@@DrDrayzday at 12:25 in "Baldness in females: a Q&A with a dermatologist" you said lasers don't work for hair loss. So were the lasers you were referring to different than the red lights in this device??
Hi Dr! You said that laser treatments for hair don't work in your video "Baldness in females: a Q&A with a dermatologist". May I know why your opinion on this has changed?
I’ve PCOS and thyroid disease, so am on Androcur to reduce my androgen levels and help lessen my hair loss, but this is off licence in Ireland and there’s been a shortage recently (likely due to it not being in big demand and Brexit stockpiling of medication). Can’t use regain because of my eczema and alergies. I’ve always had fine, thin hair but now even tying it back highlights my hairloss even more. Definitely a blow to the aul self esteem, especially when it starts in your late 20s.
I have been dealing with hair loss for over 10 years. I tried an older version of an iRestore hair laser. It did not have this dual approach of laser and led's. I thought it helped, even though, I did not see an improvement in increased hair growth; but, I felt while I used this laser for about a year and half my hair loss did not get worse. That is important as well. I am really interested in trying this new version of the iRestore Hair Laser. Thanks for the informative video, Dr. Dray, I will try this laser and report back in six month on whether I see improvement or not.
THANK YOU for this video! I bought the laser cap and it is working! My hair is indeed thickening after losing so much. I really appreciate you giving me the confidence to spend this kind of money, money I can't afford to lose. I even, for the first time in years, have let my hair grow long again. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thinning hair and hair loss can be tough on your self-esteem. Hashimotos, on and off birth control and low ferritin levels leads me to always where my hair up. Thank you very much for the information ❤️.
Thank you for mentioning Hashimoto's! I recently got diagnosed and am dealing with thinning hair.... and really didn't know why? I brought it up to my Doctor...... but he didn't really acknowledge that to me it's a huge deal!
@@CaponeCabin Same with me. I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and recently Hashimoto. My mother and grandmother had severe hair loss as well. So, there is a heredity issue going on with me as well. I am also using HRT (Estradial patch). My family Dr. wanted me off of that because I was on it for 10+ years. When she took me off the HRT, I was miserable. I had severe hot flashes, bloating, and a not well feeling. Also, my hair loss went severe. I panicked and told my Dr., in no uncertain terms, that I was willing to take the chance and continue on HRT. I am back on the HRT; but, I have not seen regrowth of my hair. As, Dr. Dray pointed out hormones, play a role in hair loss when we go through menopause. I am so sorry I agreed to go off of the HRT. I am going to try this new version of the iRestore hair laser.
This is so awesome, I shave my head due to thinning and my hair has just gotten finer and finer over the years. It has been just more cost effective to shave my head instead of paying for a hair cut. I am looking into this system and may try it.
My mother, she is in her early 70s now, after she gave birth to me, lost hair as is normal, except it never grew back average thickness. It was thinner (all over). Then when she went through menopause she lost even more hair. Now when she makes a ponytail it is about sharpie thickness, so... not much hair at all. I have my dad's hair, fine but lots of it, even though I went through losing chunks of it (with bald spots) at the start of puberty (age 13/14) due to hormone imbalance and my hormones trying to "settle". It grew back, thankfully. I know just how stressful this is for women, even for men it is just that. But so much attention is given to "beauty" that it is so much worse, I feel, for a woman. Thank you for the video! :D

Thank you for mentioning hair loss after chemotherapy. I’ve just learned about chemotherapy induced alopecia, which seems to be what I am experiencing. I had thick, Mexican hair and not anymore. I tried Rogaine, but after seeing shedding, I stopped. Just too traumatic, and reminded me of that awful period. Dr. Dray I just want to confirm that you are aware that "I Restore" is using portions of this video as a pop up advertisement in various online areas. Or is it possible that it has been stolen ?
I have been using the hairmax laserband. I know it has laser lights, but does it have LED also? If it just has laser, will it still be effective for hair growth?
I literally started having major hair loss a few months ago and I am so scared and depressed. I don’t understand bc my hair has always been fine but I always had lots of hair. Now it’s coming out so much and I am thinning too. I just want to hide. I’m 41 and I have never had this before. So depressed....
I am 67 years old and currently using a laser cap with Rogaine. Dr,.Dray I have enjoyed and learned from all your videos. I would love to learn the proper way to combine Rogaine with a laser cap. Thank you.
I got this since seeing your last video on iRestore. I lost half my hair due to thyroid illness in my late twenties. Its very difficult to deal with cause it lowers your self esteem so incredibly much. Im using this helmet now since october and I lose half the amount of hair than before or even less, which is a big deal for me. For regrowth its a bit early to say, but I have to make new photos to compare. IRestore is the best I used for my hairloss. Oh and yes I also take Collagen, Zinc and Biotin supplements. But was taking those a year before Irestore. Maybe will try adding Saw Palmetto
Thank you for sharing Stefanie! We're glad to hear it's been working for you so far. We would love to hear more about your experience and see the results! :)
Thanks so much for the info! Would love to hear your thoughts on acne spot treatment stickers/patches and hydrocolloid patches, if you would be willing. Thanks again Dr. Dray!
Dr. Dray, since you have been using the Tretinoin Vitamin A, your skin looks so lovely. Do you attribute the improvement in your skin to any other new thing you tried?
Good morning everyone :-) Dr D, after the Japanese sunscreen video where you so considerately listed every chemical sunscreen in each product, I thought maybe a dedicated video would be great for a rundown of all of these different chemical screens with anything you know about their "personalities", for example this one is known for stinging, this one is controversial for x y reason, this one is old, this one is new, this one is derived from abc, this one is approved only in country x. Plus the effect each one has on uva vs uvb... Even with the caveat that it's all from off the top of your head and you didn't do a lot of extra research, I think subscribers would be really grateful and would benefit a lot.
Thank You Thank You Thank You for making this video !! I've been so stressed about my thinning hair. Definitely going to get this ! Happy New Year !! :)
Hi Dr Dray, it is out of context, but i was wondering if you could considering talking about the Eucerin line for pigmentation? It is very popular on melasma group on Facebook and i would love to know your opinion about it. I love your channel and all the informations you provide. Thank you
I had no idea such a thing existed! I used to have extremely thick hair but lost a great deal gradually over a few years as a late teen, young adult. I have PCOS. Thanks for this video - I can’t wait to check into this.
It you start a laser treatment and stop do you lose hair? I started noticing hairloss in 10/22 (49yo), after lots of tests they determined my iron at 14 and vitamin d was low. However, I was not anemic. My dermatologist was horrible, she was rude, rolled her eyes and was not helpful at all. She told me it was my gynos issue and she needs dto address my frequent periods. Although I did have covid 7/29/22, so I am not convinced that isn't the issue. My hair is literally half of what I had, I never had thick hair but I had a ton of it. Now almost a year later it is not better and honestly what I think people don't say is you have not only lost so much hair, but you continue to shed and your hair grows back sooo slowly, it gets worse and I am still waiting no the better. Although, I don't have patches, it is more overall thinning, although the front left of my hair is kind of see through. Rant over, if I start the laser can I stop or will it all fall out any new growth?
Hi Dr Dray! I’m thinking of purchasing this product based on your great review! Just two questions please- has this helped your hair grow thicker and longer? Did you use the shampoo treatment system also? wondering if I should use it, it looks to be natural. Thank you so much for your advice :)
I paid $900 for the iRestore Pro, and unfortunately the only thing it gave me was an Itchy scalp and migraines. I couldn't Give it away with a clear conscience ! :/
Thank you so much for this review. I am experiencing thinning and some hair loss in the crown due to hormones. So, I've been looking for solutions. This is so timely;). Have a great day 👏❤👏

I bought this system in October and have been using every other day. I have two questions. Is is ok to use every other day? And is it normal to shed more when this therapy is initially started? Thank you for the informative review!
Claire B oh my gosh! Yes, it is working! I was just thinking today as I was driving, I usually have to put a headband on to try to hide my scalp and it is looking so much better! I am just amazed and thrilled!!
@@debbiegreene7037 wow congratulations that's awesome! It can be so frustrating to have to hide thinning areas.. I do daily with dark brown dry shampoo. I have androgenic alopecia and am age 26. Minoxidil hasn't worked for me to regrow but does keep the hairloss at bay. Might need to try the laser... I'm scared due to the price. Do you have the professional cap or the basic cap? 🙂 Thanks for your reply!
Claire Bi bought the $1000 cap when they had a full one yr guarantee. I am so happy I did! I’ve tried the minoxidil several times but just don’t like the feeling of my hair. If you can afford it in any way at all, i would truly recommend it.
Hi @Dr. Dray, I was wondering how you feel towards using the comb electrode for high frequency? Are there any studies or data on that?I have used it, but don't use it frequently and not sure by using it every day if it would have a negative/positive effect? Thank you.
Love Dr.Dray! Our Producer is infatuated with her videos. She definitely sheds a TON of great information out there. Greatly appreciated, too! iRestore- There is a $400.00 off today for the Professional. $200.00 for the Essential.
In female balding video, u’ve said that studies have shown that laser treatment for hair isn’t helpful. Is this therapy different than the one u mentioned in ‘female balding’ video?
Hi Dr. Dray, long time watcher, quick question: Been using iRestore for 2 months and have small red spots (sometimes bumps) on the top half the forehead. Wondering if this is normal and/or may go away with continued use? I have not found anecdotal evidence of this elsewhere. Thanks so much, greatly appreciated!
Tiffany Wheeler , there are many reports which state the shedding phase is notably slower during pregnancy. Hence after giving birth the shedding returns to normal. This can happen suddenly resulting in what appears to be excess hair loss. As with so many other changes associated with pregnancy. Try to be patient and above all discuss it with your ob/gyn. In addition "stress" has unquestionably been found to cause a form of hair thinning that does NOT permanently damage our hair follicles. So you are dealing with the stressful physical effects plus the stress of becoming a parent. HUGE HUGS & MUCH LOVE.
Hi dr dray, I have androgenetic alopecia and tried to research many clinics in london that help with alopecia. I realised that most clinics have a 6 months laser treatment that also provides you with monoxidile serum. I have been told by the consultants that after 6 months i will not need to use anymore lasers and all i need is the monoxidile to maintain the hair. One example of clinics like this is Estehairmedical. Do you think the option of using 6 month laser treatment is more effective than to purchase the irestore? Please reply !
Does this product work on black women hair loss? I ask because there’s a similar product on either QVC or HSN that indicates it hasn’t been tested on darker skin scalp. I am interested in purchasing it but want to make sure it has been proven to work on black women. Thank you and I enjoy your videos.
Hello Doc! This looks interesting but I doubt it’s ‘epilepsy friendly’. I have A LOT of hair loss due to long term, heavy medication 🙄 and I also live in a very hard water area. 💜
I have to be the one to ask this and can't be the only one wondering. So regarding working out or sweating, do you go through all the face washing steps after? Does it dry out your skin washing your face 3 times a day? (Morning, after workout, night) and say after you wash your face at night and uh... spontaneous events occur... did your routine rub off on the sheets and now have to reapply everything? It's so hard to understand how to keep up with the "workout everyday to be healthy but only wash your hair a couple times a week too"... I wash my hair every other day but when I workout I have to wash it, I feel gross if I don't, I have naturally oily hair anyway. Kind of a long winded topic but hoping Dr Dray can do a video? Thanks! (PS. unrelated but does anyone have suggestions on sunscreen? I feel like I've tried all of her suggestions and it always clumps up and even makes my acne worse. Thank you!)
Dr Dray, I just want to come back here to let you know my experience after using the helmet end of Dec 2019. I have seen substantial difference in my hair growth where I was thinning. The Rogaine and Spritolactone slowed down the shedding a bit in the last 3 years but it was on and off. The PRP was helping more the last year but I after stopping Diane 35, the massive shed came back! That was when I decided to give the helmet a try. After 3 months, I have to say PRP and the laser helmet, it’s the winning combination. Thanh you so much for recommending. I witnessed how your hair got thicker over the years and I was convinced! My melasma and hair have much improved thanks to you 🥰
My family and I gifted my brother who has bad male pattern baldness an iRestore pro as a Christmas present. He has used it every other day since then and I have noticed markedly thicker hair on his scalp. I think by next Christmas, he will finally have a full set of hair!
Thank you dr dray for your advice .. I’m trying to save some money to get this device as it is very expensive in Tunisian dinars .. however I’m adamant to buy it .
Dr. Dray, if having low success with daily minoxidil + scalp serums, do you recommend trying this? I am 26 with androgenic alopecia (for about 4 years now) and I basically just sustain my current hair loss level. I do see some baby hairs but they never get past that length. I'm also trying microneedling once a month which may or may not be helping, can't tell yet. Do you recommend I try the laser hat? Lol
Hi, I’ve had an issue with hair loss which happened rather suddenly last summer. I had chemo in 2018, and my hair was coming back nicely with my former density. Then, all of a sudden it thinned dramatically. My thinking is that all of my hair was in the same growth cycle, then went into resting phase at the same time.I’ve been using Rogaine since oct and its coming back although still can see my scalp in front and at the crown. Just purchased the irestore pro. Excited to see improvement.
Hi dr. Dray! This video is super helpful for me right now ‘cause I’ve noticed a considerable loss of volume this year :( is it possible that my hair could regain some of it if I stop taking birth control pills? (Also I recently began using minoxidil every night and taking amino acids in pill form every day) Thank you so much, love from Argentina 🇦🇷 ❤️
What do you think of PRP? I was recommended it by a dermatologist. I had three treatments and then my hair started falling out. It might have been because of my thyroid, very low vitamin d or large amount of weight loss. Do you think PRP is effective?
Jackie Marsh Thank you sunshine .Happy Tuesday to you too.I hope you have a go lucky day.I love you always and forever.I'm sending you loads of love and hugs oxOX 🌈⛅️💕☕️
I have suffered from hair loss for years but am thankful it has really improved. I like using and looking at backed scientific studies that prove the science of a treatment to effectively treat hair loss. Natural methods that work and have been studied include dermarollering, scalp massages and oils like rosemary essential oil and peppermint essential oil. The latter oils have been proven to stimulate hair growth.
Is laser light therapy for hair loss treatment contraindicated during pregnancy? During breastfeeding? I can't think why it would be, but it'd still be good to know that this is generally considered safe for both situations.
My hair is shedding terribly and I have balding spots in the front of my hair. It’s embarrassing and definitely affects your self esteem as a woman. I would love to try the Restore but unfortunately the price tag is more than I can afford. If there a more affordable way to stop the shedding and balding? Thank you for your videos. They are so helpful!
Hello... Im a new subscriber and am LOVING THE CONTENT... I have a pituitary tumor... Affecting my thyroid and hormones... Which has caused me to have a thinning receding hairline.... Will the laser helmet work for this? Will any specific medicine that people with this issue? (Not necessarily just the ones sold on this laser helmet sight) Can you please tell us what the options might be for someone struggling with this type of issue... THANK YOU 🧡
the helmet is unlikely to make a substantial difference as hair loss related to thyroid hormone requires the thyroid hormone issue be corrected and after that the hair can slowly return on its own...possibly the helmet would expedite that return, but only if the thyroid hormone issue has been addressed
I used the shampoo and conditioner myself before (not currently) and found they were nice and not drying nor did they lead to build up or weighing down of the hair. I dont think they are essential though if you have a shampoo you like already. The serum is nice to use on the scalp afterwards as it is like a moisturizer and can reduce scalp dryness and itch, without weighing down the hair or making it feel greasy
I have a Ulcerative Colitis for about 20 years, the disease and the medications ( Imuran, Prednisone, Mesalamine) all causing hair loss, skin thinning, Dermatitis, photosensitivity and other side effects. - Does this laser help in my case? And I have a request: will you kindly talk about the side effects of such medications and how to cope with it!
For the irestore to work do you need to do it indefinitely? If you see results and then stop use, should you expect the hair to start thinning again? Thanks!
You could also try restolin, it's supposed to be more organic and is supposed to be more scientifically proven but hey if this method works for you then that's great :)
My sleep hasn't been very well lately and I experience increased hair loss every time I shampoo. My dad has male pattern hair loss, so I 'm wondering whether I'm getting pattern hair loss too (I'm female) or it's just stress and lack of sleep. I started using castor oil on my scalp once a week to pre-condition my hair before shampooing, and I noticed slight decrease in hair loss. Can I use the iRestore device? Can you also talk about these kind of oil treatments for hair? Thank you very much!
Is this laser light therapy actually work? And is it practically to use it 3 times a week for the rest of your life ? - is it convinient? - is it effective?
Hair loss can really take a toll on confidence. Speaking from experience 🙁
it certainly can

Congratulations Dr Dray! You're in there ads now at the site. You go girl!
Thanks so much for the info! Would love to hear your thoughts on acne spot treatment stickers/patches and hydrocolloid patches, if you would be willing. Thanks again Dr. Dray!

Would this help if hair thinning is due to pcos? Don’t expect a reply but any thoughts on that would help many women, im sure
Dr. Dray, since you have been using the Tretinoin Vitamin A, your skin looks so lovely. Do you attribute the improvement in your skin to any other new thing you tried?
Good morning everyone :-)
Dr D, after the Japanese sunscreen video where you so considerately listed every chemical sunscreen in each product, I thought maybe a dedicated video would be great for a rundown of all of these different chemical screens with anything you know about their "personalities", for example this one is known for stinging, this one is controversial for x y reason, this one is old, this one is new, this one is derived from abc, this one is approved only in country x. Plus the effect each one has on uva vs uvb... Even with the caveat that it's all from off the top of your head and you didn't do a lot of extra research, I think subscribers would be really grateful and would benefit a lot.
Happy Tuesday :) Good idea
Can you please inform us as much as possible on PCOS? Thanks!
see my video on hormones and hair loss, discussed there
Thank You Thank You Thank You for making this video !! I've been so stressed about my thinning hair. Definitely going to get this ! Happy New Year !! :)
Hey, did you get it? any news?
Hi Dr Dray, it is out of context, but i was wondering if you could considering talking about the Eucerin line for pigmentation? It is very popular on melasma group on Facebook and i would love to know your opinion about it. I love your channel and all the informations you provide. Thank you
You are such a beauty! Just a joy to watch!!🥰🥰
Ashley Ladan thanks
I had no idea such a thing existed! I used to have extremely thick hair but lost a great deal gradually over a few years as a late teen, young adult. I have PCOS. Thanks for this video - I can’t wait to check into this.

Can you use this on your face?
Suggestions for thinning/balding brows and lashes?
I would like to try it so bad 😞
Thank you ---awesome video !! If you top using the device will your hair loss start back up?
the hair loss can return, yes
Thank you so much for this review. I am experiencing thinning and some hair loss in the crown due to hormones. So, I've been looking for solutions. This is so timely;). Have a great day 👏❤👏
Thanks for watching
Can a healthy 23 years old woman use it just to increase her hair density? Thank you♥️
Such a Good Topic Dr. Dray!! Hair Loss Can Be Terrible!! Sooo Glad You Touched On This Topic, It Gives Us a Better Understanding Of This Problem!! Thank You For a Perfect Video, as Always!! Please Enjoy Your Day, and I Hope It's a Beautiful One!! Always!! xoxoxo!
Thanks Ms Jackie!
@@DrDrayzday You Are Sooo Welcome!! I Hope Your Having a Wonderful Day, Filled With All Sorts Of Kindness!! Always!! xoxoxo!!
I bought this system in October and have been using every other day. I have two questions. Is is ok to use every other day? And is it normal to shed more when this therapy is initially started? Thank you for the informative review!
Hi Debbie, any updates?
Any updates?
Can you talk about laser hair removal for different skin colors, where to get it done, tips, etc? Thank you!
In one of your earlier videos about female hair balding 2 years ago, you said laser hair treatment doesn’t work? Is this still the case?
Hi @Dr. Dray, I was wondering how you feel towards using the comb electrode for high frequency? Are there any studies or data on that?I have used it, but don't use it frequently and not sure by using it every day if it would have a negative/positive effect? Thank you.
I am desperate for help with my hair loss. It's devastating. 😢 I will have to save up for this one! Thank you.
It can improve density and thickness, but is not a cure for hair loss
Dr. Dray, do you think something like this could be used while on Accutane?
Does your scalp get hot using this cap? Does the laser light not hit your face? Having Melasma I don't need the light.
Hi Dr D, great find. Does iRestore ship to Australia?
Love Dr.Dray! Our Producer is infatuated with her videos. She definitely sheds a TON of great information out there. Greatly appreciated, too!
iRestore-
There is a $400.00 off today for the Professional. $200.00 for the Essential.
Does it work for telogen effluvium?
Did you use this product yourself ? I feel like you have a fuller set of hair now !
yes!
@@DrDrayzday Do you use it with the shampoo products they recommend or do you just use the helmet?
In female balding video, u’ve said that studies have shown that laser treatment for hair isn’t helpful. Is this therapy different than the one u mentioned in ‘female balding’ video?
I'd like to know...
I lost a bunch of hair when losing weight last year but it all came back. I am a 63 year old female.
that commonly happens after weight loss, but glad to hear the hair growth is improved 👍
Is it safe for pregnant women?
My hair has thinned so much since having my son 😫
@@maryastark8075 He just turned 3 so I don't think its the typical postpartum hair loss anymore.
there is a big difference between FDA approved and FDA cleared...
Will laser light therapy continue to work for hair loss over one's lifetime or will it loose effectiveness eventually?
Does this product work on black women hair loss? I ask because there’s a similar product on either QVC or HSN that indicates it hasn’t been tested on darker skin scalp. I am interested in purchasing it but want to make sure it has been proven to work on black women. Thank you and I enjoy your videos.
it can, depending on the type of hair loss
UltimateEnd0 Thanks for sharing. I’m happy for him as much as I am happy for myself. Losing hair can be mentally hard for many people.
Thank you dr dray for your advice .. I’m trying to save some money to get this device as it is very expensive in Tunisian dinars .. however I’m adamant to buy it .
Happy Tuesday Dr. Dray...see you tomorrow x💙
Paula Hatch happy Tuesday
(Also I recently began using minoxidil every night and taking amino acids in pill form every day)
Thank you so much, love from Argentina 🇦🇷 ❤️
What do you think of PRP? I was recommended it by a dermatologist. I had three treatments and then my hair started falling out. It might have been because of my thyroid, very low vitamin d or large amount of weight loss. Do you think PRP is effective?

Dr. Dray your code is not working so I had to contact the company and they supplied me with SAVE200. I just thought you should know. Thank you!
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray and everyone ! Thanks so much such an informative video
Happy Tuesday Thank You Mary Ann!! I Hope You Have a Fabulous Day!!
So helpful..I have Lupus and chemo is just a treatment I take once a month..Thank you Dr Dray..💗💗💗
Would this help those suffering from Alopecia Areata, Totalis or Universalis?
Could the light or laser bypass an "average" amount of hair?
Cerave seems to be releasing a benzoyl peroxide acne cleanser soon!! Curious to see your thoughts - it’s on their website now!
gina572 yes I showed that in a recent video in cvs
There is a 18% restocking fee on returns.
Does this product work on men the same? Thank you..
Do you recommend the hair loss shampoo, conditioner, serum that comes with it?
I used the shampoo and conditioner myself before (not currently) and found they were nice and not drying nor did they lead to build up or weighing down of the hair. I dont think they are essential though if you have a shampoo you like already. The serum is nice to use on the scalp afterwards as it is like a moisturizer and can reduce scalp dryness and itch, without weighing down the hair or making it feel greasy
Thank you ☺️
I’d love to know what you think of the red light panels. I like the idea of being able to use one red light device for skin, hair and body.
Hi. She said it and I’ve heard it before- red lights and laser lights together show the best results in research findings.
Considering this expensive product, does it really work for androgenic alopecia?? Please advise 🙏
Dr Dray, what if any are the concerns re: electro magnet waves from devices for the brain and other structures? Would like to try one. Thank you.
Dr. Dray, Can this help men with male baldness pattern (dht caused)? Thank you for sharing this info!
Does the iRESTORE work for spots of alopecia?
I actually splurged a few months ago and bought the hairmax comb from BB&B with a 20% off coupon. I will say, I was skeptical but it is working....
