Bushbox should be paying you, showing off their workmanship for the extremely rugged stove. Being able to beat the stove and it will still function as it was intended to. Plus, they should send you another two for free. One for you and one for a lucky giveaway 😂

This is a fine simple stove. You share what many of us have experienced. I am a slow-feeder because that is how it works best. Later in the evening, a bit larger sticks or batoned pieces work for warmth and atmosphere.

Had mine (Titanium LF) a couple of years with the little extra shelf. I boil water on it, fry on it and use it as a portable fire pit for some warmth and atmosphere. Really pleased with it. I've used it with several alcohol burners with good results too.

Keep in mine you have to oil it every once in a while which helps keep it from sticking, but in general its a bomb proof design.

I brought a fire box through Scott's link for the scouts jamboree fund. Used it with the Lomo Watersports tripod to make the best tasting bacon butties ever. Then kept topping it up through the night whilst I read my book! I have to get one of yours for the food bank charity. Stay safe Dan atvb 👍🦊

Ive got the firebox XL. Had it for years and still pukka. I cut up 5 tesco delivery boxes worth of kindling on the chop saw to perfect size. I only get out camping 3 or 4 times a year now so i will cook breakfast on the garden with this regular and meals on the fire pit weekly , next best thing lol.

Nice video and I do enjoy your videos. I like the content and I enjoy listening to the way you enunciate your words. This video appealed to me because I have a lot of things (gear) in my possession that I just had to have but never use. I think I enjoyed things more when they were harder to come by. Glad to see you're not giving up on an item just because it's got some miles on it. I have a firebox stove that's a great piece of kit. I mainly use it as a chimney for starting briquettes. If need be I'm sure it serve me well as a stove; some day?

In my experience, doesn't matter what kinda of wood stove you have, making a sweedish torch to fit inside is usually the best choice, burns extremely well, no maintenance, central heat for cooking or boiling fast. If you wanna do steaks or the likes after boiling, drop in some thick chunky 2x2 inch cuts of a local hardwood and pull the coals up from the sweedish left overs...

hi dan, i love my bushbox but i also absolutely love using your stove too! it's easy to assemble, great airflow and rock solid once it's up and running.
ok, the bushbox is slightly more flexible in that you can use the grill plates and even steel tent pegs pushed through to hold various pots etc.
however i don't see why you can't modify your stove to have similar features.
    many thanks and best regards.

Bought one of those cheap £10 Lixada clip together firebox stoves just to play with.
It's been abused to hell, everything from cooking with some kindling, to a full blown firepit.
Every single panel is warped, it's filthy and rusty..... but still goes together no problem and works as it should.
I wouldn't say you use yours wrong, at the end of the day it's a box designed to have a fire in. Which is exactly what you do.

By the way, have you ever tried using a mini chainsaw for your outdoor adventures? It can be incredibly helpful for gathering firewood and preparing your camp setup efficiently. I'd love to hear your thoughts on incorporating it into your outdoor gear.
