RIP to Justices Ginsburg and Scalia. No matter what side you were on politically, both Justices lived their lives with dignity and grace. Despite their fierce ideological differences they formed a strong friendship and always treated each other with respect. They were the model of how we should get along with those we don't agree with. I hope their lesson does not die with them.

Unfortunately, this claim was just a misrepresentation concocted by Hannity and Sen. Lindsay Graham back in 2005. She merely cited a 1973 legislation that referred to lowering the age of consent to 12. However, she did not do so to condone the content of the legislation itself. Instead, she sought to praise it for its use of gender neutral pronouns. I wish people on the left would stop calling Scalia a sexist homophobe, and I wish people on the right would stop mischaracterizing Ginsburg as a pedophile apologist.

While I never, If ever agreed with RBG on her decisions. I loved how she and Scalia were the perfect examples of how to act concerning differing views . They attacked the ideas and not each other, a lesson current politicians could use in today’s climate.

Ironically, Amy Coney Barrett is filling Justice Ginsburg’s seat. Justice Scalia and justice Ginsburg were the best Of friends. Justice Scalia was Barrett’s mentor. There are too many parallels to ignore. I think Barrett would be a great addition to the Court!

October 1st 2020: Both Scalia and Ginsburg have died... and a clerk to the former stands to become the next SCOTUS justice. The political landscape is extremely polarized, with at least half the country wondering/hoping that whomever gets appointed, upholds the constitution above all else...

Jesus Christ, she and Scalia got along while disagreeing fundamentally on their judicial philosophies. Can't people who's biggest issue is that the they show up one day every 2-4 years and just vote for different people get along too? Everything is so fucking personal.

I had read papers that stated to the fact that both Scalia and Ginsburg had a pretty good relationship, although they could not be any further apart on their rulings as they were, and yes, it did show thru in living color !!!! I must say that I myself have a respect for RBG, and I don't like it much when someone makes fun of her, regardless of who she is, and thru an appointment from one of the worst presidents ever to sit in the oval office, she filled her seat, and voted in the traditional way. I remember her as being one fiery orator, She could take a statute of law that was handed from Congress, and she would argue with a cigar store wooden Indian, till the Indian would weep, and give into what she was saying. I want to say one more thing here about Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Respect. Ruth gave respect, and she DEMANDED RESPECT from whom ever was going to address her. Any Associate Justice of the Supreme Court should expect no less. Tho they are Mortal Men and Women , their sharp mind, and keen wit brought out the best on both sides. She was as serious as a bicycle wreck when she was talking. After all, Ruth was living the court as a Liberal. I can honestly say that I do NOT agree with one .... nope not even one ruling that she handed down the justice that she had interpreted to be what was best in this situation, even though, I may think its totally wrong, Her time on the SCOTUS just actually shows what one person can do, and she loves to be an assistant Justice. As that, I salute her, but I also would love for her to step down, and not pass away as a justice. but as is heard. She intends to stay there till death finds her, or another LIBTARD
OH YAY. OH YAY, OH YAY. OH YAY,
ALL RISE, FACE THE FLAG. RECOGNIZE THE PRINCIPAL, AND THE POWERS THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHALL NOW COME TO ORDER. ALL THE JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT ARE PRESENT AND ARE READY FOR BOTH NEW AND OLD BUSINESS. IF YOU HAVE A MATTER THAT IS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THIS COURT TO AJUDICATE, PLEASE DRAW NIGHT, GIVE THE CLERK OF THE COURT YOUR STATEMENT, PAPERWORK, AND BE LISTED ON THE DOCKET. ALL PERSONS WHO HAVE PLEADINGS BEFORE THIS COURT SHALL BE CALLED IN ORDER, AND WHEN YOUR CASE IS CALLED, PLEASE DRAW TO THE WITNESS BOX, AND YOUR ATTORNEY WILL PLEAD FOR YOU.
MAY GOD BLESS THE SOLEM COURT, AND MAY GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES !
and upon that statement, the Chief Justice Roberts will gavel the court into session and then, one of the most powerful organizations in the world, SCOTUS would take their proper seat, as called for in the Constitution, and the rule of law..And now, this
