Another great video. I know how you fill when it comes to getting things done on your project. I bought a 61 Caddy two years ago ,I thought hell as good as it looked I'd have it done in no time. Boy was I wrong. Had thre bent valves so I decided to go ahead and rebuild the motor. I didn't realize how expensive the parts where and with being retired and money being tite sometimes it took longer then I wanted. But watching you and your work has made me realize things take time. Thanks again for your videos and sharing your thoughts and knowledge. I hope to be able to see you in Michigan in September

I know that I am getting ahead of things , But in the style of the Hurst that gives its self to the color black / It would be my suggestion to take a look at a red candy mix with it . Such a great color and it would go great with custom engraved side glass with smoke tent . You know what would also be TRICK is that put the slide rails back in the rear pan to accommodate [ think hard on My Brain fart ] // Think Origami // There will be a Coffin but it slides out the back to fold out to a bed . Do you have all the glass for that. A guy here in idaho has one of those in a field and has all the glass and 90%of the stainless and chrome on the car is really nice. All the glass has the green tint and is in good cond except the top corners are foggy on the edges about 1/2. A few months ago he was talking about dragging it out with his tractor to send to scrap.
@@Theoldironworkshop that's a good price if it's new. If you weren't so far you probably could have got all the glass for nothing. He has been putting it on different sites for free parts so it gets used instead of crushed. Good to see the progress your making. Allot of fab work.

That is just an awesome, awesome car. And I cannot believe one guy can do what you are doing to the car. (Don't take that the wrong way.) I've got a 1947 De Soto, and one of the skills I want to learn is to weld. On a budget. There are MIG welders and all kinds of initials that I know nothing about. From what I've seen on You Tube, you need to learn how to tack metal together and weld seams. Simplified. Is there a welder that's good for both at an affordable price? I only have minimal welding to do: rockers, spare tire well, very moderate amount of rust. The car's in pretty darn good shape. Maybe it would be cheaper to have the welding done than to buy equipment that I won't use too much. Be much obliged for any suggestions and advice. Are you also going to paint the car yourself?
