Great find Lou. Great car, amazing restoration . Very similar to my high school car. Bench seat, 4 speed. Ribbon tach, laser stripe. No hidden headlight. Mine was a fastback, with shaker hood, but was blacked out. Factory louvers.
The orange grabs your attention and the laser stripe gets the vehicle to look that it is in motion. And then that engine. Oh, my! The styling on this Torino on the outside is stunning. I've never been fond of the interiors of these Torinos as it seems to be too plebian for the exterior styling. My Dad had a 1968 Torino GT fastback and it was a glorious car with an interior that wasn't so humble. I too love those hidden headlights. You've done it again, Lou! Great car!
Beautiful 1970 Ford Torino GT Convertible in that bright orange color! How good did that "Ram" air intake on the hood look and its striking reflective, or laser, side stripes, which end just behind the doors with those 5 pieces and chrome GT letters. Perfect combination of black interior, seats and instrument panel. Impeccable engine compartment, with the large block 429 V8 Cobra Jet engine. Excellent sound produced by its exhausts; In fact, when he accelerated for the second time, I almost went deaf! Ha ha. And, of course, its attractive retractable highway headlights and horns working perfectly! Good vibes Mr. Micklos; So I congratulate you for this gem, and for the rest of Torinos, which, for sure, must be very well cared for! Best regards, Lou!
Never been a fan of orange cars...now, I'm a fan. The lights even opened simultaneously! Best...when you asked him to give it one more rev...he actually delivered. Some seem to be shy..not Joe..awesome car!
Thank you Lou for taking the time to visit our convertible! Thanks for all the compliments, it makes the work worthwhile! I hope everyone enjoys it, and we will start working on the next MCACN car.
I'm an Olds, not a Ford guy, but "Wow, just wow!" AMAZING vehicle. Thank you, Lou, for bringing us all these gems like you do. It allows me (and many others like me!) a 'vehicle' (LOL) to enjoy the autos from our youth that we once owned, or always wanted to own. As I am retired and unable to garage or work on anything, I can enjoy them vicariously by watching your delightful channel. Thank you for putting in all the effort and doing the work for others to enjoy! It is appreciated!
Absolutely gorgeous ! 70 Torinos are my favorite . Mom had one , brother had one , and I've had 3 . Have one in the garage . Love the hideaway headlights . A must have ! I know these cars like the back of my hand . And yes , the steering wheel emblem is upside down ! Thanks for sharing ! Always a pleasure seeing your videos !
Hi Sparky the Detroit Doggo, Happy to read this brings back memories of your Moms car, Brothers car, and your 3 cars :-) My pleasure sharing with you. You're welcome, Lou
Hey big bro Lou! You got me all "Starsky and Hutch" with this one, big brother. Ya also got me in my tubesocked stocking JV baseball jock feet as my brand new floppy (still) lily white DC's are hanging on the rear view mirror of Joe's beautiful Ford Torino, man 🤪. Yeah, I know Hutch and Starsky drove a Ford GRAN Torino, but since those 2 guys were like gods to me when I was a little boy-my heroes and we used to portray them 24/7-and since David Soul recently passed away, that's all I could think about watching this awesome video. The styling of this Torino GT just knocks me out, Lou (which happens often😵) ......Those hidden headlights are demonically (superhero Hell Boy and not a mean one) cool and sinister, long lines just beautiful (can I touch?!) and of course the full width Torino taillights-man, that is one beautiful girl 😁😜! And the exhaust sound 100% matches the sinister front end. So hot, man! Thanks for featuring this wonderful piece of all-American nostalgia, big bro. We need the inspiration these days for sure! And RIP David Soul. Miss ya, Dad....JVJohnny ⚾⚾
Hey JV Johnny, Happy to read this one brings back fun Starsky & Hutch memories :-) Glad to read you enjoy the sounds from this car. My pleasure sharing with you, and you're welcome, Lou

G'day Lou, Absolutely brilliant from every angle & love the body style & reflectors. Ford was really the Going Thing Cheers Louis Kats your number 1 Fan in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 🇺🇸
What a great stripe & color combo, and hideaway lights, too. I don't think Mr. Micklos will outgrow this one, especially with the top down, and I'm sure glad we got to meet him and see this one from his Torino collection. Thanks, Lou!
Great video! I love Joe and Angela's car! Mine is the twin except it's a 351c (mine is 1 of 182). I wish you would have touched more on just how rare that car is compared to other Torino's as there were only 3939 convertibles made to begin with, and having a 429 cj is something you just don't see even being heavily involved in the Torino world. I run into people who didn't even know they made a Torino convertible.
Beautiful car! My buddy almost has the twin to it. Same color. 429 CJ, 4spd, black bucket seats, shaker. Although it is originally a "C" code car. Beautiful job! Well done!

Hi Rusty Dreams Garage, Happy to read "Great video! I love Joe and Angela's car!" :-) Glad to read you have the twin. Lou
MCACN should follow your example and run on a semi permanent basis ❤
That would be nice :-)
Very nice Torino! Great colour and stripes. Beautiful restoration.

No Caretaker to be found.

Класне авто! Колір, діски, салон, двигун! Дякую!
Hi Сергій, Happy to read you enjoy this "Cool Car" :-) You're welcome, Lou
I wonder if a rear spoiler is available on the rag top ?
I wouldn't see why not.
They weren't an option, but many people put the Mercury Cyclone Spoiler wings on.
Absolutely awesome car. However, the stance seems a bit off - side view - the rear end seems low and the front end high.
High praise.
The car is dead level. It's the illusion caused by the front wheel well being taller than the rear ones. Thanks!
This was an uncommon car even when new.
You're right.
👍🔥😎🔥👍
:-)
