1) Thank you for this video. This is an excellent idea. 2) Thank you for starting the video with a demonstration of the end product. That is much appreciated. 3) Awesome music.
I've tried a couple of other DIY fences for my old Delta 14" bandsaw, never been satisfied. Your fence; however; was easy to build and works great! Thanks for the idea and info!
Great job Eric, I fought this for years. I love your fence and table. Simple yet very effective. Have you thought about adding some measuring tape on the table for marking? Thanks again,
Thanks Marty! I thought about it but then I just bought a new bandsaw that includes a scale and a fence. I still have the Ryobi though. You can never have enough bandsaws🙂
Most of your videos are very good; this one is outstanding... The fence you designed looks to be the best DIY Fence I have seen (and I have been looking at dozens of them online.
Great idea & nice work Eric! I guess that as long as the opposit side of the table are parrallel, that mechanism will work fine. However, I was wondering how you would adjust it for blade drift, which is common on bandsaws. Just thinking out loud.......... Nice job........... 👍👍👍👍😉😉
@Sapele Steve Thanks kindly 🙂 Very good point! To avoid drift, I was always taught to tune up the bandsaw blade, not the fence. Once you have the fence lined up square, you adjust your tracking on the top wheel until your drift is reduced. After that, I will also adjust the blade tension until I'm satisfied that it is cutting parallel to the fence. Bandsaw blades can stretch a bit, so you need to get used to doing this from time to time.
@Dana Smith Controlling drift usually comes down to tracking and tension. If you're confident that you've done everything to correct it, then the problem might be the blade itself. I found that switching brands recently made a huge difference in the quality and performance of my bandsaw. I've had better luck with the Olson Band saw blades, purchased on Amazon than the Bosch brand or the factory blades I previously used. If you want to check the tracking again, do this: unplug the machine and do this manually. Rotate the top wheel a few times and keep an eye on the blade while you adjust the tracking knob. When it can go through a few revolutions without any side to side movement, the tracking is fixed. If needed, adjust the tension knob to ensure the tension is right. Not too tight - enough so the blade isn't flexing but stays straight.
@Dana Smith One other thing I should mention is that bandsaw blades stretch a bit over time. You have to adjust the tension (just slightly ) when this happens.
How happy are you with Ryobi band-saw? Im looking for something to help me rip or resaw 2x4s. Would you recommend it? Was there any other bandsaws you considered?
It works fine. It was cheap and cheerful but if you are going to use the bandsaw a lot, get a better one. I have a bit of buyer's remorse because I know I will upgrade this tool in the near future.
@Gordon Walmsley You find these on Amazon - they're toggle clamps. When you shop on Amazon, read the sizes / dimensions before you buy. The clamp used in the video is this one: Toggle Clamp 201B Red: amzn.to/2x2C3lJ
love that mortar trawl as a push block.

You must be the ultimate diy'er I noticed you had a modified trowel for a push block. 👍 excellent project.
That t-track idea is brilliant!
Genius. I'm stealing both ideas. Fence for my band saw and T track for miter saw.
Oh yeah. Love the push block idea too.
That’s really great! I like your push block too.
Great video. Way to think outside of the box!
Brilliant. Just what I need for router, bandsaw, and drill press. Thanks.
Slick! I love that design. Very simple but very effective. Nice job! 👍🏼
Simple, effective and economic to build. It's a pleasure to watch you work.
Das ist wirklich eine einfache nachzubauende Einrichtung und super Idee. I am giving you a subscription.
Viele Grüße aus Germany.
After watching this for the 3rd (4th ??) time I thought I should donate. Thanks Eric. This is great. Mine is now half built.
Greatly Appreciated Kevin! Thank-You 🙏.🙂
Thanks Eric. You are appreciated. Next on my build list for band saw and drill press.
Wow! Que hombre tan ingenioso!!! Haré este proyecto para mi Sierra de cinta
Yup! That's the one I going to make!!!! Thanks!!!!
Great jig, very easy to put together.l
Loved the zero clearances table. Not sure why I didn’t make this a long time ago
What a great idea I have to try this before buying something expensive that does the same thing thanks for sharing
Would love to see your router table fence!
Awsome, can't wait to attempt this "jig"
That’s awesome simple and true may I know was is the title your background sound it’s cool.
What's the purpose of the t-track that you built there? Great idea. Thanks.
Thanks for your time & video

Super Easy!
Thank You!
Great idea bud!
Awesome!!
Great idea, ideal upgrade for my bandsaw making it a much more useful tool. The fence supplied is not great. 👍🏽
Great idea! Could you share a link to clamp you use in this video please?
On Amazon, the part would be: Toggle Clamp 201B Red: amzn.to/2x2C3lJ

Good job 🖒☺
I have the same band saw as you and I hate it. This may make me love it again Thank you so much!
Funny how I am never able to find the materials you use in my local hardware store. Where do I get the toggle clamp? What type is it?
@Bart Buitenhuis I can't find anything at mine either. I do a lot of shopping on Amazon: Toggle Clamp 201B Red: amzn.to/2x2C3lJ
whats the name of the toggle clamp? what type there are loads of sizes. please

Great idea! Did you mention drill press?
@Sheil B Wright I've never had to use a fence on the drill press but yes, I suppose you could adapt the fence for that as well.
What’s the part number for the clamp. I’ve seen these used before but no-one seems to be able to find the large clamps like the one you’ve used.
On Amazon, the part would be: Toggle Clamp 201B Red
Eric Sorensen much appreciated 👍
These clamps are also sold at Menards
