@0:42 can someone guide me to that quote? I feel bhai Jargraj might have mistakenly (he probably meant to say something else but with English-speaking audience it came out like that) said guru nanak go baptized by god, this type of mistake can encourage Christians or muslims to poke at this statement. (We have to be carefull at how we present bani because predatory religious leaders are listening to convert people)

If your not thinking of taking amrit, your not taking Sikhi seriously.

@@founderofself that's different, they don't know but those who know well about Sikhi and choose not to take Amrit are clearly not taking Sikhi seriously. It doesn't mean you're a bad person or will go to hell just that our Sikhi isn't a game, nor our Guru a toy which you can pick up play with when you like it which most non-amritdhari people do, worried about what other people will think. Plus, not every person can become an Amritdhari, Sikhi isn't that easy. It's everyone's choice though but Maharaj himself blesses a few who do take Amrit and sincerely follow Sikhi. It's truly a blessing.

@@founderofself Guru Granth Sahib Ji mentions of Amrit many time, the ceremony or initiation itself isn't mentioned as it has changed but I can find plenty of proof to say that Guru Ji has always said to take Amrit, whether it was made crystal clear or not in words isn't the problem even, it's the importance and the understanding "you" (anyone) gains from the Bani. For me, I am someone willing to dedicate everything to Sikhi and on my new journey so far, I'm trying my best to do so. From my personal experiences, Sikhi is great and taking Amrit to earn the title of being a Sikh, meaning to give my head willingly to the Guru is to show how dedicated I am and to walk on their path alone.

In order to get an Anand Karaj, it's best to be an Amritdhari simply for the fact that you are not just one with your partner (Wife or husband) but also getting married with the Guru to say that I will love you alone and according to your teachings, take care of my partner and love them as well. But who listens nowadays, people just get Anand Karaj as if it's some kind of joke!

+nikos t - Hello, Sikhi is one of the way to become one with Akal Purakh. If you understand Sikhi then you would know Sikhi is about forgiveness, selfless service, living with dignity, helping the poor/ down trodden, righteousness, reciting gurus baani, helping others to learn gurus baani, taking amrit and become like guru.
In Sikhi, guru is not separate from Sikh. Guru is part of Sikh and Sikh is part of Guru. That is the reason, in Sikhi we have to become one with Guru. When you become one with Guru you will achieve everything including Heaven/Sach Khand

Might need more research. Go to Sikhiwiki website. Pls don't listen to Sikhs. Listen to the Guru. Shabad Guru.
Pls be patient, m putting one question. Have you ever questioned your mother to give any specific proof of your father?
      Certainly no.
      Why?
Cause you love your mother. You respect her, listen to her, care for her.
In the same way, we all should build a relationship with Guru as well. Read the Itihaas. Read Gurbani. Do nitnem. Gradually we would start believing in our Guru, after we experience the bliss of his teachings.
May Waheguru bless you with Khande di Pahul.
