  • Alaska's new interior features some of the most comfortable standard reclining First Class seats I've sat in. They combined blends of both Virgin America and old Alaska Airlines elements and created a pretty sleek and modern cabin.
The 737-700 isn't very easy to fly on in Alaska's fleet unless you're traveling to or in Alaska. After all, they only have 11 of them, and its reduced capacity is perfect for small Alaskan towns.
I had a great onboard experience. The flight was a moderate 3 1/2 hour hop up to Anchorage. I was visiting Alaska for the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. It is an annual long-distance sled dog race run in early March from Anchorage, AK to Nome, AK. Mushers and a team of 14 dogs, of which at least 5 must be on the towline at the finish line, cover the distance in 8-15 days or more.
