I have this amp and it's fabulous. Used on stage many times. Great playing on the video. Great review and breakdown of the features.

@@sergioandresvahos281 it cranks. it sounds awesome, has outputs if you want to use them for direct, and is a beasty bastard. You would not have buyers remorse buying a laney

@@Anonymiad do You know how is the thing with the loudspeaker extension output? If i'm going to connect other amplifier or cabinet I must disconect the Main speaker or not?
@@sergioandresvahos281 sorry for late reply. It's been a while since I've had it on stage. I dont think you have to disconnect, but i could be wrong on that. Its really loud as it is. It can easily over power drums etc.
Probably the best demo I have seen on any amp. It showed me everything I needed to know. Great vid!

Those edge of breakup tones on the Clean channel are so good. I could stay on that channel the whole time.

I have this amp, they are amazing. Run it with no pedals, just the built in boost and gain, it’s sabbath in a box
Great playing and tonal demo by Nick (as usual), but I'd have loved to have had captioned overlays indicating which setting/pedal etc was being applied throughout the video during all the comparison sections (although the pull boosts being shown certainly sufficed at those points). Def a minor point, though.
I own the 15 Watt IRT head and cab, and I can attest to great tone abounding! Considering now upgrading to the 3-channel version at some point. Thanks for the demo!

An MXR 75 Super Badass Distortion sounds incredible in the clean channel of this IMO.

Hmmm, I'm surprised if the pull-shift on the mids made any difference at all, with the control at 12:00. These tone controls appear to be "Baxandall" type, with "flat" at the midpoint. Surely, you should crank the knob either forwards or back, to get a noticeable boost or cut, before adjusting the shift, which should change the center-frequency of the boost/cut?
Sounds great; has that warm Laney sound but with a little more midrange grind. I was going to get a Laney GH100L but might get this instead since it sounds like it would cut through a mix better.
Could have demonstrated the attenuator.
Laneys rule this is the best amp fir any sound for real look ni further you found it bliss.clean rock metal insane .punk hippy trippy.pop.industrial. my main rig 2 of these blows anything else down i can hear easy and never drounded out .by anything.bass or drums . audience can hear great complements

This amp is either very tiny or that man is massive
The IRT30 is only 30 Watts and not 60 as the description states. They do sell a 60 watt 2x12 version.

@David C agree. I have a 22 watt super-sonic that is too loud to be within 30 feet of.
I'd sure like to have this amp. It got a bad rap a few years ago for not having enough sparkle. But that what treble booster are for. This amp has a great drive sound. Unique to Laney.

This guy is a beautiful person but never says anything negative about the gear he reviews. I would really appreciate your honest opinion on these reviews. I think this particular amp sounds generic like any other digital blackstar or Marshall "tube" amp. When really it's sort of hybrid. These type cheap Asian "tube" amps.
I have the IRT Studio which is basically the 15watt rackmountable tube head version. It has some great tones in it and it's extra features work very well like DI out and headphone out sound very much the same as the speaker out without that crap tone you usually get from line outs and so on. No it's not a hand wired turret board point to point classic tube amp but still very useful and does sound great. I run it into a 100watt Orange Pedal Baby power amp if I want to get stupid loud but at only 15 watts it's still loud enough for most situations especially if you mic your cab live.
I own this amp, standing in font of it as it pushes air with creamy tube warmth, is pure bliss.
you have no ears then. this sounds wayy better than a comparable blackstar combo. even I can tell that just from a youtube video.
I'm getting old. This type of sound and playing is such a bore.
