I have the Irestore pro and I love it! I’m 74. My whole life I’ve had fine hair but lots of it. I started thinning in my late fifties. Ive been using the Irestore faithfully for about 3 months and definitely see the difference. Not only do I have baby hair coming in, it’s coming back in my natural color and not gray! I don’t feel it’s inconvenient to use it at all. I use it in the evening when I’m watching tv or on my ipad. I’ll never be without it!

Thank you so much for sharing this!! It is so important that people can see BOTH sides to products like this. It will absolutely work for some and I believe that, and for others it won't but the reason it won't are hard to determine.... I'm so glad it works for you!!

I know, I don't even know why I purchased the battery pack because the Bold and the Beautiful stays on for 30 minutes and I just put it on and I am distracted until that show goes off but the device goes off 5 minutes earlier.

I have the IRestore Pro and have been using it for about a year. It's working for me but I think you need realistic expectations. I will never have the hair I once did but it is filling in enough that I feel more confident. By the way, there is a rechargeable battery pack option. No need to be tethered. 25 min every other day is a breeze. It never felt heavy to wear. Years ago I asked my dermatologist about it and he said dont waste your money. Im so sorry i listened to him but finally took a chance because of the great return policy.

I decided not to listen to my dermatologist either who had never taken blood work or anything that I felt would have been helpful to determine what's going on so I'm treating myself. At the very least, I'm hopefully it will grow the hair that I have and then I'll just have more to come over the area that I don't. Everyone should realize that shedding can possibly occur initially which might be frightening but it is what is expected and it is what we're going to shed anyway. I'm hoping that I have passed my shed phase and won't have to go through that. I've only used it three times so far and the fourth time will be today using it every other day as instructed

You look extremly pretty, gorgeous with or without hairs, beauty queen ;) I am a youngman, I would love and dream having such a vibrant, grateful and beautiful lady like you. But yes, as a youngman I did also became pretty insecure when I lost up to 80% all over my scalp (side, front, upper, crown) and my the hairs I still had didnt even grow anymore. So a huge ''problem''. But by using a laser helmet (a cheap helmet) I thank God grew all my hairs back, very thick and I am still shocked and crying :) Btw, I lost my hairs due to major stress back in 2019, in the past months I grew all my hairs back. This ilness is called Telogen Effluvium. Without this helmet it would never grow back as it did now. I used minoxidil, dermaroller etc, nothing really worked.

  • @drroseca
    @drroseca Рік тому +11

The thing to keep in mind with using light or laser to stimulate hair growth is that it is going to increase the amount of hair by around 20%. So if you are down to 80% of what you started with, you might get back to 80% + 20% of 80% = 96%. But if you're down to 50% of what you started with, you might get back to 50% + 20% of 50% = 60%. So it really depends on how much hair you have when you start. It also depends on your age, the cause of your hair loss and whether any underlying causes are still active.

I’m 60 and I have had PCOS related hair loss since I was in my late 20’s. Over time, the follicles miniaturize and die. Nothing will bring it back at this point being so far along except a beautiful wig. Someone early on may benefit more though. If I were younger I’d give it a try.

I bought the Pro model on a Black Friday probably two years ago. Since my 20's I've noticed a lack of hair in the temple area (mostly noticeable when pulling my hair back into a pony tail.) After wearing and using the Pro, I do notice super-fine baby hairs on the temple area coming in. They will never be long, lush hairs, but I guess it could be called re-growth. An interesting note: despite going gray in the usual areas: along forehead, front of ears etc, these baby hairs are not gray!

That is so interesting! I gave this to my son, who is 23 and losing his hair. He has been trying something called Keeps, and I hope this will be a good addition to his plan. Unfortunately, neither his dad nor I had good hair, and he got the bad hair gene, lol.

I've heard other people say that their gray hair started to grow back in Brown but I wonder what happens if you use it, gray hair or not, and you have blonde hair. I guess I wouldn't care if my hair came back in brown as long as my hair came back in.

Thank for this review! I've been wanting to try the iRestore but it's so EXPENSIVE & I'm 72 but my hair loss has gotten so much worse this last year. I love my bio hair which is wavy/curly and I basically scrunch, air dry & go! Yeah it gets frizzy but that adds to the volume & I can just spritz with a little water refresh the waves & curls so easily! I used to have super thick hair so now I feel bald & don't want to be seen in public with it. If I wear a wig, I feel like everyone is thinking "wig" even though I like some of them but I feel very self conscious in them, plus they are not all the same color or style, so that makes it more obvious. I really don't want to say goodbye to my bio hair.😪, but maybe it's inevitable? I feel it makes me look so much older with thin balding hair & my husband looks ver young & he likes for me to look as nice as possible. I do notice other older women wearing their thin bio hair. Maybe if I had friends who wore wigs it wouldn't be so bad. I don't have anyone to get a second opinion on if something looks wiggy. Sorry this is so long!!! Appreciate you wig sister! ❤❤❤

I'm so sorry for your hair loss! What to do about it is such a dilemma. Sending you hugs! If we lived near each other, I would gladly be your person and would be honest, but unfortunately, it's hard to tell over video.... wigs can look great in pictures and videos and different in person. All I can say is that people who know me in real life and know I wear wigs are always shocked how real they look. I've even had friends ask me if my hair had grown back when they see me, thinking there is no way it could be a wig. And this is people who know! ❤️

I have the Elite iRestore w/ battery pack that I bought back when it first came out for $600. And you are right that maintaining the motivation to continue to use it was a struggle because it seems to take so long to see results and I would give up. But since then I have changed my diet (on Keto lost 80 lbs - low carb, no sugar, seed oils or processed food) and improved my health so decided to give it another try. I usually wear it at night before going to bed and that helps with being consistent. I also take some hair vitamins I get from Codeage and use the iRestore products. And I still wear my wigs too. I am seeing some baby hairs appear right behind my hairline and that is encouraging me to continue. Hope you continue to let us know your progress. This video was very timely for me...thanks!

Wigs have been wonderful and maybe have even spoiled me. I enjoy not having to make shop appts for cuts. I just chop my own hair off and have gotten pretty good at getting it shaped ok so I can wear a baseball cap so if I am just running a car errand like grocery pickup. Atone point last summer, I was really hot and ended up chopping it all short. My plan was to buzz cut it but almost immediately I regretted it because it is much easier to keep the longer hairs back with the wig grip and clip the rest out of the way rather than having short hair around my face. I figure the money I save at a salon can easily get me a new wig a year if I want.

I just purchased this device and have used it three times so far, I purchased the battery pack with it so that I can walk around and do things while wearing it and it's a breeze. Mine does get a little warm, lukewarm and it was tight on my head but they will send you smaller pads to change that out or larger pads if it's too loose on your head. You look lovely in your wig, I have one too, but if you decide to try again getting that battery pack might make it a little easier for you to remain consistent. All things are possible. I am a woman despite the name. At 46- ish. Started to lose my hair. Like my mom did. It’s been 2 years. No bald spots anymore. I went to get my haircut last year and they were wondering why the ends of my hair were so much thinner than the rest of my growth. I know it’s expensive but it actually does work. It’s devastating to start losing hair for a man and especially a woman. I didn’t use anything else just the helmet. I call it my space ball hat. But it was worth every penny. I bought the professional. I had all over thinning but at crown I did have bald patches. They are gone now. 25 minutes every other day is worth it. I have the same battery pack and still works and holds charge. Easy. Also i recently started to use Nizoral anti dandruff shampoo because it does block some chemicals that can cause hair thinning but only recently did I find out about it. I no longer worry about having to style my hair and cover my bald spots. My best friend finally told me she was concerned when she saw how I was going bald and she now has bought one for herself. She just bought it but I can say it worked for me amazingly and I was not paid or given anything for this review. It does take time. So keep at it for a year at least. Take your own before and after pics. See for yourself.

I used the iRestore Essential for a week then exchanged it for the iRestore Professional. Both helmets were comfortable. It took about 5 minutes to get used to it the first time, but after that I had no trouble. I would say the Professional fit my head better than the Essential model, but was slightly hotter. I wear it with the portable battery so I can move around. The portable battery works great - it clips to a belt or a waistband. Then you are not tethered to an outlet for the 25 minutes.

I tried the iRestore Professional 282 Model for almost a year. I used the laser very consistently every other day as directed; I only missed using it a few times. I did not experience any regrowth of my hair. I have scarring alopecia; this is a very difficult kind of hair loss to treat. It might work for someone else; but, it did not work for me.

Does the foam part make a dent on your forehead? I'm using the cappillus laser cap which I realize is a different brand but it was the one my dermatologist recommended. I appreciated your review of I restore. It's the most comprehensive one I have heard. I have scarring alopecia and my dermatologist said that though they say scarring alopecia doesn't grow back sometimes it does with various treatments so I figured I would try it. Im using minoxidil in tandem. As others have commented if there is a big hair loss don't expect the moon but I have been using it 3 1/2 months and I think that it has boosted my hair growth. I wear wigs but I feel like if there is a chance for more hair regroth it's worth a try

I was also told that I have scarring Alopecia but I also know that some of the studies say that the helmet has worked on some people with scarring Alopecia. I also know what I see and I see follicles with little earbuds in the areas where I am supposedly scarred and I don't know why someone can't possibly have two types of alopecia so I think it's worth my while to try the laser cap if only to thicken up the hair that I do have which I keep very long just to use to cover the crown area if needed. I don't trust anyone to trim my hair anymore because they take too much off and it may not sufficiently cover what I want to try and cover

You should use it as recommended in order to get the best results. I don’t know if you can reduce frequency once you achieve the results you are looking for, but I believe that for those that this actually works, it is about both regrowing the hair and preventing future hair loss so frequency is key.

    • @brodenmacarthur3955

It is supposed to be used every other day for 25 minutes. That’s what I do. I feel bad hearing about some not having the results I have had. Faithful user for 2 years and my I have no more bald spots. I’m not sure why you can’t use it every day - I just went by the recommended use. They do have a new version that is more expensive and you wear it every day for 12 minutes. So I don’t understand that and I did contact company about it on a chat and didn’t get a proper answer. The 25 minutes goes by quick with the battery pack and I like every other day. I never got answer but I did get amazing results. I am 2 years deep and I think I have all the hair back that I needed. Hope that helps.
