Just bought one. Needed one for a quick project and it worked well enough. There is oil on all the metal tools and some components that stinks a bit. kinda wish it came with a fence.

Do you think it would handle curves on pine 2x4s fairly well?
Only if take your time doing it and the 2x4 on its side. Keeping the blade tight so it don’t bend has you make the curved cut, but if your going to do lots of more heavier work, I’d recommend getting a more industrial type band saw.
how would this work cutting walnut?
Not sure since I haven’t done it…. Probably with right blade.
Can you cut steel with it
With the right.blade you can.
@@JackOfAllTrades2022 i went to harbor freight and the guy said that one is made just for wood only. Im questioning that
@@stephenknecht7189 You can cut steel with any bandsaw with the correct blade and blade speed. For mild steel it's 100-250 feet per minute.
@@JG-kv4oi oh ok.. I was thinking about getting that band saw but someone said its just for wood..
@@stephenknecht7189 i am definitely late to this party, but the speed on this bandsaw is not adjustable and is extremely fast, making cutting most metals besides thin aluminum plates near impossible.
I started mine it spun once and the motor seized
That’s not good, return it, just a bad motor.
