Just a heads-up: My daughter was 3 when her sister was born and she was amazing as a big sister, always cuddling her etc and because of that we assumed there was no jealousy. We only figured out she was jealous because she started acting up with us. Not saying it will happen with Sage, we just were blindsided because we thought loving her little sister and being good to her meant she was not jealous🙈 What helped immensely was when I would sometimes say to the baby "wait I have to look after your big sister first" to make her feel important.😊
My son is the same he has the best intentions for his baby sister and shows so much love and affection. He is also more patient than expected for his age. That being said the parents focus will be inevitably divided and it is only normal and should be expected that the firstborn will show their feelings in some way. Every child will react a bit differently but they should expect that Sage will also change. The family has changed with a new member how can she be the same even. People should not be disappointed by those reactions as they are only normal 😊
That's how my daughter is with her little brother but she is just turning 2 so it's 2 under 2
My parents had a hilarious story about my older brother meeting me. He is 14 months older, so he just started talking when I was born. He took one look at me and said “take her back!” 😂 My parents laughed so hard, since they tried their best to prepare him, showing him other small babies from church, and talking about how he’s getting a baby sibling. It was all for naught, because he was done with me the moment he met me lol 😅

Great advice! Usually we say we need to look after the LO first because of thier crying and can't communicate. I'm going to practice this on my son now who six with his newborn baby sister

I knew this time around I was pregnant with twin girls before I even had my first confirmation appointment.

I was thinking Owen, congratulations on your boy! Oakley is super cute. I watched your videos during my first pregnancy and when I was still trying to conceive now I am 22 weeks and 3 days with my second. Now you've had your second baby and I'm just so excited to meet my next little one soon. I absolutely love your videos and your little family. So far I've had one daughter and we'll have two half way through February so I'm so excited for all the videos that will help with getting in the mindset of two before my second girl is here! My daughters are only going to be a year apart so it'll be different but some things will be the same! My second girl was not planned but we wanted another baby so it was a pleasant surprise, if really early. I'm rambling but I'm so happy for you both and also wanted to share why I've loved watching your channel! I will also be watching your health and fitness channel after my current pregnancy! I have had high risk pregnancies both times so no exercise for me sadly.

That was exactly how and when I named our daughter. It was just after she was born I declared it!, I guess, lol. It just fit. Oakley is Beautiful! and so are you all! Congratulations! 🎉 What a beautiful name for a beautiful little boy. I had a feeling you were having a boy this whole time. A lot of your symptoms matched mine! I have a 16 month old son (& also 22 weeks pregnant with baby boy #2) and he’s the sweetest (and wildest 😅) little guy ever. Having a little boy is just so so sweet- you’re going to love it! ♥️
ETA: By the way, my son was born with a little bit of light brown hair and it seemed like it was gonna stay that way but now he’s completely platinum blonde!
