Stopping the clock in a fantastic 9.443 seconds over 400 meters in the quarter-mile race, Sofuoğlu was the man of the hour at the speed spectacle on the brand new but not yet open Istanbul airport.

actually not that much. Most of them are either government assets or private assets of friends of the government. Sofoğlu owns the h2r, as serves at the parlement. F16 is obvious government owned. Lotus is probably belongs to Razgatlıoğlu who is a student of Sofoğlu (both are proffesional motorbike racers). The challenger belongs to a construction group called "Kalyon group" which had many highly lucrative government contracts including the airport that the race takes place. F1 car is Redbull's who make the video. Yağız Avcı is a rally driver again with Redbull. I am guessing he either owns the Aston or Redbull shiped one for the race.

@@kyrptindude6079 Actually, you can. If the jet hasn't reached V1 speed yet, it can abort. Istanbuls runways are 3750m and 4100m long, and this race was a quarter mile. Even if the fighter was at V1 speed, which it wasn't, it would have had over two kilometres to slow down and stop. Also, no fighter goes supersonic at ground level, at least not regularly. Supersonic flight is usually done above a certain altitude as air is thinner up there and the plane has less resistance; when close to the ground, it's like running through water, metaphorically speaking. Even during a takeoff roll with afterburners running, the plane would probably have been going maybe 260-300kph? That speed is assuming it had a slow launch and faster top end, given jet engines lag a little bit, and the H2R barely hit 300kph in the quarter mile.
Basically, you can stop a jet engine on that runway, and your whole comment is wrong. The jet took off because theatrics, it looks cool, and it was for a promotional event.

Evil Gummy Bear I would argue that everything was struggling for grip, you can see the 11s the F1 left at the start. It was also screaming for grip through most gears until it finally hooked. If they had grip, I don’t think the result would change either way though.

Yes... I wonder how was the F1 car set up to accelerate so slowly, because according to technical specs it should beat the bike even on average setup.
@Franz Xaver Fuchsberger at top speeds, yes. But initially the downforce makes more friction and allows higher acceleration before the tyre stars to slip. Motorbike can only dream about this 😉 Anyway technical specs of f1 car acceleration vs this bike, which I found, favour the F1 car in acceleration 0-300kmph. Unless it's aerodynamics is set up in suboptimal way.

Nothing is perfect if you use full power on F1 it will just keep spinning it'd wheels and all of the cars will pass him
And the Bike is hard to keep Front lift down if you use full throttle on the bike it will go upside down
If you wondering F1s are fast then listen
F1 with full grip no Down force
And H2R with No Front lift full throttle and full grip
If both had these things Both will accelerate so fast but the Bikes seems to pickup speeds much quicker than anything else cuz they have got So much less weight

If you comepare super cars vs Super bikes
Off the line cars will get more traction but after 50 meters the bike will accelerate much much quicker

I'm only 16 and i have a bike but it's in Mexico where we visit during the summer. I want to have my own bike when i grow up. I'm still a little rusty with the gear shifts but I'm getting the hang of it. Of course i can't really call myself someone who rides mortorcycles since it's only during the summers, but i could always watch other people ride. My dream bike is a kawasaki ninja. I know if i work my butt of, I can get it someday.
Until I watched this video, I was confused which one to buy - fighter jet or Tesla or H2R.... I ended up buying scooty cos I can't afford any of them...😛

SR-71 would still be sad and depressed in a aviation museum because the F-16's overall acceleration was significantly faster and obviously more elastic to performs than the legendary SR-71, plus that proudly boasting mach 3+ top speed records at high altitude flight are basically obsolete and wouldn't happening at all in sea level flight.
Riding the h2r upto those speeds takes a lot of balls compared to any of those road machines. However all the divers, rider and pilots deserve respect for what they do.
Yea but does it take years of training like it does to be able to pilot an f16. I'd say taking a jet to over mach1 takes a bit bigger balls then the twisting of a throttle.

A gearing most probably is best for H2R
I would like longer 1st gear for no wheelie 2 3 4 gears stacked together for crazy Acceleration and longer 5 and 6th gears for more pull on top end 350+ kph
Amazing to think how cheap the H2R is in comparison to everything else. World class acceleration at an affordable price!
