@0:42 can someone guide me to that quote? I feel bhai Jargraj might have mistakenly (he probably meant to say something else but with English-speaking audience it came out like that) said guru nanak go baptized by god, this type of mistake can encourage Christians or muslims to poke at this statement. (We have to be carefull at how we present bani because predatory religious leaders are listening to convert people)
@@founderofself that's different, they don't know but those who know well about Sikhi and choose not to take Amrit are clearly not taking Sikhi seriously. It doesn't mean you're a bad person or will go to hell just that our Sikhi isn't a game, nor our Guru a toy which you can pick up play with when you like it which most non-amritdhari people do, worried about what other people will think. Plus, not every person can become an Amritdhari, Sikhi isn't that easy. It's everyone's choice though but Maharaj himself blesses a few who do take Amrit and sincerely follow Sikhi. It's truly a blessing.
@@founderofself Guru Granth Sahib Ji mentions of Amrit many time, the ceremony or initiation itself isn't mentioned as it has changed but I can find plenty of proof to say that Guru Ji has always said to take Amrit, whether it was made crystal clear or not in words isn't the problem even, it's the importance and the understanding "you" (anyone) gains from the Bani. For me, I am someone willing to dedicate everything to Sikhi and on my new journey so far, I'm trying my best to do so. From my personal experiences, Sikhi is great and taking Amrit to earn the title of being a Sikh, meaning to give my head willingly to the Guru is to show how dedicated I am and to walk on their path alone.
