting the game at all.
Hmm complaining about the switch version in technicals no one actually cares about vs Sony that likely has most things censored.... Yeah I'm gonna f it and play on the switch.

I think the story is good, but this is hands down the worst neptunia game I have played. I wish they would either go back to the awesome turn based combat from the rebirth games or use an action combat system similiar to what Neptunia x Senran Kagura uses. This battle system is the worst of both worlds. It becomes tolerable but it just isn't good. Also, I thought it was cool getting to explore Planeptune but its just a big empty space and feels more like padding. I don't understand how this game is getting so many good reviews. Nepgear is actually my favorite character in the franchise and I feel like she deserves so much better than this.
The battle system is absolutely unique and of course its improveable. But I think if its perfect balanced with a fad battle it has potential extremly good. I like the combat system because Neptunia is completely different and stands out from other games. Turn-based etc. are already familiar from other games.
