Excuse the language but your playing and choice of melodies is fucking SUBLIME. Could not represent our amplifier better ourselves. Thank you, sharing this on our socials now!
I do NOT forgive your language ma'am!!! I will have you KNOW that I just ordered one of these! So, TAKE THAT! If that does not teach you to use better language I will buy another! Damn you...DAMN YOU TO HECK! TO HECK I SAY! Good day, ma'am. I have said, GOOD DAY!
I gotta say your demos are solid. No bullshit and straight to the point with good recording quality. You're not only playing blues riffs or only shredding for the whole video. You play multiple genres through multiple guitars with multiple settings so everyone of all styles can get an idea of how an amp sounds. Keep it up man
I'm convinced that if there ever was such a thing, this dude is an amp whisperer. Everything played seems perfect for the guitar, pickups, tone or whatever else he is trying to showcase. and to the person that said this video convinced you to buy a tele, I'm with you. I'm putting mine back together today.
So I ended up buying one of these heads brand new on a run out sale in Australia last week, with my decision being based on this video. Let me tell you, I'm not disappointed. This is one of the best sounding overdriven heads I've played though. It sounds just like a Marshall on steroids and can get just about any tone you like. The cleans are better than a Marshall or Mesa, the inbuilt boost is great and it sounds really good turned down to minimum on the wattage control. I couldn't be happier and for the price, I'll never sell this head. Thanks 😊
I'm amazed you are so good in capturing the essence of so many genres in these riffs. Basically, with every riff, you remind me of what I used to like about a band or a solo guitar artist at some point in my life.
Holy shit, that was easily the best demo of the IRT-60H I've seen. Thank you for that ! Liked and subscribed \m/ That Tele btw, damn. Sounds so good. The blue one.
Simply amazing! I own and love my Ironheart 60, but I never got it to sound that awesome! And also your playing is fabulous! I had so much fun listening to you!
Wow! Really impressive range of styles and tones, the most comprehensive amp demo I've seen so far. I really enjoy you playing and production, just awesome! 🤘😎🤘
Thanks for doing these in depth demo videos. They are great! So many amp demos are just one sided but you really nail the variety of tones when showcasing these amps. Great player too.
I bought IRT60 head used for 350€ and could not be happier about it. This amp really is a great metal amp but it also works well with almost every style and guitar you throw at it. This is a true Swiss army knife of guitar world. Thank you for the great video: every clip sounds good.
I have the Studio model, and damn, this little thing does everything. I haven't turned my JSX on in months, and i love it to death, that's how good the IRT is. And i still haven't explored the push/pull stuff on the EQ ... It's the first time i've clearly heard what they do, thanks for keeping most of the settings at 12 o'clock, it made it very easy to hear the difference, especially with mids !
I really like reviews ala playthrough))) P.S. I'm impressed how cool Ironheart sounds without boost. My amp, without overdrive or compressor, sounds like felts.
I love mine. I put in 6L6GC matched set from Engl and all the ECC83 from Engl too. A huge difference in noise and more gain. The EL34 sound more compressed, the 6L6GC give more Headroom. Impressive Demo from what the Amp can really do. If someone in the future asks for a good demo, then this one will be the one. Keep it up
I played the 15w lunchbox version for years, and even that little bastard beats most amps I've heard and tested over the years. It has all that clarity and smoothness in the top end, and really clear note definition even under bucket loads of gain.
Got the 15w like 10 months ago, it's indeed packing a lot of punch and sounds amazing. Gives my JSX head or run for it's money, for sure, while being smaller, litteraly 5 times lighter (5kg vs 25), and way cheaper.
Thanks for the video. I've had the amp a few years now. Got some good tips for settings from this. Best amp demo i've seen, need to check out your other vids.
I have this head and use the itr212 with it. Super light cab and it has huge tone. The clean channel is an open pallete for pedaling or just enjoying and the rythm channel is flexible as hell. The lead channel kicks everyones ass. Perfect for clubs and versatile as hell. Soft rock to black metal. Hell even jazz. Plenty of volume and head space
This was my first amp that I really liked and kept to this day. I think I got mine in 2012. Great tone machine. Little on the noisy side perhaps and the build quality is OK, not amazing but it's alright. The reverb on mine took a shit and died years ago... not that I miss it, but for the price, you'll have a hard time looking for something that is equally good. Blablabla I love the shit out of mine. As usual, you killed it, mate.
I own this amp and love it.. At the time of purchase I played in a hard rock band. This amp kicked ass. I used a tube screamer in front for a tiny bit of extra gain to push it over the top. Now I use it for recording all different types of stuff. It sounds great. I use either Marshall 4x12 1960A cab, or a 2x12 GK .. sounds mint through either one
I wish I could find a way to replicate Mattias eklundh's tone somehow. Even though I owned the smaller ironheart studio. I no longer have it but man that amp sounds good too. Mattias's tone is perfection.
People always compare amps with popular classics (JCM, Recto, 5150 etc) but this thing is it's own beast. My bandmate plays one and if I didn't have my VH100R I would get an Ironheart instantly
Every time I think I've found the right amp, I come here and completely change my mind. Probably says a lot more about you than the amps. Still, I think you may have just sold me on Laney... I think
Recently I got into a band and now I gotta get rid of that crappy solid state head and that cheap ass cab I've been owning for years, cause our second guitarist is blowing up my gear with his Peavey 6505 and his Engl Pro Cab ... So, guess it's time for getting my first tube amp, but I'm still on a budget. Do you think the Laney Ironheart 120 together with that Harley Benton 412 from Thomann (pretty 'cheap' cab but loaded with V30s) would do the job and keep up with the Peavey 6505/Engl Pro setup?
This video is awesome in every way. Love your riffs, tones, the way it's shot and edited, everything. Greatly appreciate your work (is it just you, or is there a team?), keep it up! Liked and subscribed.
Excellent earplay of possibilities,. . . ../////////// .. i own the iR 60 also , i have somewhat different settings , play creamy , punchy death, thrash and doom stuff , indeed needs some exploring , only thing missing imnsho is a loop switch on the footcontroller , and a midi switch (altho the last 1 i do not use myself) the price / quality is perfect .. for those who still are not sure,... tweak and find the right EQ settings and your golden , my only effect in use for the sound i want is a transparant Overdrive , ...just to boost the input signal to the right amount , in combination with the Pick Up >> guitar ..
Have any of you tried the XLR direct output of this amp? How the sound quality compares to DI output of reactive load boxes? I want to record this amp and use Impulse responses in a DAW in post. I don't know if it's worth spending money on torpedo or some other load box if there will be no quality improvement. Thanks! I know the DI output volume depends on the overall amp volume, but I could buy a cheap attenuator instead expensive load box for the silent recording if only the amp DI output is good enough.
Great amps, much better than anything by Marshall or Fender in the sub 1000 price range (with those you pay a lot for their marketing costs). Just the best tube amps for home use. Which 60 watt marshall at this price can be adjusted to just 1 watt for the bedroom?
Finally got this amp head gotta say Laney this is my taste of clean crunch and Dist. And we can only say one thing about Sonic Drive Studio it's fanstastic representation of Laney "it is just so so good" THe sound just spells out Fuck I gotta have this Amp Head. When the amp gods takes me my Laney will be going with me. Yep have 3 if there is any room in my coffin I think the blues and rock Gods will be so very happy .
You confused me with this review, i was about to but an old ENGL powerball 1 from 15 years, but this laney sounds great here, and a new one for the same price as the old Powerball . Wich one do you prefer ? Im a little lost now 😅

this guy is weird !
Yeah. I love lane stuff. Have an aor 50 that needs service. But i didn't realize how versatile this amp iron heart was!
I gotta say your demos are solid. No bullshit and straight to the point with good recording quality. You're not only playing blues riffs or only shredding for the whole video. You play multiple genres through multiple guitars with multiple settings so everyone of all styles can get an idea of how an amp sounds. Keep it up man
HES THE BEST ON UA-cam BY FAR!
Very true!
You read my mind.
Iron heart series is still so underrated somehow...
It sometimes looks, some products are way too underpriced for their own good.
Irt60c is my main amp, I love the versatility
Just got me the 120 version, sounds absolutely killer
Ive always found it odd how over looked laney kinda has been at least in the states.
@@johnymartin5411 exactly, it’s the most American sounding British amp, with all the right British qualities to it
I have this amp for 8 years.... love the crunch tone even it is supposed to be a high gain amp
Purchased one a few weeks back. The amp is for no other better words fucking phenomenal. Can't wait to use her in the live setting
I'm amazed you are so good in capturing the essence of so many genres in these riffs. Basically, with every riff, you remind me of what I used to like about a band or a solo guitar artist at some point in my life.
ive had my IRT 120 for 10 years or more and i play Blues, Country, Metal, and Rock, and the amp does it all so well and looks great on stage.
This might be the best gear review I have Ever seen, you hit so many styles and showed it off really well... Getting one of these tomorrow...
If anything, I think I just decided that I need a Tele.
These Laney Ironheart's seem to be very impressive. Perhaps an underrated amp in the guitar-community? PS love all your riffs!
Holy shit, that was easily the best demo of the IRT-60H I've seen. Thank you for that ! Liked and subscribed \m/
That Tele btw, damn. Sounds so good. The blue one.
The crunchy Rock n Roll Riff is really cool
Just got my IRT60 today. Compared to my PRS MT-15, it definitely sounds more massive even at loud volume. I like both amps.
I buy this amp some years ago, after watching Keith Merrow video... and still is my favorite and best amp (have a JCM900 and EVH 5150 III also)
Which one of your amps have the most upper-mids that easily cut through the mix? 5150iii, JCM900, this Laney or?
@@presidenthavok6285 maybe the JCM900, but the Laney has a little more bite in the crunch channel... 5150 is too noisy
Seriously u prefer this amp to those? May I ask why?
Same here
@@EmperorSamoth666 What's the crunch channel on a Laney Ironheart? Kind regards, an Ironheart 120W owner.
Came here to hear the Laney, stuck around for the great guitar work!
Amazing demo!!! I'm so glad i bought the head when i did, the amp is so versatile and for the price, there's just no comparison!
Loved the ESP demo sound
Simply amazing! I own and love my Ironheart 60, but I never got it to sound that awesome! And also your playing is fabulous! I had so much fun listening to you!
Goddamnit, I've never liked the sound of this amp before clicking on this vid.
We need more riffs mate, you write some of the best stuff on UA-cam
Working on new riffs as we speak :)
@@SonicDriveStudio I'm gonna wet myself
Yeah, your riffs are amazing 👍👍
Proud IRT owner. I have a thing for Laney anyway, but these amps are impressive as anything you could put up against it
This is so bad ass. I'm singing in my head to these riffs 🤘🏻
It's always nice finding a new channel worth subscribing to, great work man!
Wow! Really impressive range of styles and tones, the most comprehensive amp demo I've seen so far. I really enjoy you playing and production, just awesome! 🤘😎🤘
Great vid with very cool guitars. Love the way you show the knob settings.
No talking no bullshit just great tones from the best gear reviewer on UA-cam
Thanks for doing these in depth demo videos. They are great! So many amp demos are just one sided but you really nail the variety of tones when showcasing these amps. Great player too.
Very impressed with the Clean Tones, and More Classic Crunch Tones, and of course the High Gain Tones too
That’s the first all black mushok I’ve seen, badass!
I bought IRT60 head used for 350€ and could not be happier about it. This amp really is a great metal amp but it also works well with almost every style and guitar you throw at it. This is a true Swiss army knife of guitar world. Thank you for the great video: every clip sounds good.

That solo- lead part always gets me! So sweet and tasteful...
Awsome playing and very good comparison.

I bought the first version about 6 years ago, and it’s still going strong, it’s a monster.
That is a real pro demo ! Thank you for your generosity and good work !
