- Comparing 3 great vintage Gibson L5CTs from 1958, 59, and 61 using a variety of DeArmond vintage pickups. They all sound great, but which is the winner?
You're right, they all do sound great! Each one has it's own unique voice! Awesome video, thank you!
My pleasure!
Forgot to mention how much I appreciate you for making these videos.
Thanks man it is a pleasure, but even more when I get comments like yours! Thanks :)
What a sound! Beautiful man.
EDIT: My favourite is the 1958.
Mine too man!
Great guitars, tone and playing. One of my favorite YT channels.
Thank you so much!

Great Guitars so Bright compared to ES175. Your playing is cool .
Thank you!
Oh, too difficult to select one best! I probably missed it, but what amp was used?
It’s a toneblock :) into an old Gibson 40’s es275 cabinet.
hey Mike, do you manage to have a balanced sound between the strings with the FHC without cutting the pickguard? when i do, often the treble e string doesn 't take much pu sound
There is a compromise for sure, but I couldn’t bring myself to cut an original white guard. :)
Hey, you can open the pickup and change the Position of the Magnet. A little placeholder (for me a small piece caton ) helped to bring the Magnet closer to high e string . Also some paper under the pickup to bring him closer to the strings helped me
Great idea! Thanks!
cool idea indeed, thanks@@dinowurtinger4206
